Around Christmas time we always think of different kinds of candy and confections, and anticipate the enjoyment when they’re greedily consumed by friends and family. This year i made several different kinds as gifts, chocolate covered cherries and raisins, peppermint bark, haystacks, candied orange peels. Most of these just require a few simple ingredients put together, much like Amaretto’s confection horses. All you have to do to try for them is breed any two confection eyed horses together and hope for a good result.
When the version 3.2 Horse update came out on January 30, 2012 these exciting new eyes were hidden in new starters. Since then they’ve added more to make it to 26 exciting confection eyes!

On Amaretto’s 4th birthday, September 1, 2014, the revealed the Confection horses! These could be randomly birthed by breeding together any two horses that have Confection Eyes, to get one of 6 beautiful, random Confection coats.
Confection Horses can NOT pass their coat. However breeding a Confection Horse with another Confection Horse or with any other horse with Confection Eyes you will slightly increase your chance for another Confection Horse. The eye on that Confection horse does have the ability to pass. With 26 eyes to choose from, hopefully soon Amaretto will bring out more new Confection coats.
I’ve included a few candy recipes for you to try for yourself. And why wait for next Christmas to enjoy these sweet treats?
Haystacks
ingredients—
chocolate chips/12 oz. bag
coconut
mint flavoring
The amounts depend on how much you want to make, I use a small electric coffee grinder to grind the coconut smaller but you dont have to.
Melt the chocolate chips in a metal bowl or double boiler
add half teaspoon of mint flavoring
add enough coconut to make a thick dryish consistency, press teaspoonfuls onto sheet of waxed paper on a cookie sheet. Put in fridge to set, be sure to make extra, to make up for the ones you eat before you put the tray in the fridge.
EAT!
Peppermint bark–no baking required
