Happy Thursday one and all! Today’s Spotlight holds a special slot, trait slot that is!  Yes that’s right today I’m shining the spotlight on those amazing placeholders called Nulls!

Nulls were introduced as a way to let breeders have the maximum number of traits on their breedable but have it still look the way they want it to look.  By using the Null traits to fill the slots of the traits you don’t want on your horse you can build yourself a highly traited horse that still looks like it has no traits!

The list below shows all the Null traits available for the horse and what each Null replaces.

Brand Null – Holds the place of Branding
Hair Gloom Null – Holds the place of Hair Gloom
Coat Gloom Null – Holds the place of Coat Gloom
Hair Chill Null – Holds the place of Hair Chill
Coat Chill Null – Holds the place of Coat Chill
Hair Warmth Null – Holds the place of Hair Warmth
Coat Warmth Null – Holds the place of Coat Warmth
Hair Blush Null – Holds the place of Hair Blush
Coat Blush Null – Holds the place of Coat Blush
Hair Haze Null – Holds the place of Hair Haze
Coat Haze Null – Holds the place of Coat Haze
Hair Hue Null – Holds the place of Hair Hue
Coat Hue Null – Holds the place of Coat Hue
Hair Luster Null – Holds the place of Hair Luster
Coat Luster Null – Holds the place of Coat Luster
Hair Gleam Null – Holds the place of Hair Gleam
Coat Gleam Null – Holds the place of Coat Gleam
Hair Opal Null – Holds the place of Hair Opal
Coat Opal Null – Holds the place of Coat Opal

Wing Null – Holds the place of Wings

Ear Style Null- Holds the place of Droop, Half Droop Left, and Half Droop Right
Racing Null – Holds the place of racing stamina
Racing Null – Holds the place of racing speed

Remember that not all the Nulls listed can be on one horse at the same time.  The current maximum that a horse can have at one time is 15 nulls.

Ear Size Null – Holds the place of Small or Large Ears
Size Null – Holds the place of Runt or Pick
Nose Null – Holds the place of Black Spotted, Pale, Liver Spotted, and Liver Nose
Tail Null – Holds the place of Long or Short tail
Polish Null – Holds the place of Paw Polish
Radiance Null – Holds the place of High or Low Radiance
Sheen Null – Holds the place of High or Low Sheen
Tint Null – Holds the place of Periwinkle, Lilac, Mint, Rose, Sunset, and Sunrise

The current maximum that a K-9 can have at one time is 8 Nulls.

So I hope this help to understand what the nulls are and how it’s easy to use them to get that special horse to look just the way you want it too and still have the maximum number of traits.
