Pug O’ My Heart

Once the mischievous companion of Chinese emperors, and later the mascot of Holland’s royal House of Orange, the small but solid Pug is today adored by his millions of fans around the world. Pugs live to love and to be loved in return.

The Pug, often called the Pug Dog, is an ancient breed that can be traced back some 2,000 years. The emperors of ancient China had a preference for flat-faced toy dogs—the Pekingese, Shih Tzu, and Pug were all developed as refined pets of the emperor, his family, and members of the imperial court. Like many breeds favored by Far Eastern potentates of the ancient world, Pugs were a closely held treasure that outsiders could acquire only as a gift.

The Pug’s career as citizen of the world began sometime in the 1500s, when Dutch traders returned to Europe with specimens of the breed. Legend holds that the Pug became the mascot of Holland’s royal House of Orange when a Pug save the life of the Prince of Orange by barking to warn the prince of an attack on his camp by Spanish troops. When William and Mary of Orange arrived in England to assume the monarchy, their Pugs accompanied them and began a craze for the breed among the British.

In August of 2011, Amaretto introduced K9s to the breeders. One of the exciting and adorable breeds you could get from breeding was the Pug! There are Solid Pugs

and Morrison Pugs with their cute black masks.

Since then they have used Pugs in various other breedings to make special coats, including Blanco Pugs, Best in Show, Crazed Coat Pug, and even a “420” Pug Special Edition. You can see all these amazing coats here.

Have fun breeding these wrinkly faced little cuties.

EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS

Hello everyone its another terrific Thursday! I wanted to take some time to talk to you guys about something that i have noticed a couple of you guys have filed tickets about.

You have found the perfect pair of your favorite amaretto animals birthed and feed and are ready to breed! Then your waiting the entire pregnancy if there is one and awaiting your prized off spring, its drops and you click on it and it says EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS and will not birth. No it doesn’t mean your OS is an orphan!

Oh NO!!! What did you do wrong? What happened? Well lets look at a couple reasons you may get a bundle with this text EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS.

The #1 reason why you will receive a bundle that says EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS is because your horses are not the latest current version. For you to get viable bundles you must be breeding the most current version which is currently 6.03 for horses.

If you relieve a kennel, nest or a basket that says BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS is because your k9, birds or ponies are not the latest current version. For you to get viable Kennels and baskets you you must be breeding the most current version which is currently Version 3.1 for K9s, Version 3.0 Birds , ducks 1.1 and Version 2.00 for Ponies

There could be 2 reason why you might receive a nest that says EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS the first one being the above mentioned if your birds are not Version 3.0 you will not get a viable nest. The 2nd reason why this may happen is if your birds cycles are not showing the correct amount or showing a negative cycle count.

So what do you do ? Well its simple all you have to update your breedable and breed them again if it is a Ponie or a bird updating it will give you the cycle or descendant back. If your Barnyard Bird has a negative cycle count and is the latest current version you will need to send in the rooster and the hen so that we can repair both of them and get you back on the breeding track! It doesn’t matter what animal you are breeding we will not be able to give you an viable offspring for your  EXPIRED_BREEDING or BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS Offspring!

Remember if ever in doubt just ask we are always here to help! Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Happy breeding everyone! This is Ava over and out!

Out to Pasture

Happy Hump Day Breeders!

We’ve all seen it mentioned, either on the wiki or in chat, about a certain trait being Out to Pasture. But, do you know what that really means? Hopefully, this Connection will clear up some confusion.

Out to Pasture, or Retired for K9s, referred to traits can no longer be gotten from new starter drops. To further clarify, I’ll use the horses as an example:

https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Horse_Coats

Starter Coats & Starter Traits
A Starter Coat or Trait that has been put Out to Pasture means you will never receive, from a Single*, Starter, Breeder, or Ranchers pack, a horse that contains this coat or trait. The only way to obtain a retired starter coat or trait is if a horse you are breeding has it somewhere in its lineage.

Non-Starter Coats & Non-Starter Traits
A Non-Starter Coat or Trait that has been put Out to Pasture means you will never receive, from a Single*, Starter, Breeder, or Ranchers pack, a horse that contains this coat or trait as a hidden coat or trait. The only way to obtain a retired non-starter coat or trait is if a horse you are breeding has it somewhere in its lineage.

*This includes Limited Edition Horses as they are considered starter horses.

Charmed Horses
When we put Charmed horses Out to Pasture it means there will never be another one of those charmed horses dropped on the grid. So there is no chance of getting the Charmed Pegacorn or the Charmed Demon, for example, any longer because they are Out to Pasture.

Albino Eyes
The Albino eyes originally come from Albino horses but can pass on to other horses. So when Albino eyes are put Out to Pasture it means that when an Albino is dropped on the grid it will never have any of the Out to Pasture eyes. The only way of obtaining these eyes is if a horse you are breeding has them somewhere in its lineage.

Retired or Out to Pasture traits for K-9s and Barnyard Birds apply similarly. Find those noted in their respective Wiki:
https://k9.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=K-9_Coats
https://bird.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Bird_Breeds

Of course, if you ever need further clarification, just jump in any of the Amaretto chat groups and ask. There are always moderators and fellow breeders there to help you out.

Until next time…HAPPY BREEDING!

Hot Diggity Dog!

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

When we think of Summer, hot dogs are one of the foods that automatically come to mind. A day at the amusement park or at a baseball stadium pairs nicely with a hot dog. Therefore, the entire month of July has been designated National Hot Dog Month! With, today, July 22nd, being the official National Hot Dog Day.

In these Dog Days of Summer, who doesn’t like a hot dog? Amaretto surely does, that’s why they created the Paradise Puppy Hot Dog!

Now serving this delicious little cutie at any Puppy Paradise Vendor for just 250,000 of your collected Kennel Cash!

The Paradise Puppy Hot Dog comes in random gender. And, although they are NOT able to pass their coats, the Ketchup & Mustard eye and Picnic Collar DOES have the ability to pass.

Plus, when you breed a Paradise Puppy (whether it is with another Paradise Puppy or any other K-9) you DO have an increased chance at receiving a random Enchanted K-9. Hot Diggity Dog!

Start collecting Kennel Cash today by sending your retired K-9s and unwanted Kennels to Puppy Paradise and you’ll be on your way to getting a Hot Dog of your very own!
