Happy Thursday everyone! Its the very last day of the month and we have so much excitement going on! Tomorrow we will celebrate Amaretto being in Second Life for 7 years and counting!

I mentioned at the start of the month that i would be picking 1 breeder to be breeder of the month! Well it is time to announce our first Amaretto Breeder of the Month!

Drum roll please…………

Petr Hastings-Vanbeeck (Petr Vanbeeck)! I choose Petr to be this months Breeder of the Month!

Petr has been breeding in Amaretto for a number of years! He knows his Amaretto stuff so well that he was once a mod. Petr is always very helpful in the group and it doesn’t matter which one!

Petr has breed everything from K-9s, Barnyard Birds, to Horses, and now Ponies! I choose Petr to be this months Breeder of the Month because he is always so helpful and kind. Petr is the kind of breeder that Amaretto needs someone kind, helpful, and always up to something new!

Congrats Petr! If you guys see him in the group or at a market or auction be sure to say hello! Remember Ava’s eyes are always watching for next months Breeder of the Month. Petr has received this trophy and a really awesome prize pack from Amaretto!

I am so excited for tomorrows festivities hope to see all of you out there! Happy breeding everyone this is Ava over and out!

Absolutely Amazing Albinos!

Hello Amaretto community and happy Tuesday! I wanted to take a moment to talk about some beautiful horses… The Albinos! Take a look below where I cover all the information about an albino! There are a few different Albinos that you can breed for and they all come with a very special eye that does have the ability to pass! You can see all the beautiful Albino eyes at this link:

http://wiki.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Albino_Eyes

Let’s take a look at the Albino coats! You can also visit this link at anytime to see them:

Albino

Albino Clydesdale

Albino Fell Pony

Albino Shetland

Albino Mystique

Albino Exmoor Pony

Albino Percheron

How can you get your own Albino? Well Albinos come from breeding 2 full siblings together.  That means they have the EXACT same mother and father.  The siblings don’t have to have the same traits only the same parents.  Now to get the other Albinos you have to meet the qualifications for those.  Let’s go over what they are:

Albino Clydesdale:

The Albino Clydesdale come randomly from full siblings.

In order for a chance at an Albino Clydesdale one of these full siblings MUST BE a Clydesdale.

Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling.

The Albino Clydesdale coat does NOT pass.

However, breeding an Albino Clydesdale with it’s sibling does slightly increase your chance for another Albino or Albino Clydesdale.

Albino Fell Pony

The Albino Fell Pony comes from full siblings.

In order for a chance at an Albino Fell Pony one of these full siblings MUST BE a Fell Pony.

Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling.

The Albino Fell Pony coat does NOT pass.

However, breeding an Albino Fell Pony with it’s sibling does slightly increase your chance for another Albino or Albino Fell Pony.

Albino Shetland

The Albino Shetland comes randomly from full siblings.

In order for a chance at an Albino Shetland one of these full siblings MUST BE a Shetland.

Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling.

The Albino Shetland coat does NOT pass.

However, breeding an Albino Shetland with it’s sibling does slightly increase your chance for another Albino or Albino Shetland.

Albino Mystique

If you breed two Mystique siblings together you have the chance at an Albino Mystique!

Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling Mystique.

The Albino Mystique coat does NOT pass.

However, breeding an Albino Mystique with it’s sibling does slightly increase your chance for another Albino Mystique.

Albino Exmoor Pony

The Albino Exmoor Pony comes randomly from full siblings.

In order for a chance at an Albino Exmoor Pony one of these full siblings MUST BE an Exmoor Pony.

Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling.

The Albino Exmoor Pony coat does NOT pass.

However, breeding an Albino Exmoor Pony with it’s sibling does slightly increase your chance for another Albino or Albino Exmoor Pony .

Albino Percheron

The Albino Percheron comes randomly from full siblings.

In order for a chance at an Albino Percheron one of these full siblings MUST BE a Percheron.

Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling.

The Albino Percheron coat does NOT pass.

However, breeding an Albino Percheron with it’s sibling does slightly increase your chance for another Albino or Albino Percheron.

Good luck getting an awesome Albino and happy breeding!

Until next time…

Breeding Terms and things you should know…..

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a great Monday! I wanted to talk with you guys about a few breeding terms that you may or may not be familiar with.

DOS- DIrect Off Spring – this means that mom or dad had the trait desired but the animal itself does not! (DOS animals can pass the desired trait even if not showing if mom or dad had the trait)

OSOS- Off Spring of Off Spring- this means mom and dad did not have desired traits but grandma or grandfather did. (OSOS animals can pass the desired trait even if not showing if grandma or grandfather had the trait)

Recovery – Waiting period between pregnancies
Descendants – A breeding cycle
Vintage – When a ponie has used all of its descendants
Pairing – Having two specific horses or K-9s breed with each other only
Companion – Having two specific Birds breed with each other only
Cycles – Each bird starts with 12 cycles which means that they can drop 12 nests.
Nesting – Waiting period between nests

Now lets talk about DOS and OS of LE, SE, CE, or DEs.
A DOS of any of the following LE, SE, CE, or DEs must be showing their hidden surprise to pass it into the DOS and OSOS.

Example: I breed 2 DE Sharks together I CAN NOT get the Great White eye from a DOS of the DE unless it is SHOWING the Great White Eye.

This isnt a new concept to Amaretto all LE, SE, CE, and DEs have always worked this way.

Concerning Posh Ponies, the non posh offspring of Amaretto Posh Ponies do NOT have an increased chance of producing Amaretto Posh Ponies.

Its always a good idea to educate yourself on the truth and learn the ins and outs of Amaretto that is why we have a whole school dedicated to just that! So go check out the ARU if you can! This is Ava over and out!

Pretty Wings

Hey Everyone,

This weekend sure has gone fast, I hope you all enjoyed it!

I really love the barnyard birds and today I’m going to take a look at the wing traits.

At the moment there are 10 wing traits, these are:

Wing Red Heart
Wing Pink Heart
Wing Purple Flower
Wing Teal Flower
Wing Rainbow
Wing Gold
Wing Cranberry Sauce
Wing Gravy
Wing A.R.U.
Wing Celebrate

The Wing trait was first introduced by breeding 2 2016 Wild Love Edition Barnyard Birds together!!

On April 29, 2016 until May 13, 2016 Amaretto wanted to celebrate all our Mothers, with Happy Mother’s Day 2016 Collectors Edition Barnyard Birds!

Any breeding of these Barnyard Birds gave you a chance at the new Wing Purple Flower or Wing Teal Flower!

On August 4th, 2016 until August 19th 2016 Amaretto celebrated Summer 2016 with 2016 Summer Edition – Hang Tens!

Any breeding of these 2016 Summer Edition – Hang Ten gave you the ability to get a brand new Gold or Rainbow Wing!

On Jan 27,2017 Amaretto celebrated ARU Graduates with this Wing A.R.U. that can pass from any 2017 A.R.U. Graduation Edition breeding!

On June 26, 2017 until July 19, 2017 Amaretto celebrated 4th of July with Celebrate Independence 2017 Barnyard Birds!

You could get a new Wing Celebrate from any breeding of these Celebrate Independence 2017 Barnyard Birds!

So be sure to check them out, they definitely accent the breeds nicely.

That was all from me today, happy breeding and see you in world.

Interview with an Amaretto Breeder

This week in my connection I had the pleasure of learning a bit more about Eccentric. If you see her in the groups or out and about feel free to say hello!

Eccentric please tell the community a little about yourself & what brought you to Second Life?
I have been in and out of SL for almost 7 years. I am  a mother and nurse from Iowa. I was brought to SL by a friend years ago because I am truly a down to earth gaming dork in my free time. I replaced my addiction for World of Warcraft with Second Life. I stayed in second life for the amazing amounts of things you can do and the escape from RL.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
Currently I breed Amaretto Ponies and Horses. But I have dabbled in the Birds and Dogs as well.

How did you get started in breedables?
I was roaming SL as a newbie and ran into the original cheetah limited edition that was breeding back at the beginning – and I was hooked. It quickly became an addiction and 1 turned into owning 200.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
At this time I just have Ponies and Horses BUT in the past I have bred fairies, meeroos, turtles, elephants, and about 50 other just for fun breedables. I love breedables and have fun with them but I bore quick and easily so Amaretto is all that has truly kept my interest.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Breedables?
Currently attempting to get my celebrate wings onto a Bluie Fab or Redie Fab with the eyes and long long preferred.

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
Well right now its a tie— Horses I love because I can ride them and just first love with breedables but ponies tie because frankly they make me nostalgic from my childhood and collecting my lil ponies. Dorky I know right!

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
Outside of running Xxtreme Oasis Breedable Ponie Market – photography, building, design, explore & meet new people. I have been very blessed to meet some amazing friends in SL that truly make SL an amazing place to escape and enjoy.

Thank you Eccentric for taking the time to share your story and your love of Amaretto!

Until next time Happy Breeding!!!

Beaks, Beaks & More Beaks!

Hey fellow breeders, it’s Friyay and today I want to take a look at the beak traits in the barnyard birds.

These are some amazing and inventive traits you can put on your birds to make them your own:

The Beak Color trait comes from breeding “Starter Breeds” together or 1 starter with any other bird. Please note that this trait CAN be passed on. – WIKI LINK HERE

The Beak Flaw trait comes from breeding “Starter Breeds” together or 1 starter with any other bird. Please note that this trait CAN be passed on. – WIKI LINK HERE

The Beak Design trait comes from breeding “Starter Breeds” together or 1 starter with any other bird. Please note that this trait CAN be passed on. – WIKI LINK HERE

As you can see there are many beak traits and they all have a unique look. Whats even better though is you can put all 3 of them together and mix them up and try and make a 3 beak traited bird!

That’s it from me today, I hope you all have an amazing weekend and see you all in world in the groups.

Goodbye Recovery, Hello Version 1.20!

Surprise! Its time to update those ponies again! We have been working on kinks and bugs, Since the ponies were released there have been some issues that were brought to our attention we have been working hard and we are ready to implement some fixes.

This update DOES NOT include new content! It is fixes ONLY!

***THIS IS AN ERROR FIX/CHANGE UPDATE ONLY***IMPORTANT NOTE***This is a MANDATORY UPDATE*** Please update your ponies before September 7th 2017 or they will no longer have viable baskets***

This means you must update your ponies to version 1.20 or you wont be able to breed any new baskets. You have 2 weeks to update all your ponies to version 1.20 the cut off date that your ponies must be updated is September 7th, 2017. Any bad baskets from version 1.10 or 1.0 will not be replaced after September 7th, 2017

**DO NOT UPDATE A SLEEPING PONIE THAT IS IN RECOVERY, IT WILL WAKE IT UP, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL IT WAKES TO UPDATE IT**

If your ponies are in recovery and sleeping don’t make your ponie mad at you let it wake up then update it! We dont want any grouchy ponies!

Fixes:

1. Breeding: owner, group, all

2. Listeners error

3. Hold/Walk issues

Changes:

1. Added Ponie Oasis to baskets

2. Added instructions hover to birthed baskets

3. Added single updater

There are a few things you need to remember when updating!
1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one.

2. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater.

Single Updater: Place the updater near the ponie that isn’t updated and click the ponie and click the update button. The ponie will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process. ***DO NOT PICK UP PONIES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

Bulk Updater: Place the bulk updater in the middle of your ponie breeding area, **click the updater and adjust the settings you want your ponies to be set to after the update process**, then click the update ponie’s button on the updater menu. This updater has the ability to update all of your ponies in an entire region. However, depending on sim performance it may only do the ponies in a 96 meter radius. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all ponies and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED. ***DO NOT PICK UP PONIES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

**IF THE BULK UPDATER DOESN’T UPDATE ALL YOUR PONIES, RE-REZ THE PONIE AND TRY IT AGAIN**

I know updating a large herd of ponies can be frustrating or even overwhelming remember your bulk updater. If you have any issues updating please file a ticket and we will have a staff member assist you! Happy updating everyone! This is Ava over and out!!

Ponie Oasis!!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I wanted to take a moment to cover Ponie Oasis with you all! As most of you know, Amaretto Ranch Breedables offers a unique point system for ponies that you no longer wish to keep. Basically all your Ponie Pals have a point value in Ponie Oasis. You have to confirm to send a Ponie to Oasis, therefore it cannot be reversed. So make very sure this is something you really want to do. Even if it’s done by mistake it cannot be undone. So please be careful!

The Ponie Oasis Ponie Points Reward system will Reward you for your Ponies in the following way:
Starter Style = 100 Ponie Points
Hidden Style = 200 Ponie Points
Starter Eye = 100 Ponie Points
Hidden Eye = 200 Ponie Points
Starter Mane = 100 Ponie Points
Hidden Mane = 200 Ponie Points
Starter Tail = 100 Ponie Points
Hidden Tail = 200 Ponie Points
Every Generation lost = 100 Ponie Points

All of our Amaretto Ponie Pals Stores have Ponie Oasis vendors located in them. You can check how many points you have by clicking on the red Balance Inquiry button on the bottom right hand corner of the vendor board and it will display something in local that looks like this

[13:31] Ponie Oasis Vendor 1.0: You have 600 Ponie Points available

Here we have the costs in Ponie Points for the items currently available from the vendor:
Amaretto Ponie Pals Ponie Noodle Soup 10,000 Ponie Points

I hope this helps you all better understand the Ponie Oasis! Happy Ponie breeding!

Until next time……

Blancos and Mutts oh my!

Hey everyone what a Manic Monday!

Today I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about Blanco and Mutt K9s!!
What is a blanco?Well Blanco’s are K-9s that come from breeding two K-9s of the same color coats together. For example, breeding two Tan Tri-Color Beagles together could produce a Blanco Beagle.

Whats a Mutt?
Mutts are what you have a chance of getting when you breed two FULL siblings together. In order to be FULL Siblings both K-9s must have the same mother and father. Now even though the Mutt coat DOES NOT have the ability to be passed on, the Mutt eyes DO have the ability to be passed on.

You can read more and see pics of the Blacons and Mutts by visiting our
wiki page at this link http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=K-9_Coats

I love all these K-9s and the special stuff they have! Until next time this is Ava over and out!
