Halloween Superstition

Today we will take a look back at the 2018 Edition Ponie Pals!! This was a set of four ponie pals (they did also come out for the Horses, K-9s and Ducks but we will focus on Ponie Pals today).

Breeding these with any other ponies would get you a special surprise so why not try today. 🙂

Happy Halloween!!!

LET’S TALK ABOUT MULES!!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Today I want to shine the spotlight on the awesome Amaretto mules! So do you want to know more about these adorable animals & how you can get one?

Amaretto Breedables is known for being able to keep secrets and loving surprises!

In the spirit of this sometimes very special things happen when you breed two particular horses together. Such is the case with the Ash Grey Mule, Brass Mule and Sienna Mule.

By breeding any of the Haven Donkeys with any Amaretto Horse other than another Haven Donkey there is an opportunity to receive one of these special Mules.

Mules do NOT have the ability to pass their coats.

On May 1, 2013 Amaretto released the Limited Edition Cinco de Mayo Donkeys. By breeding these Limited Edition Donkey’s with any other horse (Shetland, Clydesdale, Fell Pony are included) there was an opportunity to receive a Black Mule. The Black Mule gets its eye from the parents and does NOT pass its coat.

On May 1, 2017 Amaretto released 2017 Cinco De Mayo – El Primer Caballero. By breeding 2017 Cinco De Mayo – El Primer Caballer with any other horse (Shetland, Clydesdale, Fell Pony are included) there was an opportunity to receive a White Mule. The White Mule gets its eye from the parents and does NOT pass its coat.

By breeding any of the Haven Donkeys with any Amaretto Horse other than another Haven Donkey there is an opportunity to receive one of these special Mules.

For a closer look at any of these check them out on the wiki at https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Mules

Until next time this is Snookie hoping you have an amazing weekend and an even better week ahead!

HAPPY BREEDING!!

Horny Horses?

We all know in real life horses do not have horns….or do they? Unicorn stories have been around for centuries, horses with a single horn on their head, mythical creatures that only appeared by magic. The unicorn appeared in early Mesopotamian artworks, and it also was referred to in the ancient myths of India and China. In heraldry, a unicorn is often depicted as a horse with a goat’s cloven hooves and beard, a lion’s tail, and a slender, spiral horn on its forehead. Many tapestries were created depicting unicorns being subdued by a fair maiden, or hunted by men and dogs. People believed a simple touch of a unicorn’ horn could neutralize poisons and removes evil influence. As for the real world, in early 1985, Ringling Brothers Circus promoted and toured with a “living unicorn” named Lancelot. Although actually a cross-bred goat with surgically altered horn buds that grew together, technically Lancelot was a unicorn, an animal with one horn.

On April 27, 2019 Amaretto gave us their own particular twist on a unicorn with the 6.01 update and the Steer Horn. Thats right, TWO horns on horses. These exciting new horns were hidden in new starters. The Steer Horns are one of many exciting possible Non-Starter traits that could come from breeding the 6.01 “Starter Horses”.

On July 12, 2019 Amaretto held the Amaretto Country Fair and and unveiled the fifth Horse in the line of Seven Heavenly Virtues and Seven Deadly Sins Horses! Hiding in these OOAK was the Indolence and Intensity Horns!

On October 17th until November 2nd 2020 Halloween Enchanter Animals! These horses were hiding Bloody Coal, Bloody Bone, and Bloody Ivory steer horns!

All these Steer Horn CAN be passed on, and can be combined with many other traits to make special horses.

Amaretto also decided to share these great Steer Horns with the Ponie Pals. On May 25, 2020 they released Version 2.0, and hidden in the 2.0 update was the Steer Horn trait for Ponie Pals

The Steer Horn trait came from breeding “Starter Style” together or one starter with any other Ponie.

Again, these Steer Horns CAN be passed onto make some adorable double horned Ponies.

Ticket Tips!

We made it all the way to Thursday! I thought I would share some ticket tips!

When Amaretto asks you to send a folder with your broken breedable inside its very important to make a folder, with your name and your ticket ID! Doing this will ensure a speedy return of your breedable.

Why do we need folders?
The reason we ask for a folder with your name and ticket number on it is because it’s easier to sort and look for a folder than it is to find an object or a horse/K-9/bundle/kennel and a notecard and it helps us help you faster and more efficiently!

Now the fun part ideally we want all folders to have 2 parts to their name like so (Your SL name (no display names please) – Your Amaretto Ticket Number (i.e JJC-xxx-xxxxx)) this will help us find your folder quicker and be able to quickly find your ticket number please be sure that your ticket number follows this format: JJC-xxx-xxxxx the easiest way is to copy and paste the ticket ID from the ticket system.

How did I create a folder?
Now creating a folder is easy all you do is right click (or command click if your using a mac) in either the My Inventory folder or another folder (like the Objects folder) and click New Folder then under the folder you clicked on a New Folder will be created and ready to rename to whatever you want to name it. Once you are done changing the name it will fall in order with the other folders and be ready to add your inventory to it. After you have placed the horses/K-9s/bundles/kennels and any additional information you can add for the ticket pull our name up in search and drag the folder over to us and we will get it (even if we are offline!) and we will respond in your ticket if more information is needed or if no info is needed you will have your fixed breedable sent back in the folder described at the end of this blog

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
A few things you need to do after filing a ticket.

  1. You do NOT need to send a note card or an instant message to the CSR.
  2. You DO need to reply to your ticket.
  3. You DO need to reply in the original ticket.
  4. If you do instant message a CSR have your ticket ID on hand, we talk to so many people when you randomly message we have no idea who you are. It may be awhile before we notice your IM, as we are working on fixing your breedables
  5. Do NOT file duplicate tickets for the same issue. How do I reply in the original ticket?
After you have logged in find the button on the top menu bar that says View Tickets. Once you are in this view you will see your ticket list. To view your ticket and make a reply click on the title of the ticket above the status bar for it. Once in the ticket you can post a reply in the upper right hand corner with the post reply button. Be sure to reopen the ticket or your response will not be seen Please be proactive. Read every Customer Connection (that’s what we call these blogs). Know what’s going on so when you do file a ticket it’s not something that has already been addressed. IF A CSR REPLIES TO YOUR TICKET, AND YOU DO NOT RESPOND IN 3 DAYS THE TICKET WILL BE CLOSED

Now when we send you back your fixed horses/bundles/K-9s/kennels you will get a folder like this ( in this case when i send the folder mine looks like this: Amaretto Breedable(s) from Avalon Crystal – REPAIRED) all folders from the CSR’s follow the same naming scheme Amaretto Horses/Bundles from CSR NAME -Repaired this way when you get the folder back you can use the inventory search feature to find the folder easily and be able to enjoy your fixed breedable!

Remember all these things when you are sending or receiving fixed breedables from support! This is Ava over and out!

Fell Ponies

What is a Fell Pony and where did they come from? The Fell Pony is a versatile, working breed of mountain and moorland pony originating in the north of England in Cumberland and Westmorland farms of northwest England, and is used as a riding and driving pony. The breed is closely related to its geographic neighbour, the Dales Pony, but is a little smaller and more pony-like in build.
The Fell Pony is noted for hardiness, agility, strength, and sure-footedness. Fell Ponies vary a good deal in weight and size, so ponies may be found to carry almost any rider. The average height of the breed is 13.2 hands (54 inches, 142 cm), and the upper height limit for the breed is 14 hands (56 inches, 142 cm). The breed was bred for the unforgiving mountainous environment of Cumbria in north-west England, so they are adaptable to almost any temperate climate.
The colours accepted in the breed are black, brown, bay, grey, and chestnuts (if both parents are registered). Piebalds, and skewbalds are not allowed. A star on the head and/or a small amount of white on or below the hind fetlock is acceptable. However, excess white markings are discouraged. Here we see examples of some of the color variations.

The Fell Pony was originally used as a packhorse, carrying slate and lead, copper, and iron ores. They were also used for light agriculture and the transportation of bulky farm goods such as wool. With their sturdy bodies, strong legs, and equable disposition, and being good, fast walkers, they would travel up to 240 mi (390 km) a week. They were favoured by the Vikings as packhorses, as well as for ploughing, riding, and pulling sledges.

In October of 2011, one of the new coats to come out of the 3.1 update was the Fell Pony. The Solid Midnight Tan Fell Pony, Solid Dark Brown Fell Pony, Solid Dark Red Fell Pony, Solid Dark Grey Fell Pony, Solid Silver Fell Pony and Solid Black Fell Pony were one set of many exciting possible Non-Starter coats that could come from breeding “Starter Horses”.

Also in October Amaretto introduced the Charmed Molten Fell Pony, with the Red Lava eye. Charmed Horses are NOT able to pass their coats or eyes. However, you could get extremely lucky and birth another Charmed Horse.

June of 2012 came the Blue Heat Molten Fell with Abyss Eye. It sold at the Auction For a Cure for a record breaking 2.6 million linden! The Amaretto community is amazing! The coat and eye on this beautiful horse CAN pass.

Since then Amaretto has added the White Fell and the Blue Fell Ponies.

You can read up on all these Fell Ponies and the many uses Amaretto has put them to for great coats here.

Amaretto Gargoyles!

Hello! How is everyone! Lets talk about Gargoyles!

Gargoyles are decorative waterspouts found primarily in Medieval Christian architecture. Gargoyles can be carvings of humans or animals, but most famously, gargoyles can also be in the form of monstrous creatures.

In modern fantasy, gargoyles are imagined as ferocious monsters that have stony skin or that turn to stone during the day.

Despite their frightening appearance, Gargoyles are guardians who are known to protect buildings from evil spirits, and do no harm to humans. Due to this, churches, which were considered holy places, often had these creatures on the roof to ward off the devil and demons. They are also suitable as guardians, as they have a high defense from their stony skin making them difficult to wound.

Now lets see Amarettos take! I am so excited to announce the 2021 Halloween Edition – Stone Gargoyle!

Starting today 10/20/2021 until 11/3/2021 available at all Amaretto locations are the 2021 Halloween Edition – Stone Gargoyle!
