Slurl Me!

Hey guys guess what it is FRIYAY! That means we have all survived another week! We are super busy here at Amaretto working on top secret update stuff! Enough about us lets talk about you!

It occurred to me earlier today that we do have some community members that do not know how to make a slurl!

SLurls and landmarks serve the same purpose. The main difference is that a SLurl is simply a text link, while a landmark is an inventory item type which can only be used inside of SL.

You can post a slurl in spam, in note card, or even an private message! If a Amaretto CSR ever answers your ticket with the reply please send me a slurl, I want you guys to be ready!

How to use and make SLurls
To use an existing SLurl:

Click this example SLurl.
On the page it takes you to, click Visit this location to open it in Second Life.

To make a new SLurl:

Move your avatar to where you want to create the SLurl.
Click the place name in the location bar (near the top of the Viewer window) to convert it to a SLurl. It’ll look like

Right-click and Copy the SLurl while it’s selected, or use Ctrl+V.

Paste the SLurl where you want it.

Alternatively, you can also use the WORLD MAP to get SLurls:

Select World menu > World Map.
Click Copy SLurl.

You can also enter another place on the map, then click Copy SLurl to get a remote SLurl.

Converting a landmark to a SLurl (and vice-versa)
To convert a landmark to a SLurl:

Select Me > Places.
Right-click a landmark and select Copy SLurl.
Paste the Slurl where you want it.
To convert a SLurl to a landmark:

Click or otherwise use the SLurl to get to its location.
Select World > Landmark This Place. The landmark is saved to your inventory.

So this is a great secondlife tip i use all the time! Hope this helps some of you guys that didnt know how to make a slurl. Happy breeding everyone this is Ava over and out!

Hello everyone its another great day here at Amaretto! I didnt know this but maybe you did, did you know that today is National Pet Day?

Celebrate Diversity

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

“Anything is possible with sunshine and a little pink” – Lilly Pulitzer

It’s a genetic fact that no two of us are alike. Individuality is a good thing! Yet, the differences between us can, also, be a catalyst for criticism from others in the form of bullying.

Everyone knows someone who is a bully. Bullies intimidate others verbally, mentally, emotionally, and sometimes physically. Dealing with a bully is something most people have been forced to do at least once in their life. In fact, according to research, 1 in 2 people experience bullying at some point before their 20th birthday.

Bullying happens in every culture or society. It can happen at home, at school, in the workplace, and over the internet. What I’m trying to say is, anyone can be a bully, anyone can be victimized by bullying, but, together we can stop it. That’s the message behind the International Day of Pink (April 10). It is a day to unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop all forms of bullying and discrimination.

Why Pink?

Pink is a non-threatening color seeking appreciation, respect, and admiration. The color pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. It relates to unconditional love and understanding, and the giving and receiving of nurturing. Pink is intuitive and insightful, showing tenderness and kindness with its empathy and sensitivity. In color psychology, pink is a sign of hope.

Amaretto takes great strides to promote inclusion and positivity. That’s why they offer a diversity of traits; allowing you to create a design that shows your own individuality. Create something spectacular today! Here are just a few pink traits to get you started!

Till next time…Be Kind & Happy Breeding!

April is Autism Awareness Month

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders:

Autism Awareness Month was established to increase global understanding and acceptance of people with autism. Autism is not a condition that we can run from nor are there cures right around the corner, but, we can learn through the eyes of those who deal with it every day.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disability; signs typically appear during early childhood and affect a person’s ability to communicate and interact with others. ASD affects diagnosed individuals differently and to varying degrees. There is no known single cause of autism, however, Autism is treatable. Individuals with autism do not “outgrow” autism, but studies show that early diagnosis and intervention lead to significantly improved outcomes.

Some of the behaviors associated with autism include delayed learning of language; difficulty making eye contact or holding a conversation; difficulty with executive functioning, which relates to reasoning and planning; narrow, intense interests; poor motor skills’ and sensory sensitivities. Again, a person on the spectrum might follow many of these behaviors or just a few, or many others besides.

To keep the breeding community aware of special topics, Amaretto announced a full year (2013) of Awareness horse eyes born onto the grid.  These eyes were random drops to any horse version 3.5 or higher. These eyes DO have the ability to pass. The set included the Autism Awareness Eye.

Amaretto takes pride in being deeply involved in fundraising for various charities. From time to time, Limited Edition, Special Edition, and Collectors Edition breedables have been released to help raise funds for Autism charities. Just take a look at these Autism Awareness Horses that were released in April 2011.

The coat and eyes did NOT pass on these editions.

In April of 2015, Amaretto, once again, created some very special breedables to raise funds for a very deserving family with 3 Autistic children, The Torres Family. You can read more about this wonderful family at this link:

The Coats on these 2015 Autism Awareness editions did NOT pass. However, the eyes on the Horses, K9s, and chickens DID have the ability to pass, as well as the K9 collar.

For more ways to help support Autism Awareness, please check out the webpage for the Autism Society:

Till next time…Happy Breeding!

Points Of Contact!

Hey everyone guess what its Thursday! I wanted to take some time today to talk to you about something I am very passionate about and that is that you as a customer of Amaretto can always find help or talk to someone if you need help!

There are a few different ways that you can get in touch with Amaretto!

If it is within normal business hours you can go to the main horse store and see who is online and use the paging system to speak with someone.

Another way that you can get in touch with Amaretto is by filing a ticket! We answer all tickets, even the ones that may be considered silly or not ticket worthy. So we will respond to any ticket filed. This is a great way to communicate because you can access your tickets anytime on our support page and it also keeps a record for us!

Everyday during the week the Assistant Manager of Amaretto Mrs. Jaymee Caproni holds a Q and A time at the main horse store watch for her in the groups telling you when she will be there, head on over and say hello!

Also located at every Amaretto location is a suggestion mail box, so if you have a great idea that you want to share with Amaretto you can put it in a nc and drop it in any mailbox!

On the last Wednesday of ever month, Amaretto hosts a community meeting where everyone is welcome to attend, and the floor is open to discuss any issue you may be having with your breeadble! Also you might learn some secrets if you attend!

The last resort way to contact Amaretto would be sending a notecard or a message to a Amaretto staff member, for instance if you can not sign into the support website and need some help you can send Avalon Crystal a notecard and I will get back to you ASAP!

Wait! I almost forgot probably the way that most of you guys talk is the Amaretto groups during business hours staff is always in the group during the week. If it is a weekend or the middle of the night we have moderators that are online and a ton of community members that will help you as well!

With all these different ways for you to be in contact with Amaretto, you should have no problem getting any help if you need it! Also if you would like to tell me about your experience with Amaretto good or bad you can send me a notecard thats Avalon Crystal! Happy breeding everyone this is Ava over and out!

Spring Has Sprung!

Happy Hump Day Fellow Breeders!

The Spring (vernal) equinox is upon us! Today, March 20th, both the Northern and Southern hemispheres will experience an equal amount of daylight. Equinoxes and solstices are opposite on either side of the equator. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the March equinox marks the beginning of Spring, with daylight hours continuing to lengthen until the Summer solstice in June. For those South of the equator, it is the Fall (autumnal) equinox, which marks the start of Fall.

Why do we have an equinox?
The equinox, the seasons, and the changing length of daylight hours throughout the year are all due to one fact: The Earth spins on a tilted axis.

The tilt — possibly caused by a massive object hitting Earth billions of years ago — means that for half the year, the North Pole is pointed toward the sun. For the other half of the year, the South Pole gets more light. It’s what gives us seasons.

Whatever the reason, I, for one, am happy to see warming temperatures, trees budding and flowers popping up from their Winter hiding spot under the soil.

Today, also, marks a great day to a look back at some of the Spring Editions that Amaretto has created over the years.

The 2015 Editions went a step further and introduced the Spring Flowers!

These gorgeous Coats/Breeds were the hidden surprise inside the 2015 Spring Editions.
They DO have the ability to pass!

What a collection of beautiful breedables! Amaretto strives to keep things fresh and new, so, you never know what’s going to pop up next!

Favorite Trait Revealed!

Hey everyone its another Terrific Tuesday! I hope everyones fay is going well!
Last week I had asked you guys to send me what you think your favorite Amaretto trait was.

I got several note cards from the community! Some had some excellent suggestions for future traits, which we always appreciate. Let me share with you some of the top entries before I tell you all what the winning trait is.

Here is a list of the top Fav traits currently available for Amaretto Horses!

Wild hairs

Now when I think about my favorite trait it is just so hard to pick one! I mean i love saddles, wings, and socks! So which trait was the favorite amongst you guys?!

By a landslide it was hands down the Wild Hair trait!

I always say that the wild hair trait is like the cherry on top of a sundae! It can bring a project all together! It is so exciting to think about all the new traits thats will be coming in 6.0!

Until then this is Ava over and out! Happy breeding everyone!
