HAPPY BREEDING!!!

Ready, Set, GO!

Horse racing has a long and distinguished history and has been practised in civilisations across the world since ancient times. Archaeological records indicate that horse racing occurred in Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Babylon, Syria, and Egypt. It also plays an important part of myth and legend, such as the contest between the steeds of the god Odin and the giant Hrungnir in Norse mythology.

In later times, Thoroughbred racing became, and remains, popular with aristocrats and royalty of British society, earning it the title “Sport of Kings”. It is also very popular in America, in many forms, from Thoroughbred racing, to Quarterhorse racing

When the version 3.5 Horse update came out on July 6, 2012 racing traits were hidden in new starters. You could have a chance at the racing traits by breeding any horse with a starter horse or by breeding together two starter horses.

Racing is actually two traits, the 17th and 18th, Stamina and Speed. The reason for this, even though they can’t have one without the other, is because they can be changed independently of each other. With training using the HUD, your racing trait horse can have different classes of Stamina and Speed.

Speed = The Sprinting speed of a horse.
Speed is ranked using the following Class system:

S = 3x Avie Run Speed (ARS) {Highest Possible Class} 50 minutes of training time
A = 2.5x ARS 45 minutes of training time
B = 2x ARS 40 minutes of training time
C = 1.5x ARS 35 minutes of training time
D = ARS {Lowest Possible Class}30 minutes of training time
Class D is where horses start

Classes S,A,B,C, and D are trainable and passable

Stamina = The amount of time a horse can sprint without recharging . Stamina is ranked using the following Class system:

S = 50s of sprinting and 50 minutes of training time
A = 45s of sprinting and 45 minutes of training time
B = 40s of sprinting and 40 minutes of training time
C = 35s of sprinting and 35 minutes of training time
D = 30s of sprinting and 30 minutes of training time
Class D is where horses start

Classes S,A,B,C, and D are trainable and passable

XP
XP is gained through training your horse in a given field (speed or stamina) to move from one class to the next you must train from 0% to 100% in the current Class of that field.

XP Gains as follows:

Class D gains XP @ .5% per minute of training
Class C gains XP @ .4% per minute of training
Class B Gains XP @ .3% per minute of training
Class A Gains XP @ .1% per minute of training

To get the horse HUD, go to the main menu and press help tab, then get hud. Attach the HUD, attach your racing trait horse, then connect the horse to the HUD by pressing connect button in the Main Menu of the HUD.

How to Train
Enter Training Mode by clicking Training in the Racing Menu
Select Speed or Stamina from the drop menu
Move using the arrow keys or w a s d keys
You are now Training your horse ( XP gain only occurs while you are moving with the horse)
Click Training in the Racing Menu again to Exit Training ( Training will also end automatically when the horse has reached its daily limit based on its stamina class)
You can only train your horse ONCE daily for the amount of time allotted by the Horses Class and only in one category (speed or stamina)per day.
Ex. I trained my Class D horse for 30 minutes on speed today so I will have to wait for 24 hours before I can train it again for stamina.

How to Race
Enter Racing Mode by clicking on Racing in the Racing Menu
Move using the arrow keys or w a s d keys
Toggle sprint on and off using Page Down/ or C keys (amount of sprinting time/ or stamina reservoir used for sprinting is based upon Stamina Class)
Jump by Tapping Page Up/E Keys.
You are now racing (Speed of horse is based upon Speed Class)
Click Racing in the Racing Menu again to Exit Racing Mode
You can only connect one horse at a time to the HUD, and can only wear one HUD at a time.

One word of warning if you get a horse to S Speed. Fasten your seatbelt! Happy Racing

Simply Dazzling!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!! Hope your weekend and New Year is off to a great start!

Today I wanted to take a look at the amazing Dazzle Horses. These horses are absolutely gorgeous and very special.

On September 1, 2015 Amaretto released the Dazzle horses!

On October 7,2016 Amaretto released new starters in version 5.5 there were new hidden Dazzle Horses Ruby, Peridot, Opal, Turquoise, and Pearl Dazzle Horses.

Dazzle Horses can only come by breeding a male and female with Dazzle eyes together.

The Dazzle eyes can be viewed on the wiki at the following links:

https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Dazzle_Eyes

https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Dazzle_HeartShine_Eyes

https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Dazzle_StarShine_Eyes

They do NOT have to be the same Dazzle Eyes to have a chance at getting one of these randomly dropped coats. The Saddles that come with each amazing Dazzle coat are specific to their coat and they do have the ability to pass. That’s right you heard it correct these beautiful new Saddles DO have the ability to pass!! Dazzle Horses can NOT pass their coat. However breeding a Dazzle Horse with another Dazzle Horse or with any other horse with Dazzle Eyes you will slightly increase your chance for another Dazzle Horse.

For a closer look at any of these gorgeous horses check them out on the wiki at https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Dazzle_Horses

So have fun and good luck in getting one of these gorgeous horses.

Until next week this is Snookie hoping your weekend is amazing and your next week is great!

Happy Breeding!!

I’m Wild About Them

The African wild dog (Lycaon pictus), also called the painted dog, or Cape hunting dog, is a canine native to sub-Saharan Africa. It is the largest indigenous canine in Africa, and it is estimated that about 6,600 adults including 1,400 mature individuals live in 39 subpopulations that are all threatened by habitat fragmentation, human persecution and outbreaks of diseases. The African wild dog is listed as endangered since 1990. It is a highly social animal, living in packs with separate dominance hierarchies for males and females. Uniquely among social carnivores, the females rather than the males disperse from the natal pack once sexually mature. The young are allowed to feed first on carcasses. There are five subspecies, with color variations in each, and as you can see they are very flashy.

Amaretto’s version of the Wild Dog is a little bit different but just as flashy. For the 2012 Holidays Amaretto released the Amaretto Special Edition 2012- Holiday K-9s at all Amaretto Locations! As an added twist for 24 hours starting December 20th Amaretto Retro Edition 2010 & 2011 Throwback Packs were sold. What made these even more special were the hidden surprises they held. By breeding any of these holiday K-9s (2012, Retro 2011) to each other you could unlock these hidden surprises. The In to the Wild K-9s were the hidden surprises! The In to the Wild K-9s CAN pass their Coat, Eyes & Collar!

In November of 2013 Amaretto started their special breeding called Twist Coats, which consisted each month of 2 different breeds that you had to breed together in order to discover the “twist coat, collar & eye”. From June 5, 2014 until July 5, 2014 you could breed any color of Dalmatian and any color of Into the Wild together for the chance at one of these Dawild Coats. No other qualifications were necessary, just had to be 1 Dalmatian and 1 Into the Wild any color. The results of this breeding were the Dawild coats, the White/Black, Black/White, Liver and my personal favorite because I’m a sucker for rainbows, the Rainbow Dawild. The coat, eyes and collar of these dogs could pass.

The final special breeding using the Into The Wild dogs was the Crazed Coat Into the Wild. From January 5, 2016 until February 5, 2016 you could breed any color Into The Wild K-9s together for the chance of getting one of the Crazed Coat Into The Wild. The coats were even more colorful, and included the very bright Rainbow wild eye, and of course, the Rainbow Crazed Coat Into the Wild Zebra. Woot! The coat, eyes and collar all have the ability to pass.

So many possibilities and so many colors! What will you be breeding?

Wiki Business!

Hello everyone! Its a terrific Tuesday here at Amaretto. I felt it nesscecary following the group chat lately this connection was needed to talk about this!

Where can you go to find a trait you’ve never heard of? The library? Google? Your closet? Nooooooo. The Amaretto Wiki pages! That’s right, Amaretto wiki has almost everything on it you are looking for, complete with pictures.

Each page has a list of certain traits you can scroll through, with the latest entries at the bottom. Click on the trait, and it opens another page If you don’t want to scroll, you can use the search function, which is in the upper right hand corner of each page.

Type in the trait you are looking for, such as Paisley eyes, and up comes a page with links to click to see where that eye is in the Wiki.

Scrolling through the Amaretto Wiki pages can give you ideas on what to look for if you’re doing a project, traits you might have but aren’t sure where they came from, or pictures to show you what is possible that you can drool over. It’s like spending a day at the library going through books crammed with information, but right at your fingertips. Remember, the Wiki is your FRIEND.

Another good thing is the Wiki is around 24/7 so check it out! This is Ava over and out! Happy breeding!

It’s getting cold outside so don’t forget the Socks!!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!! I hope your Saturday is going well and your weekend is off to a great start!

Today we are going to shine the spotlight on our Horses and the Sock trait.

The Sock trait was introduced with the Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses that were on sale from February 7, 2013 through February 22, 2013.

On February 7, 2013 a twist to the Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses was announced. If you breed a Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses with a Limited Edition 2013 Valentine Horses you will have the ability to get a new trait called Socks.

From October 1, 2013 through October 9, 2013 the Limited Edition 2013 Fall Horses were on sale. By breeding these Limited Editions with any other horse you had the chance at getting 1 of 4 new Sock colors, Black, White, Green or Rainbow.

Spring Editions were available from March 20th, 2018 to Tuesday April 3, 2018! Hiding inside these Spring Editions was the Daisy & Plumeria Sock!

Please note that socks are an alternative to hoof traits so you may only have one or the other on a horse.

A Null trait is an “Invisible trait”, a placeholder. These placeholders were implemented as a way to allow the breeder to have a maximum trait horse but still look the way they want it to look.

The Sock trait CAN be passed on.

For a closer look at socks check them out on the wiki at https://horse.amaretto.wiki/index.php?title=Socks

Until next time this is Snookie hoping you have a great weekend and an amazing week ahead!

Happy Breeding!!
