Hello again my fellow horse lovers! Today I’m going to cover the new traits that have come out with the 2.21 update!

These traits are in the same category as gloom. It can only have one of these traits per area, hair and coat. For example… If a horse has hair gloom, it can not have hair chill or hair warmth but it could have coat gloom, coat chill or coat warmth.

Consumable Salt Licks

This week I am going to talk about salt licks.

What are Salt licks for ?  Salts licks increase your horses happiness 1% over time.  Salt licks are used as a buffer to help with breeding. The horses don’t need it before they are of breeding age, so you may want to save the salt lick till then. The Salt Lick helps to increase the happiness of the horse. It only needs to be used when you are trying to increase the Fervor of the horse for breeding and do not have the time to ride them to increase their happiness.

How long does Salt  Licks last ? One Salt Lick last two horses two weeks . We do NOT recommend having out more than one Salt Lick the boosts will not stack.

Where do I put my Salt lick  ? Set your salt licks in range with horses near  food and water .

How do I setup my Salt licks ?  Click salt lick choose  either Owner Only ,Group Only, or All.
Owner Only – Horses that only the owner owns
Group Only – Horses within the same group
All – All  horses that are around  salt licks.

Remember when the salt licks are all consumed it  will disapprear  like POOF !

New Amaretto Info Group!!!

Hello Everyone Today I am bringing news of a new group for Amaretto

This group is for information only and is on invite only. This means you do have to message one of the members of staff in order to get invited to the group. If an Officer of the group does not respond please send a notecard to Avalon Crystal titled “Add me to the Group” and be sure to include your FULL SL name in the contents. The following is the group charter:

This group is by invite only and is only meant for informative purposes. That means no social chat, posting stats. As owner of this group I will exercise the right to eject anyone who advertises or uses this group for anything besides informative purposes. Breaking rules in this chat will get you kicked out of it so PLEASE follow all rules the charter states. This group has been made because there are some members who would like to see a group for information purposes only. Please do not abuse this or any other group of Amaretto. Yeah we survived another week! It was full of surprises, I hope you all enjoyed what you got this weekend! So I have some exciting news………Amaretto Breedables was nominated in two categories in the BOSL’S Awards.

For those not familiar with BOSL that is Best of Second Life.We at Amaretto are all really honored by this and wanted to give our community the chance to support us and vote!! Doing something like these BOSL Awards will give our community a chance to become more main stream and introduce breedables to people who don’t even know they exsist! (can you believe that people dont know about breedables? I cant LOL)

We are nominated for :

21. AVATAR OF THE YEAR- Josaphine Cooperstone – Amaretto Breedables  and

Can’t We All Just Get Along?!?

Hello Horse lovers!

I would like to start my blog out by saying that each and everyone of us here at Amaretto appreciate each and every loyal supporter out there. Amaretto would not be where it is today if it wasn’t for you. We at Amaretto try to do all things possible to make everyone happy and content with their horse raising and breeding experiences. Unfortunately, as everyone know, it is virtually impossible to do so. There is always going to be someone who we were unable to please or satisfy, and this does sadden us. We want Amaretto to be an enjoyable experience for all. As Amaretto grows… changes and fixes are inevitable, and for all of you who have stuck by us through the changes, we just want to say you are very respected and appreciated!

With that being said, Amaretto has pride in it’s company and will no longer allow our groups and forums to become a breeding ground for downing, trash talking, or plain out slandering of Amaretto, the individuals who work for Amaretto or Amaretto customers. Constructive criticism is ALWAYS accepted when offered with concern or care but, a line has to be drawn somewhere. If anyone is found in the groups, forums, or support system, trashing talking Amaretto as a company, the individuals that work for Amaretto, or Amaretto customers, it will not be tolerated. The person/persons found to be doing these such actions can and will get their rights to all groups, forums, and the ticket support system revoked, as we deem necessary to stop the issues. The Amaretto owners, developers, and Staff work long, hard hours to try and make this a memorable and fun time for all. Let’s please keep the groups and forums calm and peaceful. The groups and forums are meant to be an informative, enjoyable place for all to come. And please, keep the support system free from negativity and rude nonconstructive comments. Our support system is meant to help individuals with technical issues for the horses and bundles. It makes the CSR’s jobs harder and more time consuming having to shift through the negativity and find the tickets of customers that are truly needing help.

Basically, Amaretto wants horse breeding and raising to be an exciting and fun time. We know a lot of people have left or closed the groups and miss out on important information because of the constant turmoil in the groups and forums. We will be cracking down on the individuals responsible for the ruckus and will not be allowing Amaretto, Amaretto employees, or any other individuals to be belittled or talked down to. Again, the groups, forums, and support system are there to help our customers, to keep our customers informed of Amaretto news, and to allow customers and fellow breeders a place to come and share their positive experiences with the horses.

Thank you again for all who have supported Amaretto. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Staying Informed

There are a few options to stay informed about Amaretto issues or announcements.  This blog is a great source of information that you can refer back to at any time so I am going to use my blog this week to list out a few of the ways to stay informed and up-to-date.

  • The best and easiest way is to join the Amaretto Ranch Breedables group.  You can join the group by touching any of the group joiner boards at any Amaretto Store location.  Once you are a member of the group, go to group info and make sure the box is checked to allow you to receive Group Notices.  If you get capped on notices a lot you can always go to the notices tab at the top of the info box and look at past notices. As this group has grown larger and larger it can often times be very difficult to keep up with the chat in the chat tab, and asking questions can be hindered by chat lag, so when in doubt be sure to check those past notices.  **Remember** This group is for general this group is for info about the horses & K-9’s NO ADVERTISING OF ANY KIND (including freebies or giveaways)  and CONSTANT ARGUING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, that is not what this group is for.
  • Also located at all the Amaretto Store locations is a Hippo Group Joiner.  You can join the Hippo group and be informed of all major announcements without taking up a group slot.
  • The Main Amaretto Website located at http://amarettobreedables.com/ is where we put all the big announcements (which are also sent out in notices).

 

These are the 3 easiest way to stay up-to-date and informed about all things Amaretto.  Hope this helps everyone to stay informed.

Information Needed on Tickets

First and most important is your In World SL name. Without this we can’t send your horses or bundles back to you.

Second is the Horse’s UUID number. Here are the steps to finding that number.
1. Right click on the horse, and edit.
2. Click on General tab.
In the area called Description is a lot of numbers and letters.
3. Left click and highlight all of those numbers.
When you finish highlighting
4. Click Ctrl and C on your keyboard
Then you can paste onto a note card , or straight to your ticket. by clicking Ctrl and V on your keyboard
This number is very important and is needed for us to help you. The same can be repeated for bundles.

Third is Including your notecard with info in your folder. Do Not send us just a note card without it being in a folder.

How to make a Folder

1 Left click on Create at the top of your inventory page

2 Left click on New Folder, a New Folder will appear in your inventory

3 Rename the folder with your Full SL name and ticket number on the folder, because if you send items in a folder with no name and ticket number, we have no way of knowing who sent them.

We treat all support tickets as individual cases. So what one person has done for their issue may not happen with your issue. This is why sometimes the tickets take longer then others because more information is needed for some issues. Please believe us when we say we are trying our best to get every issue handled in a timely manner as best we can. Please work with us when having support issues as this will help the process move smoothly. This includes providing clear explanations of what issue you are having, uuid numbers and parent information are always helpful. Naming your horses is always important and it is extremely difficult to find which Amaretto Breedable Horse is having the issue.

We understand that filing support tickets can be a pain and we of all people wish it was not even needed, but with Second Life being well Second Life it is necessary.

Consumables with Karrie

       This week I am going to start the first in a series of blog posts about the different consumables. We will start things off talking about the most important one FOOD.  We have never said an exact number of horses to place around 1 food, but I am going to go out on a limb here and recommend you place no more than 10 horses around 1 food.

      We do a lot of house calls where we see many, many horses eating off of one food container and once the horses are moved and spaced out a little it seems to make a difference.  Feel free to make your own judgment on how many you feel comfortable with eating off of the same food, but if you notice any issues try reducing the number around a food and see if it helps. Your horses will eat once every hour. If food is not present their hunger and thirst will rise until it reaches 100% at which time they will get sick. This can take 3 days. A Healing Kit can be used to heal your horses or with the latest update they can eat themselves out of hunger, which takes approximately 3 days. Breeder Food is for horses you wish to breed once they reach 7 days old.
Pet Food is to be used when you do not not wish to breed your horses. If you decide to breed your horse after feeding it Pet Food, it will take 7 days on Breeder Food for the effects of the Pet Food to wear off.

1. Rez the food/water within your horses set range. (a horse’s default range is 5 meters)
2. Click the food/water to change options and see remaining %. Options include Owner only, Group only, and All.
Owner only: Will only be consumed by the owners horses.
Group only: Will only be consumed by horses in the same group as the food/water is set to.
All: Any horse within range of the food/water will be able to consume it.

Once the food/water has been completely consumed it will disappear.

One of the main topics of the tickets we receive is about horses not eating. If you are having issues with your horse not eating please try the following tricks before filing a ticket.
1. Re-rez fixes 99% of the issues.
2. If the land is set to a group, are the horses and food set to that group?
3. If the land isn’t set to a group, are the horse and food set to the same group as each other?
4. Check to see if the horse is set to the type of food out (more stats)
5. Re-set home position.
6. Sometimes giving them a Horsey Snack will help them start to eat so you may also want to try this. Remember your horses only eat once every 43 minutes so you may not notice a change immediately, be patient it takes 3 days for a horse to reach 100% hunger.

****REMEMBER TO RESET HOME POSITION IF YOU EDIT MOVE YOUR HORSE****
****IT IS BEST TO RE-REZ YOUR HORSE NEXT TO THE FOOD INSTEAD OF EDITING IT OVER****

About Albinos

Some people are asking how you get Albinos. Well in todays post I will go over a few things about Albinos

How do you get an Albino?

Albinos come from full siblings. This means it has to be the same mother and same father not half father or half mother. Siblings do not have to have the same traits as some say to give you an Albino, that is not true at all.

Although I cannot give you what the odds are of getting an Albino from a sibling pair I can tell you that not every bundle from siblings will be an Albino.

Can Albinos pass their coat?

No they cannot pass their coat but they can produce another Albino if you put them with their sibling. Remember, there is no other way to get an Albino except from siblings.

Can Albinos pass their eyes?

YES, the eyes on the Albinos can pass.

Is there a list of Albino eyes?

Here is the list of the eyes that the Albinos do have:

Hazel Blue
Hazel Pink
Hazel Green
Multi Black White
Multi Blue Pink
Multi Brown Blue
Multi Green Blue
Multi Green Brown
Multi Pink Violet
Multi Silver Violet
Rainbow

I do want to throw in one more thing that is not about Albinos. Its about an issue I have seen come into play in the past few days that is an SL issue and if it happens to you this might help you in able to fix this issue.

Some have been having horses/bundles that they cannot get menu’s from, can’t pick up, delete them or return them. We are not sure what is causing this issue but there are a few fixes that might work before filing a ticket.

Try to sell the horse to a friend or alt. Someone you can trust. Most of the time after transfer it will be able to be moved.

Try restarting the sim sometimes this works as well

If these steps do not work for you then file a ticket and one of theCSR’s will come out and help you with this matter. This is not happening alot but I wanted to keep you all up to date with new issues that LL makes.
