Happy Friday Everyone!! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing CheshireCat Darkrose. He is in the groups so give him a big hello when you see him!!

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

I was searching online for Virtual Worlds since I wanted to see if the tech age had gotten the Virtual Systems. I am a hobbyist in the computer technology. I also was taking Electronic Engineering with AI Programing. Well I was searching around and a friend of mine invited me to Second Life. Well I didn’t know what to expect.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
Horses (my First Love) and really partial too. As you can see from my pictures. I have some chickens and have some K9’s also, but I love my Horses.

How did you get started in breedables?

That was funny to say the least. I actually was just porting around getting to know SL then. I stumbled on a sim and saw them everywhere. I got with the sim owner and was asking questions after questions and found out that the Amaretto Horses just came out. I think it was in the first month that Amaretto Horses came out. Then I was talking to a friend and they told me “There were horses that were breedable In SL”. Upon hearing the excitement she displayed. I told her” Yes, I know!!! I have some you wanna see?” She bought a few (that was my first sale) and well, the rest has been history, I have been raising, buying and selling Horses since. She has graduated from ARU Class but I haven’t as of yet. But I do plan to. And can I add that we are still very good friends even today. Also I wanted to say Thank You to all the Amaretto Staff for having those ARU Classes. I have been breeding a long time. From the beginning and seen the horses go through a lot of changes and I wanted to say great job on them. The classes provide good friendships and also knowledge base. Keep them coming.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?

I have had Emons, Dragons, Fennux, and a few others. But I always come back to Amaretto Horses.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?

Oh funny you should ask that. I have always loved the Red Walkers. But I have been working the hues into the breedings and am making Green Red Walkers with the Emerald Saddles. I think I have a picture of one. Also Elementals. One day hope to breed out a few of the Charmed Horses. And yes my Kids also assist me in what horses to breed with what. They love the horses and have been at my side the whole way. My Daughter she writes them all down in her note books and son tends to draw them out. Yes, this is a family activity!!

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s? None as of yet

What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable?
I love my horses. But I do like the K9’s and Chickens. Can’t wait till the Ponie Pals come out.

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?

Well, when I am not taking care of my horses. I build and assist in the creation of a Breedable Sim. You can always Im me to find out where. When I am on of course. LOL. I have returned to School. I am a single Full time Dad of 2 of the Smartest and Best Children a Dad could ever ask for. We all work on the house, out in the Gardens, Green houses, Studying, and Doing things with my kids. School activities. Oh, you get the Point. LOL. Well, there you have it. I am CheshireCat Darkrose. I would like to Show you some picture of What I Do with the Horses. Let’s Dance!!!

Happy Thursday!! It’s time to shine my Spotlight on the next letter of the Amaretto Alphabet and this is one that gets everyone excited!!!

U is for ………………. Update!!!

Every so often Amaretto will release an update for one of the breedables in order to add new things or to fix small issues.  Updating is easy and can be quite fun and exciting so let me tell you a few things about updating your breedables.

*Amaretto only supports current version animals! (this means if for any reason your breedable goes through support it will come back latest version!)

*You must update your breedables to take advantage of all fixes in an update.

How to update your breedable?
It’s simple:
You will have to pick up your FREE updater at any of the Amaretto locations once an update has been released.

Single Updater:
Place the updater near the animal that isn’t updated and from the animals menu select the update button. The animal will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process.

Bulk Updater:

Place the bulk updater in the middle of your breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your animal to be set to after the update process, then select the update button on the updater menu. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all animals and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED.

***DO NOT PICK UP ANIMALS OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***
Somethings you need to know about the updater:

1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one. If you continue to try and update your horse It will give you another error message and have you pick one updater up and reset the other. (touch and wait 5 seconds to reset)

2. It will not update pregnant animals. The reason being the updater can potentially abort the pregnancy. Waiting to update your pregnant animals will not effect their functions, they will continue to eat, move, animate etc. When they give birth then you can update them. The bundle, kennel, or nest will be the old version and need to be updated when birthed.

3. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater.

4. Sick breedables have to be updated using the Sick Breedables updaters.

5. You can only update animals that you own.

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Moonlight Darkstone , she is in the Amaretto Groups so when you see her give her a big hello.

Please tell the community a little about yourself. Where you are from and what brought you to Second Life?

RL I’m from UK – specifically Scotland (Can we have a Scottish thistle brand at some point?? 😀 !!)
I came to SL at the end of 2006 by accident. I created an account – but couldn’t really get into the place. It was a year later when I came back to it, this time I made some really good friends and we explored the place together.

Which Amaretto Breedables do you own?
Horses only.

How did you get started in breedables?
I’m not sure how I first found out about them it was a long time ago – but they were version 1.3 when I bought my first one – at a time when Long Longs were almost non-existent !! That was my first challenge to try to breed Long Longs. I ride two horses regularly at my local riding stables in RL called Murphy and Connor and although I would have liked a horse of my own in RL – I just don’t have the time to look after one properly – so virtual horses were my answer and I got hooked !!

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
I had merroos for a short time just after they were released, but whilst they were cute and cuddly they didnt last long – I much preferred Amaretto Horses so I’ve not had any other breedables since.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses?
Currently trying to add Saddle Emerald Dazzle and skogar wing to apple green perlino and a Toxic Slime Crazed Skewbald but as I just got a little boy cobalt crazed falabella this morning I think my new project will be to add a a blue wing and bridle to his line !
What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable ?
Horses – especially the crazed perlino’s. Although I have a soft spot for creme and silver Palomino’s !!

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I’ve just gotton back into roleplaying after a long break, It in a “Dungeons and dragons” themed SIM. I enjoy creating a character and working with others to build storylines. The sim I have found is full of really strong roleplayers and I’m working on raising my game to match !

Hey guys its another terrific Tuesday here at the Amaretto Ranch! Boy are we busy! So many new and exciting things coming in the future for you guys!!
I wanted to take time out to show everyone the new Looney Legs for the K-9s and Horses!

Introducing to you Looney Leg Ladybug!

How do you get this Looney Leg trait? Well any breeding from 2 Horses with the Ladybug Branding gives you a chance at getting the Looney Leg Ladybug for the whole month of June! This trait does have the ability to pass on! I am waiting to see what you guys will do with these super cute legs in your projects!

Now for my K-9 Breeders, take a look at this Looney Leg Cherry! Isn’t this adorable?

To get the Looney Leg Cherry all you need to do is breed ANY Cherry two noses together you will get a chance at a Looney Leg Cherry!!This will end on June 30th at midnight! I can see these paired with Cherry noses and all the projects you will use these legs on!!!

I am a furry from Maine. I got into SL because of a few friends had showed me it 10 years ago and it was a way to see friends outside of Conventions.

Horses and K-9’s

How did you get started in breedables?
A friend of mine introduced me to horses. When the K-9’s were released I decided to venture into the world of K9’s.

Do you own other breedables besides Amaretto?
yes but currently only raising Amarrettos.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto Horses? I was working on a Nurse horse. candy cane triats on an white walker and medical eye.

What special projects are you working on right now with your Amaretto K-9s? None really just in for fun.
What is your favorite Amaretto Breedable ?
Right know i would have to say my favorite is the K-9’s as a few remind me of real dogs i had.

What are some other things that you enjoy doing in Second Life when you’re not taking care of your breedables?
I spend time with friends and family here in SL… I also enjoy talking with other so don’t be afraid to say hi.
