Lets talk a min about runes coats! How do you get one? Well you anytime you breed one of the following eyes together you have a chance!
Runes Eyes:
Rune Citrine
Rune Erinite
Rune Fuchsia
Rune Indicolite
Rune Siam
Rune Tanzanite

If they are not on this link they wont count towards a Runes Horse!
