The Westminster Kennel Club has dog shows every year, where the best of the best in dog breeds are brought to strut their stuff, and represent their breeds to the country. Each breed competes in their own category, a winner is chosen, then those winners compete against each other hoping to be chosen Best in Show. It’s a fascinating look at just how many diverse breeds there are from countries all around the world, from the littlest Chihuahuas or Pomeranians to the largest Mastiffs or Great Danes. From pampered lap dogs to athletic working dogs, they all have a chance at the coveted trophy and blue ribbon. Last years winner was Wasabi the Pekingese, who won it all at the 2021 Westminster Dog Show at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, N.Y
Beginning June 5, 2012, Amaretto added the Best in Show K-9s to their line-up of dogs. Any kennel dropped from the breeding of any 2 Schnauzer K-9s had the chance at being a Best in Show Schnauzer. From that date til november of 2013 we’ve had 17 Best in Show dogs. The Best in Show coat Could NOT pass, but the eyes and collars COULD.
