Horse Starter Coats

So since I am new to doing the Connection, I figured I would start where I did when I began breeding Horses, with the Horse Starter Coats.

So lets jump right in, with the original starter coats that were released September 1st, 2010. These were the Appaloosa, Bay, Palomino, and my personal favorite the Painted.

These coats came out in four colors each and took over much of SL.

Soon other starter coats would follow known as Buckskin, Dunn, Icelandic, Mecklenburger, Spotted Rocky Mountain, Amaretto Saddlebred, Lipizzan, and the Lusitano.

Over time some horses go out to pasture and we can only find them through other members of the community. I dropped the links to the Wiki for you, so you can see their beautiful coats and learn more about them.

Thank you for sharing your time with me and Hope to share more memories of the past and future with all of you!

Why isn’t my horse happy?

Ava why isn’t my horse gaining fervor?? I get this question at least once a day! So i wanted to go over a few reason why this may not be happening!

why

The number one culprit is that your horse is not at least 75% happy! If a horses happiness is under 75% it will not gain fervor.
So why might your horse not be over 75% happy?? Lets go through the check list.

Is there a salt lick out?
Is the salt lick a old salt lick?
Is the salt lick set to the proper group?
Is the horse within range of the salt lick?
Is the horse over 7 days old?
Are scripts turned on?
Is the horse asleep?
Is the horse latest version?
Does the horse say eaten pet food?

These are all the question I ask my self when someone says the horse is not over 75% happiness. If after checking all those things off the list you have some options. You can ride the horse to see if their happiness will rise, you can give it Sugar Cubes this will increase one of your horses happiness by 15%, or give your horse a cocktail this will increase energy, happiness and fervor by 5% and decrease hunger and thirst by 5%.

After all checks and trying these options your horse will still not get over 75% happiness its time to file a ticket and let the pros take a look and see if they can find the issue. A CSR may ask for a slurl to your horse in world so we can come check your settings
How do you get a slurl?
1. Go to where your horses are in world.
2. Open the world map.
3. Click the Copy SLurl button.
4. Use control+v to paste the SLurl in your ticket!
You can file a ticket here:

Its important to know all of these trouble shooting tips if not for you then maybe your breeder friends or someone in the group! Well this is Ava over and out happy breeding everyone!

Appreciation Eyes!

On March 1, 2014, Amaretto horses started dropping a new random eye, the Appreciation Eyes. Over the next twelve months a new eye would drop each month to show our appreciation for a field of work. They ranged from Medical and Dental appreciation to Stay at Home Mom appreciation.

Although, they have not officially been used for any Amaretto projects since they dropped, you never know if they will be someday but for now they are an amazing touch to your special projects to show your love and appreciation for your loved ones profession.

Why not add some of these magnificent eyes into collection today and see what amazing horses you can create.

Here are the eyes with the dates that they initially dropped.

Hope everyone is having a great week-end! Get out there and breed some amazing Horses!

Happy Breeding!

Day of the Dog

Hey, we missed it! Yesterday was National Dog Day! I saw lots of people posting pictures of their favorite dogs on the internet, some in cute poses, some sleeping, or playing. And of course I had to post a picture of one of my chihuahuas.

In fact, Chihuahuas were my first Amaretto dogs, so cute with their perky ears and happy faces. When Chihuahuas came out in 2012 I just HAD to have them, especially since two of the coats looked like my real dogs, the Tri-Color Chihuahua and the Fawn.

Amaretto K-9s are like the horses in breeding, they mature at age 7, must be at least 75% happy, take a few days to gain heat, 3 days to be pregnant, then 4 days to recover. Most breeders use one male for 4 females, sometimes 5. They do breed til they are 126, which is longer than the horses. Like the Amaretto Horse Hud, the K-9 Hud can only be used for one dog at a time, but you can use it to play fetch or walk your dog, which helps raise happiness.

At one time AMOC used to hold dog agility courses, using the hud to walk the dogs thru an obstacle course. Almost as much fun as in real life, with just as much laughs. I even built my own to practice on. Maybe one day we can do that again.

With all the dog breeds in Amaretto, chances are there is one for you. From Beagles and Boxers, to Wolves and Yorkies, and all the breeds in between it gives us many choices. If you don’t see one you would like to have, you can always turn in a suggestion at the Amaretto mailbox. Maybe someday they will have YOUR favorite breed.

Smarter Breeding!

Hey guys it’s a great day here at the ranch!, I hope everyones week is going great! I wanted to take some time out to talk to you guys about something that i think maybe some breeders might not know.

I am often asked is there a trick or a secret to breeding what you want? I always tell everyone there is no trick or secret but there is something I like to call smart breeding!

If you been to one of my auctions before you have heard the term I use called smart breeding.
Let me break it down for you just incase you don’t know what I am talking about.

Smart breeding is what you do to increase your chances at getting something special. Still don’t get it?

Well let me give you an example:
I have 5 horse breeding together 1 male horse and 4 females horses these horses are all siblings, so that means i could get an albino.

These horses all have a dazzle eye so I could possibly get a Dazzle horse as well!

See its a 2 chances in 1 breeding! Smart Breeding!

You could even make it a triple threat for example one of these siblings is a Shetland, so now we could get a Shetland Albino, reg Albino, or a Dazzle Horse!

There are many different combinations that you can use to smart breed:

Galaxy Eyes
Element Eyes
Dazzle Eyes
Confection Eyes
Reptile Eyes
Gem Crown Horns

I have even see some people have up to 5x at special drops from the same sibling set so get Smart!! So take a look at your herd and see where you may be able to implement a smart breeding plan! This is Ava over and out! Happy breeding everyone!

Ponie Gem Crowns!

Hope everyone is having a great day so far. Today we will take a brief look at those adorable Ponie Gem Crowns. Although you cannot breed them for a special coat like you can with the Horses yet, you never know what the future could bring.

From the 2020 Gacha Ponies came the first Gem Crowns. From those you could get the following:

The Frostbitten came from the Common Gacha, the Beachy came from the Rare Gacha and the Neon Twilight came from the Ultra Rare Gacha.

Then on June 10, 2020, Amaretto released the 2020 Celestial Crystal Edition Ponies which gave two new Gem Crowns:

On July 12, 2021, Amaretto held their OOAK auction and they had a few Ponie traits, one of those was a new Crown Gem Onyx. Sorry about the image, this is from the connection to highlight just the Ponie in the image.

I’m sure we will all see more of this little one soon enough. 🙂

Have a great week-end!!!
