With the release of the Valentines Day Editions the maximum amount traits that you can get on a K-9 and Chickens has changed!
Here is a list of the max traits that a K-9 can have:

3 Ears (Non-Starter)
4 Size (Non-Starter)
5 Collar (Non-Starter)
6 Tail (Non-Starter)

11 Paw Polish/paw warmers

13 Dipped ears
