Happy Friday everyone! Guess what?! It’s here… The Barnyard Bird update 2.0 is here!! This is a MANDATORY Barnyard Bird update. Please read this Customer Connection and all notecards included with the MANDATORY 2.0 updater in world because most of your question can be answered in them. First let me take a moment to tell you all about the fixes and changes.
Fixes:
- Fixed shades showing on birds.
- Fixed settings being changed when updated.
- Fixed companion showing in hover text.
- Fixed Robo Bird blue prim.
Changes:
- **Added ALL NEW FOOD AND CONSUMABLES** (See notecard ***ALL NEW AMARETTO FOOD AND CONSUMABLES INFORMATION***BIRDS included in updater box for more information)
- Added new product “Beloved Bird” to make your bird a pet.
- Added new products “Hefty Mix Pack”, “Barley Bird Diet Hefty Pack (25)” and “Orange Rinds Hefty Pack (25)”.
- Added Vivacity Corn Single (Boxed) to the sanctuary vendors.
- Can now update your incubator no need to get new one for each update (This will be effective in future updates >2.0)
Somethings you need to know about the updater:
**IF THE BULK UPDATER DOESN’T UPDATE ALL YOUR BIRDS, RE-REZ THE BIRD AND TRY IT AGAIN, YOU MAY ALSO USE THE SINGLE UPDATER FOR BIRDS THE BULK UPDATER DOES NOT UPDATE**
1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one. If you continue to try and update your bird It will give you another error message and have you pick one updater up and reset the other. (touch and wait 5 seconds to reset)
2. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater.
Update Instructions:
Single Updater: Place the updater near the bird that isn’t updated and click the bird and click the update button. The bird will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process. ***DO NOT PICK UP BIRDS OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***
Bulk Updater: Place the bulk updater in the middle of your bird breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your birds to be set to after the update process, then click the update birds button on the updater menu. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all birds and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED. ***DO NOT PICK UP BIRDS OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

With v2.0, Amaretto has implemented all new food and consumables that have safety protocols. This was done to protect Amaretto as well as the community. Below are some F.A.Q. regarding the new food and consumables.
Q: Will older version birds use the new food and consumables?
A: No. The new food and consumables will only work with v2.0 and higher. Older version birds MUST be updated to use the new food and consumables.
Q: Will v2.0 birds use the old food and consumables?
A: No. Only older version birds will use the old food and consumables.
Q: I just purchased the old food/consumables, can I exchange it for new food/consumables?
A: Yes. We will be exchanging old food/consumables for new food/consumables purchased one month before the update. So if you purchased old food/consumables from April 22, 2015 until May 22, 2015, you can file a support ticket with transaction history and we will send new food/consumables to you in world.
Q: What safety protocols were added to the new food/consumables?
A: Although I can not go into great detail, I can tell you that the new food/consumables are recorded on our servers when purchased and now have a UUID just as the birds/nests do. When a breeder purchases food/consumables a “count” is added which only allows the breeder to rez that specific amount. Because of this, they can no longer be copied due to roll backs and will break if this is attempted.
Q: Have the permissions on the food/consumables changed?
A: No. The new food and consumables are still no copy/no mod/no trans.
