Some Important Advise

First, it is important to talk about purchases made from Amaretto.

When you first purchase your new starters or any special LE’sor SE’s from Amaretto, It is very Important that once you birth them, give them a name. This will help us to find any horses/k-9’s that maybe didn’t birth properly for you. It is really almost impossible to find your horses/ k-9’s when they are all named Amaretto breedable horse/ K-9. Please remember to try and name all of your horses and k-9’s something different. If you have to, use numbers in the name.

Also your transaction history is very Important Everytime you buy or sell items, or even give items to someone, or get items from some one, even if it is for 0L a transaction history is made.

When you send a ticket about duplicated or lost items that you have recently purchased, we may be asking for a transaction history to verify your purchase or exchange, if it becomes necessary. To speed up the answer to your ticket, please include this when you file.

Your transaction history also helps in knowing when and how much foods and consummables that you purchased that may have dissappeared or not rezzed properly.

You ask, Where do I find my transaction history? The answer is simple, at the top of your screen you will see the word WORLD, left click, then left click on account history, and find your transaction. Then copy that and paste onto your ticket.

Name ALL your Horses/K-9s, Bundles and Kennels:

Second Life has many lag issues, that can cause duplication of breedables, disappearance of breedables, or incomplete transfer of breedables. Having your breedable named can be very helpful especially when SL eats you Horse or K-9. We need information to remake your breedable. What we need is the Name of breedable and/or UUID number. If you leave you horse or K-9 as Amaretto Breedable Horse or Amaretto Breedable K-9 it can make it harder to find and sometimes impossible. The same goes for kennels and bundles

.

We can only replace, remake your item if we have the information, so please take the time to name all your breedables.

Names can be as simple as using a number. It will also help you keep track and know when you are missing a horse or K-9. example (White Walker Female, White Walker Female 2, White Walker Female 3)or for bundles and kennels BW/Gar/LL/DblGloom, BWGar/LL DBLGloom 2

When you get a bundle or kennel and you decide not to birth it, name it before you take it into your inventory. Lets say a few weeks down the road you decide to birth that bundle, and the horse stays white and doesn’t birth. or you go to rez it out and it dissapears. You probably dont remember who the parents of the bundle were, but if you have named the bundle and paid attention to the bundle name before you clicked birth, you now have some information to give us that can help in finding out about that bundle. Again try and make the names different, even by using a number. You can start naming your bundles/kennels by starting with a number and then naming the bundles in the next number order (1 BW/Gar/LL/BblGloom, 2 BW/Gar/LL/DblGloom, Etc)

Please understand that we know how frustrating it is when something goes wrong, but if you follow these simple things, it will make it more easier to fix them and get everything back like it should be.

It was a dark and grim night. A thick black mist crept threw the land that had been taken over by the Charmed Demon horses. This dense haze had been sent down from the Amaretto Gods with one intention, to forever banish the Charmed Demon horses!

This had all came to be days before. The word around this dreary land was that the Lord of the Charmed Demon horses had evil plans to take over and rule forever. For the longest time their devious scheme had gone unknown to the Amaretto Gods. However, betrayal is a wicked thing. The Lord of the Demons had broken promises to the wrong civilian.  This villager, who no longer had much to lose, went under the cover of darkness to the Gods and let them know of the Lord’s intentions. The decision was then made to send this deadly murk through the land. The last of the Charmed Demon horses to be exiled was the Lord of the Demon Horses. As he struggled to fight his inevitable fate, his voice was heard shouting an unforgettable message. It’s a message that is said to be heard amongst the gusting winds and is louder than ever on the cold chilly nights. “You take us down now! Forget the Demons not, for we will be avenged!” Even though these bone chilling words still echo through the minds of the Amaretto Gods, they believed their land was forevermore free of this evil. Until ….

Many years had come and past, but this year the seasons were unusually harsh.  During the winter the ground was covered with ice and the crops had succumbed to the frost. Famine had overtaken the entire village. Many nights the air was so cold some did not survive. The Amaretto Gods knew this was not normal. Rumors had begun to flood the village. Was this the revenge of the Lord of the Demon horses? The Amaretto Gods had ignored such rumors for some time. It wasn’t until after the abnormally harsh winter had past and the summer came with a vengeance. The summer heat was unbearable. The scorching sun beat down on the village. What crops had survived the bitter cold winter were drying up and shriveling into nothing. Many of the village folk were becoming ill. Dehydration took the lives of many. The Amaretto Gods knew this was not an act of nature. They feared the worse. They knew they would soon be faced with a horrible force.

One somber night a noise could be heard in the distance. It was a deafening creaking sound, the sound of freezing sleet. The villagers all rushed to the streets only to stand and watch in cursed astonishment. The town sirens were sounded.  The Amaretto Gods scurried to see what the uproar was about, only to see a thick blanket of ice crawling toward the village. The Gods tried everything within their powers to stop the ice but nothing could stop it. Then … to the amazement of the Gods and the villagers, the creeping frozen glaze had come to a halt. There was an eerie silence that fell upon the land. As they stood and stared in fright, a crashing rumble was heard in the distant skies. A wave of terror quickly swept through the land again. Chaos broke out as everyone scattered to find shelter. As the booming sound was heard once more, there was a blinding glow coming from the horizon. A blaze was now rushing toward the village. The blanket of ice started to melt and quickly started to boil. The scalding liquid flowed through the streets taking down everything in its path. The Amaretto Gods were helpless. They could do nothing more than watch in shear horror as the entire village was destroyed. Once again a deathly calm had come over the ravaged land. The Gods then dropped to the ground clutching their ears. What was this ear-piercing sound? As they slowly looked up, a thick smoke had manifested before them. They could see two shadows emerging from the haze. The Gods rubbed their eyes in disbelief. Could this be? The demons were banished from the land. The Gods could then hear two distinct voices chanting. A bone chilling voice was heard repeating “You thought you took us down…” as another blazing voice echoed “Forget the Demons not, for we HAVE been avenged!”

A Few New Features For The Horses

Hello Everyone!

Today I want to talk about a few things that went out with the horse update. As you know the menu has changed some, I want to explain them to you and let you know which one does what.

First I would like to talk about the custom Name Feature… You get to this by first clicking on the horse, then Settings, and then Name, and then you see where you can Rename, Custom, and Clear Custom.    You can set your Custom name which will appear under the name of the horse. The custom name field is limited to the same amount of characters as the Name field, 32 characters.   If you decide you want to take the Custom Name off just click the Clear Custom this will make the field clear and go away from the set text.

Second I would like to talk about the Last Bundle button. To get to this button click on the horse, then Breeding, and then Last Bundle.  This will only work after your horse has been updated and then has a bundle.

The text will look similar to the following-

The last bundle dropped by this horse was Amaretto Breedable Bundle with the ID of 523c4792-cbd8-e7a9-4715-dfc182fe0d1f. If the bundle has been named if will show the Name of the bundle and UUID. This button will ONLY work if you own the horse when the bundle drops it will not tell you the last bundle if someone else owned the horse at time of birth.

Last but not least… Something that you all have wanted for a while the Last Bred button… to get to this button you click the horse, then breeding, and then Last Bred. Once you press the Last Bred button you will see something like the following:

The latest horse partner was Amaretto Breedable Horse with the ID of cf47e555-9ffc-7600-292e-57161c336848. This too will only work if you owned the horses at the time of the breeding not if you bought them from someone else.

I hope this clears up any confusion!

Until next time….

Bouncing Horses

Hello everyone! So I’ve noticed in the group that people have been talking about sleeping horses that bounce.. This is how to fix this step by step…

Step One

Push your keyboard back, your mouse and anything that you don’t want to knock over. It really bites when you’ve got your bounce on and you knock over your coffee, tea, coke, pepsi or whatever your prefered drink is.

Step Two

Stand up and push your chair out of the way. This is another hazard when getting your bounce on. Nothing worse than tripping over you chair. If you do… …Just hope nobody is watching and if someone does see you trip over your chair, give them that look as to ask “How did that get there”

Step Three

Just start bouncing up and down. You will find after moments of doing this your will start to smile! Before you know it your jumping up and down full of joy… Now depending on your fitness level… You will start to get tired after seconds or minutes… All depends… Which brings us to

Step Four

Now hopefully your horses were watching you jump up and down with glee and that your exhaustion has somewhat tired them out. Its hoped that this will tucker out your awesome bouncing horses and they will just stop bouncing…

IF ALL ELSE FAILS

Use your GPS to turn off movements, animations and reset home. Alternatively, you can perform this on each individual horse through its menu.

This will fix your bouncing horses.

P.S. if you actually got up from your chair to jump up and down… PLEASE PLEASE send me a photo of you doing this.

P.S.S Amaretto assumes no liablity in any injuries that may result in bouncing up and down.

As always this connection was brought to you by the Letter L and the Number 10

Hey guys its monday!! I bet you didnt see this comming but its time to update those horses!!! I have included a picture of the new food as well!

***IMPORTANT NOTE***After Thursday February 15, 2012 we will NO longer provide support for horses that are NOT v3.2*** So please update your horses!!!!

Update v3.2 Fixes/Changes:

Fixes:

1. Fixed the issue with Fell Pony being deformed.

2. Fixed the issue with riding horses that were age 7.

3. API now includes branding and opal traits.

4. Mule eyes fixed.

Changes:

1. We have “Put Out to Pasture” (retired) the following Coats:
Arabian- All Colors
Mustang – All Colors
Charmed Pegasus

2. We have “Put Out to Pasture” (retired) the following Albino eyes:
Multi Blue/Pink Hazel
Multi Green/Blue Hazel
Yin Yang

3. We have “Put Out to Pasture” (retired) the following Starter eyes:
White
Dark Brown
Light Brown

4. We have “Put Out to Pasture” (retired) the following Non-Starter eyes:
Diamond
Diamond Heartshine
Diamond Starshine

** PLEASE NOTE** “Put Out to Pasture” (retired) means these will no longer be birthed from starter horses, they can ONLY be birthed from existing horses already on the grid that carry these traits.

5. We have added “set home” and “keep home” to G.P.S. (Global Pony Settings) device for the Horses. With these settings you can keep the home position as it is before using the G.P.S. or you can change it to the new position of the horse when G.P.S. is activated.

6. Have added an “enable” and “disable” button to the menu of the salt licks. (disable instead of putting it into inventory when not in use).

7. The breedable and pet food is now one prim. (the old 2 prim food will still work as well)

8. Added Last Bred button to the horse menu (button in the menu when clicked will show last horse it mated with, name and uuid).

9. Last Bundle button (button in the menu when clicked will show last bundle uuid birthed by this horse).

11. Changed Hunger and Thirst to Nourishment in the hover text.

12. Added option for horse to go to home position when sleep animation is active. (this will happen only if animations and movement are on)

13. Added a Custom Name Field to the hover text. (can add and clear this field by using the menu-settings-name buttons in the menu)

14. Added owners name to the hover text.

Somethings you need to know about the updater:

1. It will not work if there is more than one updater out. It gives you a message that there are 2 updaters out please remove one. If you continue to try and update your horse It will give you another error message and have you pick one updater up and reset the other. (touch and wait 5 seconds to reset)

2. It will not update pregnant horses. The reason being the updater can potentially abort the pregnancy. Waiting to update your pregnant horses will not effect the horses functions, they will continue to eat, move, animate etc. When they give birth to the bundle, then you can update them. The bundle will be the old version and need to be updated when birthed.

3. The updater will not work on sims with a high load. Dilation needs to be above .65 and region fps must be above 25 for the updater to work. You will get an error message that says the sim dilation is too low, we have enclosed a sim monitor that will display these values for you. Just rez on your sim next to the updater.

Update Instructions:

Single Updater: Place the updater near the horse that isn’t updated and click the horse and click the update button. The horse will be updated and the settings will be the same as before the update process. ***DO NOT PICK UP HORSES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

Bulk Updater: Place the bulk updater in the middle of your horse breeding area, click the updater and adjust the settings you want your horses to be set to after the update process, then click the update horses button on the updater menu. This updater has the ability to update all horses that are not v3.2 in an entire region. However, depending on sim performance it may only do the horses in a 96 meter radius. Do not remove the updater until it has completed updating all horses and the hover text above the updater reads FINISHED. ***DO NOT PICK UP HORSES OR THE UPDATER UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETED THE UPDATE PROCESS***

Happy updating everyone as always if you have a problem please file a ticket @ http://support.amarettobreedables.com

Focus on Forever Foal

Hello again all…. I am going to go over all information about the Forever Foal certificate that is available for retired Amaretto Breedable horses….. Below is a list of important need to know information….

**ONE Forever Foal Gift Certificate per ONE Horse**

The Forever Foal makes the Retired horse so that it will not require food/water any more.

All other normal functions for a RETIRED horse will still operate normally.

Hover text will say Pet instead of Retired.

This ONLY works for Retired horses

(Retired Horse= a horse that is greater than 120 days old)

This can be used for both male and female Retired horses.

**The Forever Foal Certificate will be sold in all Amaretto Store locations**

**IMPORTANT NOTE**
Although the Forever Foal is transferable, the Forever Foal certificate MUST be turned in by the purchaser ONLY. The reason this is a requirement is because every Forever Foal certificate is checked against our transaction data base. Once a Forever Foal certificate is redeemed by the purchaser it is marked as Redeemed and becomes void. The reason we have the certificate as transferable is so the purchaser may pass the certificate to Jaymee Caproni for redemption. Again, please remember, the certificates cannot be purchased and transferred to another avatar for redemption. I will not be able to redeem the certificate, and it will be returned.

Instructions:

After purchase of the Forever Foal

Please place the Certificate AND the Retired horse you wish to be your Forever Foal in a folder named “Forever Foal <your sl name>”

Send the folder to Jaymee Caproni. (MEEEEE )

I will work my magic and return the horse to you in a folder named “Forever Foal from Jaymee Caproni”

PLEASE follow these instructions so that the process goes as smoothly as possible.

***ONCE A RETIRED HORSE IS TURNED INTO A FOREVER FOAL IT CAN NOT BE TURNED BACK***

Also, please remember….

The Forever Foal is an OPTION….

If you do not want to purchase it, don’t. You can continue to feed your retired horses’ pet food

That option has not changed.
