Let’s get Retro!!

On September 1st, 2020 Amaretto went Retro and jumped back to the 1980s for their birthday theme. The party featured a theater and video games and everyone came in their 80’s best with lots of Neon and huge hair. The day was all about being Retro. That includes the Birthday animals released that year.

2020 Happy 10th Birthday Amaretto

This coat did have the ability to pass, along with the eyes and the collars on the K-9s. So they are all out there waiting for your special projects. And at the party, one of each was given away as a OOAK which had special little poofers which only they could have.

2020 10th Anniversary OOAK Vaporwave

As Amaretto does with every Birthday, there is a new set of animals released with a set of OOAKs that go to random members of the community, but this year something special happened with these OOAK, they came with a mane, tail and wings that could only come from the OOAKs into the community. After that it became the goal of the community to put these OOAKs back together in their own herd. Many have taken up this challenge.

Vaporwave Horses

Now you probably wonder how you can get yourself a Vaporwave if you were not lucky enough to win one of the OOAK kinds above (although note that the coat does NOT pass). Well all you have to do is breed together any two Gem Crowns which you can read all about here. When you are lucky and breeding together those crowns here is what you might get.

Remember these coats do NOT pass but the eyes can.

So get out there today and Celebrate Retro Day in 80’s style and breed some Vaporwave traits into your herd today.

HAPPY BREEDING!!!

Bad Bundle?! What Do I Do?

What does this mean? “NEVER_RECEIVED_MOTHER_COMMUNICATION” And why am i getting this from my bundle/kennel/basket/nest? This can happen when there has been lag in SL at the moment the mother dropped. Don’t panic, Amaretto can fix this. When you file a ticket on a bundle, kennel, basket or nest showing this message, the CSR’s ask you to send in the parents information because the UUID is no good. They need it so they can look up and return to you the viable bundle that the mother did have. Please remember how important this is to know the parents of each drop.

Another message breeders get that can cause a panic is Duplicated Horse, please file a ticket with Amaretto. That red text over your horse needn’t be scary. Some of the things that can cause this are lag. sim restarts, rollbacks, crashes, and sometimes updating. If you find a breedable in your inventory and you know that you already have it out, you can right click on the item in inventory, look in the description field and compare the numbers from that with your breedables number. If you set it out and you already have it out, both copies will duplicate.
Also when SL does a sim Rollback, it takes the sim back to a previous state. If you have recently purchased a horse/k-9/bird from someone, and the sim where you purchased the breedable from has a rollback, it can create a duplicate issue., maybe even someone else has come along and also purchased the same breedable. This is why we ask for transaction history. If this happens you can contact the seller for refund. Please don’t just assume they are selling duplicates on purpose. Talk to the seller. Things can be worked through.
To file a ticket you need to go to the support site.
If you haven’t filed before you can register on that site, then log in and file. The name and UUID of the breedable are the best pieces of information that you can provide. If it was a purchase, you need to provide your transaction history. After you have filed a ticket, you will be asked by a CSR to send in all copies of the duplicated breedable in a FOLDER.. When sending folders to the CSR, make sure your name and ticket number is on the folder. If you have issues with multiple breedables you can put them all on one ticket. If a CSR needs more information, they will make a request for it in the ticket you filed. So when you reply to a request don’t send replies to tickets in IM or notecards, reply to your ticket on the ticket site itself.
Good luck and happy breeding!

PEACH BUZZ

Read it here first! All the latest BUZZ on your Amaretto Breedables. #trendsthatbuzz

The Akhal-Teke is a Turkmen horse breed. They have a reputation for speed and endurance, intelligence, and a distinctive metallic sheen. The shiny coat of the breed led to their nickname, “Golden Horses”. These horses are adapted to severe climatic conditions and are thought to be one of the oldest existing horse breeds.

In the Amaretto World, the Akhal-Teke was introduced with the 5.5 horse update that came out on October 7,2016. These coats were hidden in the new starters :
Akhal-Teke Russet
Akhal-Teke Fawn
Akhal-Teke Mocha
Akhal-Teke Ebony
Akhal-Teke Dove
Akhal-Teke Honey

Once again the Amaretto Team delighted and surprised their breeders by the incredible detail of these gorgeous coats. The Akhal-Teke soon became a favorite amongst the breeders and continues to inspire breeders to this day. These coats do have the ability to pass.

To conclude dear breeders, if you have a case of the blahs…. Break out your Akhal-Teke bundles and design your “Golden Horse” today! I mean who doesn’t want a boojee horse in their collection?

National Margarita Day – February 22, 2022

Every February 22, we come together for National Margarita Day to pay homage to our favorite celebratory cocktail. The margarita — triple sec, tequila, and lime juice — was created in 1938 in Mexico and is widely considered the official drink of having fun. It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere, and that’s never truer than on National Margarita Day. So get out a shaker, pull out your frozen margarita machine, or head to your local watering hole and order a margarita. Up, on ice, or on the rocks, you can’t go wrong.

The earliest occurrence of the famed cocktail was in 1938 by the father of the drink Carlos “Danny” Herrera. He made it in his restaurant located in Baja California, for a famous customer named Marjorie King, a dancer on the hit American theatrical broadway “Ziegfeld follies” because she was allergic to spirits but not tequila — and just like that our beloved drink was born.

The problem is, Herrera isn’t the only person to claim to be the OG margarita maker. One of them was Francisco “Pancho” Morales who was a bartender in Mexico, who first mixed the cocktail in 1942 in Juárez, Mexico and then left to become a US citizen and work as a milkman for 25 years. He has the backing of the official Mexican newspaper — Notimex.

The wildest story is this last one. Margarita Sames, a Dallas “higher class” citizen, believed she created the drink in her vacation home for her guests in Acapulco, Mexico in 1948. Tommy Hilton (yes… that Hilton) who was friends with Margarita attended the party, and then brought it back to his hotel chains and put it on the menu. But before he could even breath, Jose Cuervo, of the famous tequila brand, claimed he was already running ad campaigns for the drink in 1945, with the catchphrase, “Margarita: It’s more than a girl’s name.” Regardless of where the drink was first made, one thing is for certain — everyone was having fun.

Thankfully, margaritas come in a ton of different varieties, it’s not a surprise why 76% of Americans enjoy a nice margarita. From strawberry and peach to mango and berry, to slightly stronger drinks with beer, to even having healthier versions like skinny margaritas and sportier cocktails (just swap out the triple sec for a Gatorade). It doesn’t matter if you’re at a bar, at home on the sofa or just finished an important meeting; grab the nearest fruit, tequila, triple sec and mix that baby up to the rhythm of “one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor”. But do drink responsibly, too much tequila has been known T’kill’ya!

Beginning January 5th 2015 the Crazed Coats were introduced to the Amaretto Community. Each month you will have a chance at getting a Crazed by breeding together 2 horses that have the coat we announce.

From July 5, 2015 until August 5, 2015 you could breed any color Roan horses together for the chance of getting one of the Crazed Coat Roan. No other qualifications necessary, just has to be 2 Roans.

The Crazed Coat Roan DOES have the ability to pass.

The Love Wins! Eye DOES have the ability to pass.
