Amaretto Breedables Customer Connection

In October 2018, Amaretto released the 3.0 bird update in Barnyard birds which included 4 brand new breeds of chicken, the Sebright, White Laced Red Cornish, Sussex Bantam, and Black Australorp. These are all based on actual breeds that have distinct coloration. Three of the breeds came from England and one from Australia, although its roots are from England also.

The Sebright chicken is a British breed of bantam chicken. It is a true bantam – a miniature bird with no corresponding large version – and is one of the oldest recorded British bantam breeds. It is named after Sir John Saunders Sebright, who created it as an ornamental breed by selective breeding in the early nineteenth century. As a largely ornamental chicken, they lay tiny, white eggs and are not kept for meat production.

White Laced Red Cornish chickens originated in Cornwall, England from Red Aseels, Black Breasted Red Old English and Malays. … White Laced Red Cornish chicks are light red and white mixed on most of the body. The Cornish chicken will produce a very small amount of eggs over their lifetime because they weren’t bred for breakfast—they are a dinner bird for sure. However, the eggs they do lay are small and light brown.

The Sussex Bantam originated in Britain in around 1920 and is a dwarfed version of the Sussex. It has a rectangular body shape, medium long tail feathers, broad, deep breast, red earlobes and a featherless face. The comb is medium sized and single. These birds like most bantams lay white eggs.

he last breed introduced with the update was from Australia, the Black Austalorp. Developed from Black Orpingtons imported from England, the Australorp was bred for egg production without sacrificing too much in size and meat quality. Some sensational results were made in the Australian program with one hen setting a laying record of 364 eggs in 365 days. To this day, Black Australorps are still one of the best light brown egg layers of all the heavy breeds. They were introduced in the United States in the 1920s.

All four of these exciting breeds came out with the 3.0 update and can be gotten by breeding any bird with a starter bird or by breeding together two starter birds. The coats CAN be passed on.
