Wishing you a Happy New Year!!

Well 2014 has been an awesome year, new traits, new coats, and lots of fun events! I’m sure this year will close with lots of memories of fun shared with new and old friends. At Amaretto we are always working on new ideas and plans and we are gearing up for another Great year in 2015.

I want to share this New Years Poem with all of you!

New Year’s Reflections

Looking back on the months gone by,
As a new year starts and an old one ends,
We contemplate what brought us joy,
And we think of our loved ones and our friends.

Recalling all the happy times,
Remembering how they enriched our lives,
We reflect upon who really counts,
As the fresh and bright new year arrives.

And when I/we ponder those who do,
I/we immediately think of you.

Thanks for being one of the reasons I’ll/We’ll have a Happy New Year!

By Joanna Fuchs

That poem really sums it all up!!

On this New Years Eve, have fun, be safe!!

Crazed Coats!?!

Going into our 5th year we wanted to celebrate another crazy year in SL with a special monthly coat from our beloved horses and k-9s. So we had our design team conjure up some awesome looking “Crazed Coats”. These Crazed Coats are similar to the Showhorse/Best in Show and Twist in that you breed two specific horses/K-9s together and get this new special coat. These coats do have the ability to pass as well as the super cute eye and the K-9s collar.

So what are the first Crazed Coats to come in the month of January? Well we have picked the Sorrel and the Husky! So from January 5th to February 5th 2015, if you breed ANY Sorrel coats together you have a chance at getting a Crazed Coat Sorrel!! For our K-9 enthusiasts, breed ANY Husky together and have a chance at getting a Crazed Coat Husky!! We want our new coats to be a surprise so we aren’t going to post any pictures until they arrive on the grid. This is just one of the many “special” things we have planned for our next crazy year!!

Have fun and crazy breeding!!

No Christmas Eve is ever complete without the poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
(or A Visit from St. Nicholas)
by Clement Clarke Moore

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads.
And Mama in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:

“Now Dasher! Now Dancer!
Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid!
On, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away!
Dash away all!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
so up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
with the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
the prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
and he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes–how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
that shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
and I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
and filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

Eve of Christmas Eve!

Eve of Christmas Eve is here!!!!

The elves in Santa’s workshop
Are busy as can be.
They all are working ’round the clock
On toys for you and me.
They’re painting dolly faces,
And running trains on tracks.

They’re testing all the snare drums,
And tightening the tacks.
While all of you are sleeping,
And resting in your beds,
The elves up north are making
Strong runners for your sleds.

They do their best to make up
A gift for everyone
And give us each a special taste
Of merry Christmas fun!

Santa Claus is big and fat
He wears black boots
And a bright red hat

His nose is red
Just like a rose
And he ho ho ho’s
From his head to his toes.

Hey guys do I have some big news for you!!!!

Christmas is for giving
And for showing that we care,
For honoring the Christ Child
With the loving gifts we share.

The wise men gave of riches;
The shepherds, faith and love.
Each gift, in its own measure,
Was smiled on from above.

Let every gift be treasured;
Not always size or price
Determines the extent of love
And willing sacrifice

Handsome gifts with festive trim
Bring smiles of sweet content,
But modest gifts of humble means
are ofttimes heaven sent.

Whether it be large or small,
Each gift will share in part
The message of true Christmas joy
If given from the heart!

How to Create a Folder

Happy Friday Everyone ! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day !
Well Christmas is almost here ! Hope you picked up your Holiday LE, SE an CE’s before the deadline December 31st !

Today I wanted to talk to you on how to create a folder to send your breedable in to the CSR when you have a ticket, Amaretto asks that you put your breedable in a folder with your name and ticket number.

Well lets create a folder:
Now creating a folder is easy all you do is right click (or command click if your using a mac) in either the My Inventory folder or another folder (like the Objects folder) and click New Folder then under the folder you clicked on a New Folder will be created and ready to rename to whatever you want to name it. Once you are done changing the name it will fall in order with the other folders and be ready to add your inventory to it. After you have placed the horses/K-9s/barnyard birds/bundles/kennels/nests and any additional information you can add for the ticket pull our name up in search and drag the folder over to us and we will get it (even if we are offline!) and we will respond in your ticket if more information is needed or if no info is needed you will have your fixed breedable sent back in the folder described at the end of this blog.

Also wanted to just mention when sending in breedables please to not pick them up in a cluster an put them in folder, This will cause problems as to having you to get LL to under cluster them for you.

This is important this helps the CSR to get your breedable back to you in a timely fashion .

Don’t for Amaretto Masquerade Ball today at 4:00 pm SLT !

Until next week Happy Breeding !
Merry Christmas to each an everyone of Amaretto Breeders
