I’m Wild Abut Dogs

The African wild dog (Lycaon pictus) also called the African painted dog and the African hunting dog, is a wild canine which is a native species to sub-Saharan Africa. It is the largest wild canine in Africa, and the only extant member of the genus Lycaon, which is distinguished from Canis by dentition highly specialised for a hypercarnivorous diet, and by a lack of dewclaws.
The African wild dog exhibits one of the most varied coat colours among the mammals. Individuals differ in patterns and colours, indicating a diversity of the underlying genes.

The Dingo is an ancient lineage of dog found in Australia. Its taxonomic classification is debated; it is variously considered a form of domestic dog not warranting recognition as a subspecies; a subspecies of dog or wolf; or a full species in its own right. The dingo is a medium-sized canine that possesses a lean, hardy body adapted for speed, agility, and stamina. The dingo’s three main coat colorations are light ginger or tan, black and tan, or creamy white. Their habitat covers most of Australia, but they are absent in the southeast and Tasmania, and an area in the southwest.

These two kinds of wild dogs are very diverse. In 2012 amaretto introduced their own version of the wild dog. For the 2012 Holidays Amaretto released the Amaretto Special Edition 2012- Holiday K-9s at all Amaretto Locations! As an added twist that year for 24 hours starting December 20th Amaretto Retro Edition 2010 & 2011 Throwback Packs were sold. What made these even more special were the hidden surprises they held. By breeding any of these holiday K-9s (2012, Retro 2011) to each other you could unlock these hidden surprises. The In to the Wild K-9s were the hidden surprises! The In to the Wild K-9s CAN pass their Coat, Eyes & Collar!

I’m just wild about these Amaretto K-9s, with their perky curly tails and floppy ears. The coats are adorable. I hope you like them too!
