Happy Thursday! We had a great time at the fishing event today, congrats to all the winners!

I wanted to talk to you all today about one of the greatest tools that Amaretto offers, the GPS!

What does GPS stand for and where can you get one? Well each breedable has its own GPS so I will tell you what each one stands for:

For the horses – GPS stands for Global Pony Settings and you can pick one up at any of the Amaretto Ranch Breedables Horse store locations.

For the K-9’s – GPS.stands for Global Pup Settings and you can get one at all of our Amaretto Ranch Breedables K9 store locations.

For the Barnyard Birds – GPS.stands for Global Peck’n Sort and this can be found at all Amaretto Ranch Breedables Barnyard Bird store locations.

Now once you pick up your GPS from the store you want to start by opening the box to your inventory. Locate the GPS in your inventory and rez to the ground in world. Click the GPS and you will get a drop down blue menu with the following options

Set Range – this will set the range of your breedables

Activate – After you have chosen all your settings, click this to activate your settings

(If your text setting is left in the on position, you will probably notice the text on your breedables will go off and then come back on.)

Home Set- this button is to decide to keep the Home setting where it was or tell the GPS to reset the home on your breedables

Text Off- this button is to turn off all text above your breedables

Sounds On- this button is to turn on the sounds your breedables makes

Sounds Off- this button is to turn off the sounds your breedables makes

Anims On- this button is to turn the animations of your breedables on

Anims Off- this button is to turn the animations of your breedables off

Text On- this button is to turn on all text above your breedables

Move Physic- this button is to set your breedables movement to physical

(While set to Physical, your breedables will not walk through other objects)

Move Phant- this button is to your breedables movement to phantom

(While set to phantom, Phantom your breedables will walk through other objects)

Move Off- this button is to set your breedables movement to off

Once you have set all settings to your wants and needs you simply click the Activate button and your settings will then take place!

The GPS will apply the settings you choose to all rezzed Horses, K9s, or Barnyard Birds on your sim. The GPS works sim wide. If you have horses, k9s, and birds you must use the breed specific GPS to set their settings. There is not a universal GPS that works on all three breedables. Also, I’d like to mention, if you have special projects that have special settings, please remember this when using the GPS as it does apply the settings to ALL rezzed horses, k9s, and birds.

I hope everyone now understands the GPS and how it works. It is a very hand tool!

St. Patrick’s Day Surprises!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!
Hope you are enjoying this very green holiday!

I know that most of you have seen them in the main group and heard the chatter but I wanted to confirm. It started at 12:01 this morning until 11:59 tonight any breeding from your Horses, K-9s, and Barnyard Birds have the ability to get a very special Shamrock Eye! All of these eyes DO have the ability to pass! Take a look at these eyes:

Wait thats not all! The horses have another hidden surprise in them! The shamrock wing! These green wing matches the green bridle perfectly! I wonder if someone did that on purpose? Anyways take a look at this wing and remember it too also has the ability to pass!

Hellloooooo Amaretto! Its a lazy Sunday but boy do I have lots if information to share with you!

Have you heard about the 23rd trait being a horn? Well here is a picture of all 4 horns that were released!! Remember the only way to get this horn is by breeding two Limited Edition – Valentine Treasure horses together! Remember this as well that if the offspring of the Limited Edition – Valentine Treasure horses doesnt show the 23rd trait, it will not pass it on later. Here is a picture of the following horns: Shadow, Bloom, Spirit, and Heart! These horns do have the ability to pass!

Now for my K-9 lovers, you guys got some suprises too! 3 new nose colors! Thats right Cherry, Grape, and Coconut! These new noses colors DO have the ability to pass!

If that wasn’t enough well last month was the last release of Awareness Eyes! Can you believe its been a year already? Well you can check out all 12 awareness eyes on the wiki here:

So kicking off our new line of random monthly eyes is the Medical Appreciation Eye! You can get the Medical Appreciation Eye from 3/1 to 3/31 randomly from any breeding as long as your horses are version 4.0

23rd Trait Madness!

Hey guys! How is everyone today? Well im doing great! Thanks for asking, anyways i know you guys have been waiting on pins and needles to see the 23rd trait!

Well here it is the horn!! Here are the two that I managed to snap a pic of in world!

Presenting to you Horn Bloom and Horn Shadow! Who knows what else is on its way!

Remember guys that if your le’s do not pass the trait to the off spring, the off spring will not have the horn as a hidden! The horn does have the ability to pass on!

I know a few of you are wondering where you get your horn? Well there is still time! Thats right the Valentine LE’s are still available until tomorrow! . Here’s the catch, In order to have a chance at getting this 23rd trait you must breed 2 2014 Valentine Limited Edition horses together. So, if you want a chance for a horn you must breed 2 2014 Valentine LEs together. The 2014 Valentine Limited Edition Horses will be sold for $895L.
So if you haven’t yet or want more chances head out to any Amaretto location and get yours before they are gone!!!

Feeding Horses

Amaretto offers two types of food for the horses

1. Breedable Food- This is the food you must use if you wish to breed your horses.

2, Pet Food- you can use this type if you do not want to breed your horse, or if the horse is retired. If you decide to breed your horse after feeding it Pet Food, it will take 7 days on Breeder Food for the effects of the Pet Food to wear off.

Feeding your horses is very simple.

1. Rez your horses and set their home position and range, If you forget to set the range, the horses default range is 5m

2. Rez you food ou near the home position area, and within the range area you set your horses to.

3. Make sure that the food is set to the same group as your horses..So often the food is in one group and the horse in another. The food is set to feed only those in the same group and before you know it you have sick horses.

Food can be set to Group only, Owner only, or all.

1.Owner only: Will only be consumed by the owners’ horses.

2. Group only: Will only be consumed by horses in the same group as the Breedable food is set to.

3.All: Any horse within range of the Breedable food will be able to consume it.

Amaretto suggests that you only have 8 horses set to one food.

How much does a horse eat?

Here is a chart that shows how much food it takes to feed x number of horses

1 horse ~ 1 food/4 weeks

2 horses ~ 1 food/2 weeks

4 horses ~ 1 food/7 days

7 horses ~ 1 food/4 days

8 horses ~ 2 food/7 days

14 horses ~ 1 food/2 days

28 horses ~ 1 food/day

56 horses ~ 2 food/day

84 horses ~ 3 food/day

112 horses ~ 4 food/day

My horse is not eating!

If you see your horse is at say 10% nourishment, it’s time to swing into action! First thing is to double check all the things mentioned above. If all of that looks correct, try picking your horse up into inventory and then rezzing it out again. Sometimes that’s all it takes. However sometimes your horse is not eating because there is no food available or within range. Be sure to double check that you have food out and it’s within range.

My horse is 100% nourishment.

Your horse can and will eat itself out of sickness. It will take 3 days for your horse to do this

Amaretto Museum

Happy Friday Everyone!! Hope you’re all having a good breeding day!

Today I wanted to talk to you today about the Amaretto Museum located on the ARU sim. Yes I know this is where we have classes, but did you know we also have many of the older and newer breedables in the Amaretto Museum. They are on display if you would like to visit and see them.
The University sim itself is beautiful but the Museum is so much fun to walk thru and remember back to all the different Amaretto Horses that have been released since September 2010 when Amaretto took the grid by storm! If that’s not enough to take in please don’t forget to walk around the K-9 and Barnyard Bird areas, you’re sure to find some cute breedables there too!
I like to go to the Museum and look at all the Amaretto Horses there and then go out into the community and look around. It’s fun to see just what you guys have done with the traits to make each of the horses look so unique and fun! It’s also great to see the way the different coats look with various traits.
So take the time to go check out the Amaretto Museum then go walk around the Breedable markets and let your imagination run wild!

Breeding an Pairing Amaretto Horses

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day!

Today I would like to talk about breeding an pairing your Amaretto Horses.

Now choose 2 horses that your wish to pair each other to.
First make sure they are male and female.
Second make sure they are the same version.
Third make sure they are both 7 days or older in age.
Fourth make sure they are not sleeping.
Now if you have checked all this lets pair 2 horses.

You would first click on one of the horses you wish to pair.
You decided to choose Tom and Mary they are special horses,
Ok first you would click on Tom.

On the main menu you will see breeding click on that tab.

When it opens you will see pairing click on that tab in local it will ask you to say the name of the horse you wish to pair to.

Example: You want to pair it to Mary in local chat you would type in the name Mary

You will get a drop down menu asking you to confirm or cancel you will choose confirm.

When they are paired in local you will see something like this
Tom is now paired with Mary.

The hover text above the paired horses will change to show the pairing.
Pairing will automatically be broken once they breed.

Now you have paired 2 horses together they will only breed to each other.

Now let’s talk a little about the conditions of breeding horses.
1. They both must be the same version.
2. They need to be at least 7 days old or more to breed together.
3. They need to have fervor at 100%, the fervor begins to rise after they are 7 and the happiness is over 75%.

Forever Foal & Perpetual Puppy

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is having a good breeding day !

Today I wanted to touch on the Forever Foal and the Perpetual Puppy. If you have an Amaretto Horse or Amaretto K-9 that is special and you want to keep it forever without feeding it then this is what you will need.

Forever Foal
The Forever Foal makes the Retired horse so that It will not have to eat food any more . You can keep it forever without buying food ! Everything else on the horse will work normally just will not need food. The Forever Foal only works on retired horses 120 days old that is retired.
The text on a forever foal will say pet instead of retired.
The Forever Foal can be found in any Amaretto Store.

Perpetual Puppy
The Perpetual Puppy makes a Spayed/Neutered K-9 no longer eats food it works just like the forever foal.
The Perpetual Puppy has to be over 126 days old female or male. Text will also say Pet instead of Spayed/Neutered
The Perpetual Puppy can be found in any of the K-9’s Stores
