My Own Trait

On July 12, 2019, Amaretto held the Amaretto Country Fair; and unveiled the fifth horse in the line of Seven Heavenly Virtues and Seven Deadly Sins Horses. The OOAKS were the stars of the auction. But there was more. Amaretto also offered an opportunity to any breeder present there to bid for “design your custom trait” both for horses, k-9s, and birds. There is where my adventure begins, and I want to share this unique experience with all of you.

My first try was bidding to design a horse coat. Soon the price escalated, and it became a ferocious duel reaching my budget limit. Then it started a magical moment I couldn’t believe. Fellow breeders messaging me and offering their help so I could keep the fight! I’ll never forget any of those dear friends. Still, I lost it, so now my batteries turned to the wing auction. I had to challenge the very same adversary, but now with smaller firepower. So, I became the owner of my future exclusive creator’s designer wing.

Then Ava contacted me to start the creative conception of the wing, and the first surprise, I could choose the eagle wing design, released at the same Country Fair. In other words, it would be the first eagle wing not coming from an OOAK in the horses’ market! Ava intermediated a few interviews between Amamretto’s designers and me till we finally came to an optimal result.

Ava also explained a new horse trait must have a starter coat and a set of starter eyes, and I could pick any I wanted. The second surprise was the Heart Element eye was a starter eye set, so my stud could come with two heat traits!
I received my original horse in a few days, a seven-year-old stud. It was the “All you need is love” wing, and most of you breeders know the rest of my story.

PEACH BUZZ ~ALBINO~

Trendsetting news!! Today’s topic is ALBINOS!!!

Did you know that there are 8 different albinos you can try and get? How can you get them you ask? Its simple just breed siblings together for a chance at dropping an albino. These prized beauties are a coveted lot. Many Amaretto breeders try to get all 8 of them! How many different albinos do you have? In the last update, we were wowed and surprised at the newest albino, the mini albino. Each Albino comes with a special albino eye. The eyes do pass but the albino coat does not. However, if you breed an albino to its sibling you have a slightly elevated chance of dropping another albino! How cool is that? I have heard breeders comment several times at our community meetings asking if we could have a special breeding project with our prized albinos. Our answer is with a grin from the lovely Ava “you never know.” So, get out those sib sets and breed for those albinos…….because you never know!

This is Maggie Mae with the Peach Buzz reporting on the latest trends in Amaretto!

WORLD PIANO DAY

World Piano Day is celebrated on the 88th day of the year, which is the same as the number of keys on the piano. This year, it takes place on March 29. World Piano Day was founded by a group of like-minded people who aimed to create a platform for piano-related projects to promote the development of music and to share the joy of playing the piano.

Why do we need a World Piano Day? “For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers, and most importantly, the listener,” replied Nils Frahm, the German pianist, and composer who initiated World Piano Day in 2015. The idea behind it was to celebrate the piano across the world by holding events, performances, masterclasses, lectures, e.t.c. Since its launch, World Piano Day has gained immense popularity, with participation from pianists, promotors, organizers, distributors, technicians, piano enthusiasts, and basically anyone associated with the instrument.

Hammered dulcimers were the very first string instrument used since the Middle Ages in Europe. After several attempts of creating stringed keyboard instruments, the mechanisms of the clavichord and the harpsichord were developed during the 17th century.

As the Mozart-era piano underwent changes from 1790 to 1860, the modern structure of the instrument came into existence. These alterations were a result of the preferences of composers and pianists who wanted more powerful and sustained sounds. Over time, the tonal range of the piano was also increased from the five to the seven octaves that can be found in the modern-day piano.

World Piano Day is a celebration of the piano and everything connected with it. This day celebrates the music of the past and promotes its evolution. So, on this 88th day of the year, we come together to celebrate one of the greatest instruments of all time and all those who make this day possible.

BANANAS FOR BANDANNAS

How bandanas came to be
The bandana has a rich and varied history as a popular accessory spanning many eras. The word ‘bandana’ is thought to originate from the Hindi word bāṅdhnū, which means ‘to tie.’ The bandana itself, as an object, is said to have roots in South Asia and the Middle East. The paisley pattern of classic bandanas originated in Persia. Nowadays, this square of colorful cloth has a patchwork of meanings and associations attached to it.

2019 OOAK Bumblebee Ponie

So celebrate spring with these amazing Sparks traits.

What Is a Marwari?

The Marwari is a rare horse breed from the Marwar (or Jodhpur) region of India. Known for its inward-turning ear tips, it comes in all equine colours, although piebald and skewbald patterns tend to be the most popular with buyers and breeders. It is known for its hardiness, and is quite similar to the Kathiawari, another Indian breed from the Kathiawar region southwest of Marwar. Many breed members exhibit a natural ambling gait. The Marwari horses are descended from native Indian ponies crossed with Arabian horses, possibly with some Mongolian influence.

The facial profile is straight or slightly Roman, and the ears are medium-sized and curving inward so that the tips meet; also, the Marwari horse can rotate its ears 180º. The inward tilted ear tips make them quite unique.

The Marwari is used for light draught and agricultural work, as well as riding and packing. In 1995, a breed society was formed for the Marwari horse in India. The exportation of Marwari horses was banned for decades, but between 2000 and 2006, a small number of exports were allowed. Since 2008, visas allowing temporary travel of Marwari horses outside India have been available in small numbers. Though they are rare they are becoming more popular outside of India due to their unique looks.

When the version 6.01 Horse update came out on Apr.27, 2019 these exciting new coats were hidden in new starters. The Marwari are one set of many exciting possible Non-Starter coats that can come from breeding “Starter Horses”.
You can have a chance at one of these exciting Non-Starter coated Marwari by breeding any horse with a starter horse or by breeding together two starter horses.
These coats CAN be passed on.

Which one is YOUR favorite color? Happy Breeding!

This is Roseanna Anna Danna Bandanna reporting live for the Peach Buzz!

Breaking News!!!! I am out here interviewing breeders who swear they have seen ponies wearing bandannas! Now I ask myself, Roseanna Anna Danna Bandanna if I have ever seen such a thing! Obviously, the answer is no! I mean why would little tiny cutesy wootsy ponies be wearing these bandannas? What in the wild west is going on? Do we have itsy bitsy tiny ponie outlaws? do they neigh “this is a stick up” and if they do, do we take them seriously? (snorts)

Wait . Wait we now have a live feed of a picture of these Bandanna Ponies!

Here are some facts I Roseanna Anna Danna Bandanna have gathered from the Amaretto creators:

On May 25, 2020, Amaretto released Version 2.0, hidden in the 2.0 update was the Bandanna trait!

On April 14th, 2020 Amaretto released all-new 2020 Cyberpunk Editions Ponies, hidden in these Ponies was the Cyberpunk Bandanna!

Please note that these Bandanna traits CAN be passed on.

Well, one thing is for sure they are the cutest dang things I have ever seen! I might just have to get me one and have it follow me around. I hope I see one soon……

World Water Day

World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, focuses on the importance of freshwater.

World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis. A core focus of World Water Day is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.

Groundwater, making the invisible visible

This 2022, the focus is groundwater, an invisible resource with an impact visible everywhere.

Groundwater is water found underground in aquifers, which are geological formations of rocks, sands and gravels that hold substantial quantities of water. Groundwater feeds springs, rivers, lakes and wetlands, and seeps into oceans. Groundwater is recharged mainly from rain and snowfall infiltrating the ground. Groundwater can be extracted to the surface by pumps and wells.

Life would not be possible without groundwater. Most arid areas of the world depend entirely on groundwater. Groundwater supplies a large proportion of the water we use for drinking, sanitation, food production and industrial processes.

It is also critically important to the healthy functioning of ecosystems, such as wetlands and rivers.

We must protect them from overexploitation – abstracting more water than is recharged by rain and snow – and the pollution that currently haunts them, since it can lead to the depletion of this resource, extra-costs of processing it, and sometimes even preventing its use.

Exploring, protecting and sustainably using groundwater will be central to surviving and adapting to climate change and meeting the needs of a growing population.

The idea for this international day goes back to 1992, the year in which the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro took place. That same year, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution by which 22 March of each year was declared World Day for Water, to be observed starting in 1993.

On June 10, 2011 Amaretto held our first Amaretto Social Gala to celebrate the unveiling of our new website the Amaretto Social Network as well as the addition of the Elemental Horses. There were concerts, live singers, fireworks and 5 very special horses were given away as prizes! These 5 Elemental Gala Edition Horses were given away at random during the Social Gala and are the only ones on the grid that have particles effects!

Elemental Gala Horses can NOT pass their coat or the particle effects.

However breeding an Elemental Gala Horse with another Elemental Horse or with any other horse with  Element eyes you will slightly increase your chance for another Elemental Horse.

The 5 Elemental Gala Horses given away as prizes at the Amaretto Social Gala are ONE OF A KIND!

The Elemental Horses that you will be able to breed for will NOT have the particle option that the ones given away have. This makes these 5 Elemental Horses the ONLY Horses of this kind on the grid! Congratulations to the Winners of these special horses.
