Hey guys hope everyone is enjoy a wonderful Monday! What a week! I know everyone has been updating and getting their new starters! I am so excited for you guys to see all the hidden surprises in this update!

I do want to take a few moments to talk to everyone about something a little more serious and the is that the whole month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I wanted for Amaretto and the community to come together and show some support for Making Strides!

If you haven’t noticed we have set out kiosks out at all location you may choose to donate lindens into any of the kiosks. If you guys don’t already know this about me I do enjoy a good auction! What better way to have an auction and raise some money for a great cause??

Well on October 26, 2016 weather permitting at 1 PM SLT (nah just kidding sun is always shining in sl) we will have a BCA auction and everyone is welcome to come!

Hello Amaretto community and Happy Saturday! Today I want to introduce to you to the new Forever Foal! How is it new you ask?? The Forever Foal is now a consumable!! You no longer have to send in your horse to be turned in to a Forever Foal! (If you have older version Forever Foal certificates you can still redeem them by following the instructions and sending them to Jaymee Caproni)

If you don’t know about the Forever Foal, let me fill you in… the Forever Foal is a great consumable that takes any retired horse and turns them into a pet forever! Meaning you will never have to worry about feeding your horse as after becoming a “Forever Foal” it no longer requires any food. A “Forever Foal” horse will look and function just like any other Amaretto Ranch Breedable horse. This only works for horses over 120 days old (retired). You can pick this consumable up at any Amaretto Ranch Horse store! Let me take a moment to go over how to use the Forever Foal consumable!

Instructions:

1. Open boxed Forever Foal and rez next to the horse you wish to become a pet.

2. Click the horse and go to the consumables option on the menu.

3. Find Forever Foal from the options on the menu and click it.

Once the horse’s stats have been updated the Forever Foal consumable will disappear.

***ONCE A RETIRED HORSE IS TURNED INTO A FOREVER FOAL IT CAN NOT BE TURNED BACK***

*Only works for Retired Horses (Retired= 120 plus days old) and can be used for both male and female Retired Horses*

*Makes a Retired Horse so that it will not require food any more. All other normal functions for a Retired Horse will still operate normally*

*Hover text will say Pet instead of Retired *

Hello everyone and Happy Friday! Guess what time it is? It is update time!!! That’s right… Amaretto Update version 5.5 is now out! I will take a moment to cover what additions and fixes were included in this awesome update! For information about how to update please see Dakota’s blog yesterday http://amarettobreedables.com/connection/?p=11898 where she covers all the important details of updating your Amaretto Ranch Breedables! Also, in the new update we have enclosed several Note Cards. These Note Cards have very IMPORTANT information on them. Remember you MUST purchase new starters to get the 5.5 Surprises!

I am going to review some of this information here for you.

Update v5.5 Fixes/Changes:

Fixes:

1.  Remove the “invisible horn” on all horse models

2.  Fixed sick textures when horse is healed

3.  Fixed Shetland riding animations

4.  Fixed Clydesdale ears when riding

5.  Fixed parent stats giving script errors

6.  Fixed multiple model errors

Changes:

1.  Added the sick updater to the regular updaters, now all in one

2.  Added new Forever Foal consumable

3.  Added new saddle invisible option in menu

4.  Removed hues from saddles

**  PLEASE NOTE** “Put Out to Pasture” (retired) means these will no longer be birthed from starter horses; they can ONLY be birthed from existing horses already on the grid that carry these traits.

Something’s you need to know about the updater:

**IF THE BULK UPDATER DOESN’T UPDATE ALL YOUR HORSES, RE-REZ THE HORSE AND TRY IT AGAIN, YOU MAY ALSO USE THE SINGLE UPDATER FOR HORSES THE BULK UPDATER DOES NOT UPDATE**

1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one. If you continue to try and update your horse it will give you another error message and have you pick one updater up and reset the other. (Touch and wait 5 seconds to reset)

2. It will not update pregnant horses. The reason being the updater can potentially abort the pregnancy. Waiting to update your pregnant horses will not affect the horse’s functions, they will continue to eat, move, animate etc. When they give birth to the bundle, then you can update them. The bundle will be the old version and need to be updated when birthed.

3. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater.

Update Instructions:

Single Updater: Place the updater near the horse that isn’t updated and click the horse and click the update button. The horse will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process. ***DO NOT PICK UP HORSES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

Bulk Updater: Place the bulk updater in the middle of your horse breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your horses to be set to after the update process, then click the update horse’s button on the updater menu. This updater has the ability to update all horses that are not v5.5 in an entire region. However, depending on sim performance it may only do the horses in a 96 meter radius. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all horses and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED. ***DO NOT PICK UP HORSES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

Happy Thursday!  I’ve seen all the excitement in the groups about the 5.5 Horse Update that is coming out Friday October 7, 2016 and I decided that my blog today would be the perfect opportunity to talk about updating ….Amaretto style!

Amaretto releases an update for one of the breedables in order to add new things or to fix small issues.  Updating is easy and can be quite fun and exciting so let me tell you a few things about updating your breedables.

*Amaretto only supports current version animals! (this means if for any reason your breedable goes through support it will come back the most current version!)

*You must update your breedables to take advantage of all fixes in an update.

How to update your breedable?
It’s simple:
You will have to pick up your FREE updater at any of the Amaretto locations once an update has been released.

Single Updater:
Place the updater near the animal that isn’t updated and from the animals menu select the update button. The animal will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process.

Bulk Updater:

Place the bulk updater in the middle of your breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your animal to be set to after the update process, then select the update button on the updater menu. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all animals and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED.

***DO NOT PICK UP ANIMALS OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***
