Mules!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!

Today I want to shine the spotlight on the awesome Amaretto mules! So want to know more about these adorable animals & how you can get one?

Amaretto Breedables is known for being able to keep secrets and loving surprises!

In the spirit of this sometimes very special things happen when you breed two particular horses together. Such is the case with the Ash Grey Mule, Brass Mule and Sienna Mule.

By breeding any of the Haven Donkeys with any Amaretto Horse other than another Haven Donkey there is an opportunity to receive one of these special Mules.

Mules do NOT have the ability to pass their coats.

On May 1, 2013 Amaretto released the Limited Edition Cinco de Mayo Donkeys. By breeding these Limited Edition Donkey’s with any other horse (Shetland, Clydesdale, Fell Pony are included) there was an opportunity to receive a Black Mule. The Black Mule gets its eye from the parents and does NOT pass its coat.

On May 1, 2017 Amaretto released 2017 Cinco De Mayo – El Primer Caballero. By breeding 2017 Cinco De Mayo – El Primer Caballer with any other horse (Shetland, Clydesdale, Fell Pony are included) there was an opportunity to receive a White Mule. The White Mule gets its eye from the parents and does NOT pass its coat.

By breeding any of the Haven Donkeys with any Amaretto Horse other than another Haven Donkey there is an opportunity to receive one of these special Mules.

Mules do not have the ability to pass their coats.

For a closer look at any of these check them out on the wiki at https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Mules

So go ahead and get your donkey today and see if you can get one of these magical surprises!!

Until next time this is Snookie hoping you have an amazing weekend and an even better week ahead!

HAPPY BREEDING!!

Pretty Palominos

Waaaay back in the dawn of time when Amaretto started, they had starter coats called Palominos. They were primitive horses, who could barely use tools, and had no knowledge of traits or racing free on the range. They were the creme, the golden, the silver and the shy tan.

In the United States, some palomino horses are classified as a color breed. However, unlike the Appaloosa or the Friesian, which are distinct breeds that also happen to have a unique color preference, Palomino color breed registries often accept a wide range of breed or type if the animals are properly golden-colored. The Palomino cannot be a true horse breed, however, because palomino color is an incomplete dominant gene and does not breed “true”. A palomino crossed with a palomino may result in a palomino about 50% of the time, but could also produce a chestnut (25% probability) or a cremello (25% probability). Thus, palomino is simply a partially expressed color allele and not a set of characteristics that make up a “breed.” Sounds a bit like Amaretto breeding, with a “hidden” coat.

Due to their distinct color, palominos stand out in a show ring, and are much sought after as parade horses. They were particularly popular in movies and television during the 1940s and 1950s. One of the most famous palomino horses was Trigger, known as “the smartest horse in movies”, the faithful mount of the Hollywood cowboy star Roy Rogers. Another famous palomino was Mister Ed (real name Bamboo Harvester) who starred on his own TV show in the 1960s. A palomino was also featured in the show Xena: Warrior Princess (1995–2001). Xena’s horse Argo was portrayed by a palomino mare. Argo was mainly performed by Tilly.

Meanwhile, back in Amarettoland, Palominos eventually acquired traits but still worried about their looks. One day the 2.0 update appeared as if by magic, and Lo! they changed their appearance. Their legs became slender and graceful, and their colors became truer.

Today the palomino coat is retired after a long life of hard work and breeding. Luckily for breeders, they can still be bred from existing lines and have been used to create some interesting horses, like the Twist horse, the Pintomino which came from breeding any color Pinto to any color Palomino.

My personal favorite color of Palomino is the gold, which always reminds me of Roy Rogers and Trigger. I like to try and duplicate him by adding coat and hair gleam to the gold Palomino coat, with long/long traits.

What is YOUR favorite Palomino?

Get a grip with Reins!

Woooo hoooooooooo! We made all the way to Thursday that means FRIYAY is right around the corner!!

I have been working on updating the Wiki pages, it is a WIP but I hope that you guys will find all the traits you are looking for and the information on how to get them. Looking over some of the things I have been adding I thought I would spotlight a few of my favorites,

Did you know on June 11, 2019, Amaretto celebrated Fathers day with Fathers Day Edition animals that you could purchase until June 25, 2019. There was the a chance that you could get a new trait from any breeding of these 2019 Fathers Day Edition! This trait was Reins!

I really like Reins definitely one of my favorite traits! We currently have 5 different version of Reins:

Leather
Green
Gold
Blue
Orange

Something special about the Reins trait is that to have Reins you must have the matching bridle, there isnt any other Amaretto trait quite like this. You will never see a horse with Reins and no Bridle.

The Reins trait DOES have the ability to pass!

You can always see this trait on our wiki @:

I hope you guys like this one as much as me! Happy breeding everyone this is Ava over and out!
