Spotlight on Racing

Happy Thursday Amaretto!  Today I wanted to shine the spotlight on something that can be lots of fun of fun while you are waiting on those bundles to drop.  Racing!!! That’s right you can race your Amaretto horses or train them just for fun to increase their speed and stamina traits.  Remember your horse must have the racing traits first before you can train them.  Now let me include all the pertinent information you’ll need to begin training or racing your horses.

~~~~~THE HUD~~~~~
1.) Can only connect one horse at a time to the hud.
2.) Can only wear one hud at a time.
~~~~~THE STATS~~~~~

ONLY NEW STARTERS WILL CARRY THE HIDDEN RACING TRAIT TO PASS ON TO NEWER GENERATIONS. (Is not breed or coat dependent).

***SPEED***

Speed = The Sprinting speed of a horse.

Speed is ranked using the following Class system:

S = 3x Avie Run Speed (ARS) {Highest Possible Class} 50 minutes of training time
A = 2.5x ARS 45 minutes of training time
B = 2x ARS 40 minutes of training time
C = 1.5x ARS 35 minutes of training time
D = ARS {Lowest Possible Class}30 minutes of training time

Class D is where horses start
Classes S,A,B,C, and D are trainable and passable

***STAMINA***

Stamina = The amount of time a horse can sprint without recharging

Stamina is ranked using the following Class system:

S = 50s of sprinting and 50 minutes of training time
A = 45s of sprinting and 45 minutes of training time
B = 40s of sprinting and 40 minutes of training time
C = 35s of sprinting and 35 minutes of training time
D = 30s of sprinting and 30 minutes of training time

Class D is where horses start
Classes S,A,B,C, and D are trainable and passable

***XP***

XP is gained through training your horse in a given field (speed or stamina) to move from one class to the next you must train from 0% to 100% in the current Class of that field.

XP Gains as follows:
Class D gains XP @ .5% per minute of training
Class C gains XP @ .4% per minute of training
Class B Gains XP @ .3% per minute of training
Class A Gains XP @ .1% per minute of training

Class D is where horses start
Classes S,A,B,C, and D are trainable and passable

***BREEDING***

Offspring of horses with the racing trait have a chance to receive the racing trait of their parents.

The Racing traits come from breeding “Starter Coats” together or one starter with any other horse.

Please note that the Racing trait CAN be passed on.

When the Racing traits pass they can pass as the same class, one class higher, one class lower or even two class’s lowers.

Remember riding your horses boosts not only their happiness but yours as well!

If you need a place to race or train your horses you are always welcome to use the Amaretto Racetrack at Boomtown. This slurl will take you to the racetrack all you need to bring are your horses and your friends and there will be fun had by all!

http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Amaretto%20Ranch%20Boomtown/133/108/2489

You can also attend the AMOC races each month to join in on the racing fun.  Watch notices for dates and times!

Until next time Happy breeding and Happy Racing!

Howdy breeders! Today I would like to cover the GPS. We have a GPS for each of our breedables. We have the Global Pony Settings barrel for horses, the Global Pup Settings hydrant for K9, and the Global Peck’n Sort silo for birds. These nifty devices were created to make life just a bit easier for breeders. The GPS turns possibly hundreds of clicks into a handful of clicks. The GPS is a FREE device that is given out at any Amaretto Horse, K-9, or Barnyard Bird Store.

Before we get into how these awesome devices work, it’s important to point out that the GPS will set all the horses, k9, or birds in a sim that are listed under the owner’s name. It’s important to remember this if you have special pens set up to manage special projects. Please also remember that there is a separate GPS for each of the three Amaretto Ranch Breedables.

When you get your Amaretto Global Pony Settings (GPS) from the Amaretto Store, you’ll open it to your inventory and find inside Instructions, Land Marks, TOS and the GPS itself. When you rezz your GPS and click on it, you will find the following Global Settings options

Set Range

This will allow you to set the range on your breedables. When you click this button you will put in local chat the range you wish your breedables to be set at.

Activate

Once you have made all the changes you would like to make to the settings of your breedables click Activate from the drop down menu and all your settings will be activated. If your text setting is left in the on position, you will probably notice the text on your K-9s will go off and then come back on.

Home Set

With this option you can keep the Home setting where it was or tell the GPS to reset the home on all rezzed breedables to their current location.

Text Off

This allows you to set the text to off.

Sounds On

This allows you to set the sounds to on.

Sounds Off

This allows you to set the sounds to off.

Anims On

This allows you to set the animations to on.

Anims Off

This allows you to set the animations to off.

Text On

This allows you to set the text to on.

Move Physic

This allows you to set the movement of your breedables to physical. When set to physical your breedable will not walk through other objects.

Move Phant

This allows you to set the movement of your breedables to phantom. When set to phantom your breedable will walk through other objects.

Move Off

This allows you to set the movement of your breedables to off.

Lets Pair up!

Hello everyone its a lazy Sunday! Hope you all are having a great weekend and are ready to kick off an awesome week!

I thought I would take some time and talk about breeding and pairing!
Many use pairing when you want 2 special specific breedables to mate!

Let’s go over the basic requirements of pairing your Amaretto Breedable.

Both breedables have to be the same version!
Please make sure your breedables are of breeding age!

Here are the steps on how to pair your breedable:
Click on your breedable you want to pair.
Click on Breeding in the drop down Menu
Click on Form Pairing or Companion.
Then you will type the name of the horse/K-9/Barnyard Bird in local that you wish to pair with.

Then you get a drop down menu asking you to confirm or cancel the pairing you would choose confirm

(Example)
In local chat it will say

Mike is now paired with Katie
Now your breedables are paired and will breed with each other when the time is right.

Remember once they breed pairing is automatically broken so if you wish the same 2 to breed again be sure to re-pair them.

This is Ava over and out! Happy Pairing everyone!!!

Just like the beautiful fall leaves dropping from the trees the Fall Limited Editions are dropping quite a bit of beauty themselves.  Today has been an exciting day in the Amaretto groups as the 2014 Fall LE’s began dropping their 1st round of bundles and it was discovered that they could be hiding one of the amazing new horn colors!  These new horn colors will fit perfectly into many of the projects the community is working on as they match perfectly with many of the other traits!

The new horns that have been discovered are the Prism (which is Rainbow), Royal (which is Purple), Envy (which is Green) and Sunset (which is Orange).

Remember you can have a chance at one of these new horns by breeding your 2014 Fall Limited Editions with any other horse.  The 2014 Fall Limited Editions were on sale from October 3 – October 10, 2014. If you haven’t had a chance to see the beautiful new horns I have included pictures of each of them below.

Until next time Happy Breeding!

Happy Thursday Everyone!  We’ve had a lot of excitement in the past few weeks with the new update, new starters, new Haven Horses and the new Fall Limited Editions.  Today I wanted to shine my spotlight on a couple of new things that I keep seeing people ask about in the main Amaretto group.  These things came directly from the creativity of the Amaretto Community!

Back in June we held the Amaretto Country Fair and at the Country Fair we had 12 different raffles that the community was able to enter for a chance to win a special prize while all the proceeds went directly to Relay for Life.  Well I keep seeing people wondering where a couple of really cool new traits came from and I am happy to tell you that they were won by lucky members of the community at these raffles.

On one of the raffle boards you had the chance to win this: **Create your own Horse Eye** This eye will be all the winners design and come on the horse of your choice. The winner of this was stefane Klaber and he created the beautiful Sun & Moon eye that you see in the picture below.  This is a gorgeous design and one of the “must have” eyes on my list of must haves! Congratulations again to stefane for supporting RFL and for creating such a marvelous eye to share with the community!  Way to go stefane the Sun and Moon eye is awesome!

On another of the raffle boards you had the chance to win this: **Create your own Horse Branding** This branding will be all the winners design and come on the horse of your choice. The winner of this raffle was JonSnow2012 Resident and he created the beautiful Rainbow Star Branding that you see in the picture below.  This beautiful branding is the first color branding and if you haven’t seen it yet check out the picture below as it is just a gorgeous as it sounds!  Congratulations again to JonSnow for supporting RFL and for creating such a beautiful branding to share with the community!  Way to go JonSnow the Rainbow Star Branding is awesome!

There were plenty of other winners at the Amaretto Country Fair and you can see the list of winners at this link:

http://amarettobreedables.com/connection/?p=7554

So the next time you think you want to be able to create your own trait for the Amaretto Horses, K-9s or Birds remember you never know some day you may get the chance to do just that!

Until next time, Happy Breeding!

Flower of Life!

Happy Sunday everyone!
I wanted to talk to everyone about a new albino eye that was just discovered!

I am not sure if you have seen it or heard about the Flower of Life Eye!

That’s right take a look at this awesome new albino eye!

Flower of Life

How do you get one?

Amaretto Albinos have become somewhat famous in the Amaretto Community. To have such a prized horse born is very exciting. Plus they come with a very special eye that will be sought after by many.
Albinos come with very special Albino eyes that can be passed on to their offspring.

The Albinos come randomly from full siblings. Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling.

However, breeding an Albino with another Albino does slightly increase your chance for another Albino.

So keep your eye out for the new Flower of Life Eye in the market and who knows maybe your eye out for other new surprises still to come!

This is Ava over and out! Happy Breeding everyone!
