V for Vivacity!

Hi all! Last week I covered happiness in the horses and K9s so today I am going to talk to you about keeping your Barnyard Bird’s vivacity up! I will briefly cover how to keep those birdies smiling!

Unlike the Horses and K9s, vivacity does play a role in breeding. Not only does vivacity need to be 85% or higher for vigor to build but it in order for your Barnyard Bird to breed it must have 85% or higher vivacity coupled with 100% vigor.

Ok now on to keeping that vivacity up…

To raise a bird’s vivacity and keep it up you need to use Orange Rinds. These are used to build the vivacity of your Barnyard Bird!

To use the Orange Rinds:

  1. Rez box in world
  2. Right click and chose open, the items will appear in a folder in your inventory.
    • If you look in recent items you will see a folder named Orange Rinds.
  3. Rez the Orange Rinds on the ground within the range of the Barnyard Birds.
  4. The Orange Rinds give a gradual boost to vivacity slowly over time.
  5. When the Orange Rinds are completely used up they will disappear.

Another way to quickly increase the vivacity is to use the Vivacity Corns. This will increase one of your bird’s vivacity by 15%. This stat booster can only be used on a bird once in a 24 hour period.

  1. Open boxed Vivacity Corn and rez next to the bird you wish to increase the vivacity.
  2. Click the bird and go to the consumables option on the menu.
  3. Find Vivacity Corn from the options on the menu and click it.

So be sure to keep those Barnyard Bird’s vivacity above 85% to breed some amazing nests!

Until next time….

Today I am going to talk to you about keeping your Horses and K9s happy! I will briefly cover each breedable and how to keep those animals smiling!

Let me start out by saying Happiness in your Horses and K9s pertains to breeding only. If you do not intend on breeding your animals they do not have to be happy.

Ok now on to keeping them happy…

Let’s first start with horses….

The most convenient way to raise a horse’s happiness and keep it up is using Salt Licks. The Salt Lick helps to increase the happiness of the horse. It can be used when you are trying to increase the Fervor of the horse for breeding. The Salt Lick gives a 1% increase in happiness over time. One Salt Lick last 2 horses 2 weeks.

To use a Salt Lick

1. Open boxed Salt Lick and rez close to the horses you wish to increase the happiness. For the horses to use the Salt Lick it needs to be within their set range, just as the food and water is.

2. Click the Salt Lick to set options for Owner only, Group only, or All.

  • Owner only: Will only be consumed by the owners horses.
  • Group only: Will only be consumed by horses in the same group as the Salt Lick is set to.
  • All: Any horse within range of the Salt Lick will be able to consume it.

Once the Salt Lick has been completely consumed it will disappear.

The other way to increase a horse’s happiness is to ride a horse. Riding a horse is not only an enjoyable time for you but it is always a great way to increase the happiness on your horse. Please make note that even though it does raise your horse’s happiness, your horse also tires easier. Your horse must age 7 and above to ride your horse.

Ok, let’s move on to keeping those K9 happy!

The most convenient way to raise a K9’s happiness and keep it up is using Chew Toys. The Chew Toys help to increase the happiness of the K9. It can be used when you are trying to increase the Heat of the horse for breeding. The Chew Toy gives a 1% increase in happiness over time. One Chew Toy last 2 K9s 2 weeks.

To use a Chew Toy

  1. Open boxed Amaretto Brand Chew Toy and rez close to the K-9’s you wish to increase the happiness. For the K-9’s to use the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy it needs to be within their set range, just as the food and water is.
  2. Click the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy to set options for Owner only, Group only, or All.
  • Owner only: Will only be consumed by the owners K-9’s.
  • Group only: Will only be consumed by K-9’s in the same group as the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy is set to.
  • All: Any K-9 within range of the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy will be able to consume it.

Once the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy has been completely consumed it will disappear.

You can also increase your K9s happiness by playing with your K9. To play with your K9 it must be connected to the K9 HUD. While the K-9 is attached to the HUD they receive a boost in Happiness. This is an incremental increase that will rise as long as the K-9 stays attached to the HUD.

To use the K9 HUD

1.Wear the HUD – It will attach to your screen in the upper left corner

2.Touch the K-9 you want to interact with and chose HUD from the Blue Menu

3.Touch the Connect button on the HUD – It will confirm in local which K-9 is connected to the HUD

4.Now you can choose to have your K-9 do one of the activities listed on the HUD

Come, Stay, Follow

I hope this helps make you and your Horse and K9s happy! Until next time…. Happy Breeding!

Happy Happy Thursday everyone! Today has been a wonderful day! This morning we had a amazing Spring Fling event lead by Karrie and Ava. We talked and danced as we listened to awesome tunes spun by Miss Dakota. What fun it was!! Be sure to check out our calendar for more  exciting upcoming Amaretto events! As for my Customer Connection, I want to take a moment to go over one of our amazing and handy tools that I feel is a must have when raising and breeding Amaretto breedables. This nifty tool is called the GPS. I am going to answer a few common questions about the GPS and go over the basics of this tool as it is pretty much the same for all 3 breedables, Horses, K9, or birds.

What does GPS stand for and where can you get one?

For Horses:

GPS stands for Global Pony Settings and you can pick one up at any of the Amaretto Ranch Breedables Horse store locations.

For K9s:

GPS. stands for Global Pup Settings and you can get one at all of our Amaretto Ranch Breedables K9 store locations.

For Barnyard Birds:

GPS. stands for Global Peck’n Sort and this can be found at all Amaretto Ranch Breedables Barnyard Bird store locations.

I picked up a GPS … now what do I do? How do I use it?

  1. First you want to start by opening the box to your inventory. Locate the GPS in your inventory and rez to the ground in world.
  2. Click the GPS and you will get a drop down blue menu with the following options

Set Range – this will set the range of your breedables

Activate – After you have chosen all your settings, click this to activate your settings

(If your text setting is left in the on position, you will probably notice the text on your breedables will go off and then come back on.)

Home Set- this button is to decide to keep the Home setting where it was or tell the GPS to reset the home on your breedables

Text Off- this button is to turn off all text above your breedables

Sounds On- this button is to turn on the sounds your breedables makes

Sounds Off- this button is to turn off the sounds your breedables makes

Anims On- this button is to turn the animations of your breedables on

Anims Off- this button is to turn the animations of your breedables off

Text On- this button is to turn on all text above your breedables

Move Physic- this button is to set your breedables movement to physical

(While set to Physical, your breedables will not walk through other objects)

Move Phant- this button is to your breedables movement to phantom

(While set to phantom, Phantom your breedables will walk through other objects)

Move Off- this button is to set your breedables movement to off

  1. Once you have set all settings to your wants and needs you simply click the Activate button and you settings will then take place!

And for our last common question…

When I click Activate on the GPS will it work on all my breedables on my sim?

The answer is Yes! The GPS will apply the settings you choose to all rezzed Horses, K9s, or Barnyard Birds on your sim. The GPS works sim wide. If you have horses, k9s, and birds you must use the breed specific GPS to set their settings. There is not a universal GPS that works on all three breedables. Also, I’d like to mention, if you have special projects that have special settings, please remember this when using the GPS as it does apply the settings to ALL rezzed horses, k9s, and birds.

I hope everyone now understands the GPS and how it works. It is a very hand tool, especially for when a herd of 10 breedables becomes and sim wide farm of 100s!

Happy breeding and GPS setting to everyone!!

Until next time……

Hello and Happy Thursday to everyone! Today I am going to take a moment to talk to you about the Last Bundle and Last Bred buttons on the menu. This button is a very useful tool and I think it is very under used. Let me give you an example of how useful this button can be… Let’s say you log on one day and quickly head over to check your bundles you got while you were offline… you get to one of your favorite horses and to your dismay the bundle underneath it has a bright red error message over it reading “Mother Had Second Bundle In 3 Days” and you didn’t already receive a good bundle! What?! Noooo! Now, thanks to Linden Labs, it is ticket time! Now here is where that button comes in handy. You can simply follow these simple steps and get the UUID of the last bundle they had (or should’ve had in the case of the “Mother had second bundle”) I am using a horse in this post as an example but this applies to K9 and Barnyard Birds as well…

To get the last bundle of a horse, K9, or Bird

  1. Click on the breedable to bring up the Main Menu
  2. From the Main Menu select the Breeding button
  3. From there you select Last Bundle

You will see in local chat something that looks like this:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: The last bundle dropped by this horse was Amaretto Breedable Bundle with the ID of 1caf7404-XXXX-fe7f-9e4e-2ebXXXf5587

If the horse is has not had any bundles you will see the following in local chat:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: This horse hasn’t had any bundles yet.

If the horse was not owned by you when the last bundle dropped you will see the following in local chat:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: You did not own this horse when its last bundle was born

I would also like to add, if you click on a male horse, they get kind of touchy if you ask what their last bundle is. They will tell you the following in local chat… *giggles*

[17:30] Amaretto Breedable Horse: I’m a male, I don’t give birth!

Now that we have covered the Last Bundle, Let’s cover the Last Bred button…

Let me give you an example of when the Last Bred button comes in handy, say you have lost a bundle… it’s time to file a ticket… but all you remember is the mother and the CSR is asking for parent info… you can click this button on the mother and it will give you the last horse she bred to in local chat.

To get the last bred to information of a horse, K9, or Bird simply following these instructions:

  1. Click on the breedable to bring up the Main Menu
  2. From the Main Menu select the Breeding button
  3. From there you select the Last Bred button

You will see in local chat something that looks like this:

[17:30] ~Mr Wild Mustang Clydes~: The latest horse partner was ~Ms Pretty Little Lady~ with the ID of c07e698a-f7f7-5e40-XXX-82c38622XXXX

If the horse has not bred yet you will see the following in local chat:

[17:31] Amaretto Breedable Horse: This horse hasn’t been bred yet.

If the horse was not owned by you when the last horse last bred you will see the following in local chat:

[17:29] Amaretto Breedable Horse: You did not own this horse when it was last bred.

So you see these two buttons can be very handy, especially when it comes to making your ticket process goes smoother. I hope everyone has a better understanding of these nifty little buttons and utilizes them when needed!

Happy breeding…. Until next time….

Well visit the Haven sim now and spend them!!
I have included a picture of the bird sanctuary!

birdSanctuary

So you when you visit you can click the Henny Pennies sign in the birds mouth and it will tell you how many Henny Pennies you have saved up!
Here is a list of what you can buy with your Pennies:

Pet Pellets Six (Boxed) 18000
Poultry Glow Single (Boxed) 10000
High Potency Seeds Single (Boxed) 8000
Hen Booster Pack Single (Boxed) 75000
Rooster Booster Pack Single (Boxed) 75000

So save up those Henny Pennies and visit the haven sim to spend them! Alright well happy breeding everyone!!

First I would like to list for you some of the things that can cause duplication of your breedables

1. Lag

2. Sim Restarts

3. Sim Rollbacks

4. Crashes

5. sometimes during updating

Second if you find a breedable in your inventory and you know that you already have it out, you can right click on the item in inventory, look in the description field and compare the numbers from that with your breedables number. If you set it out and you already have it out, both copies will duplicate.

Third when SL does a sim Rollback, it takes the sim back to a previous state. If you have recently purchased a horse/k-9/bird from someone, and the sim where you purchased the breedable from has a rollback, it can create a duplicate issue., maybe even someone else has come along and also purchased the same breedable. This is why we ask for transaction history. If this happens you can contact the seller for refund. Please don’t just assume they are selling duplicates on purpose. Talk to the seller. Things can be worked through.

Now here is what you need to do if you have a duplicated breedable.

1. File a ticket on the support site http://support.amarettobreedables.com/index.php.

be sure to include as much information as you can. The name and UUID of the breedable is the best pieces of information that you can provide. You only need to file 1 ticket. Please do not file multiple tickets for the same

issue.

2.If you recently purchased your breedable please provide the full transaction record with date, time, region etc., for your purchase. This can be found on your dashboard on the Secondlife.com website under transaction history.

A. Transaction History is very IMPORTANT! When the CSR looks up the breedable on the server if you do not show as owner of the breedable we can’t return it to you! This is for all of our customer’s protection we don’t want anyone to just give us a uuid and say the breedable is theirs when it’s really not!

3. After you have filed a ticket, you will be asked by a CSR to send in all copies of the duplicated breedable in a FOLDER.. When sending folders to the csr, make sure your name and ticket id is on the folder.

4. If a CSR needs more information, they will make a request for it in the ticket you filed. So when you reply to a request don’t send replies to tickets in IM or notecards, reply to your ticket in your ticket!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
Let’s talk about how important it is to renaming your Horses, K-9’s, Barnyard Birds, Kennels, Nest, Bundles.

When Sl has a rollback sometimes things can happen like losing your breedables or passing a breedable to a friend. When this happens it is hard or could be impossible for us to find your breedable.

You may want to remember to log the uuid of any breedable you own that way you have the information we will need.
Names can be simple as a number anything besides Amaretto Breedable…… Please remember don’t rename your breedables with the same name always add a number or letter.

So please before you take that bundle, kennel, nest in your inventory please remember to rename it!

Until next time Happy Breeding!

How do we become happy and in the mood?

Going out to dinner, maybe a movie…. dancing…

Lock the door and turn the lights down low

Put some music on that’s soft and slow….

ooohhh sorry, I was listening to Josh Turner …… back to breedables

Lets start with horses:

1. If your horse is at least 7, riding is one of the ways you can increase the happiness. Just ride your horse some if he or she seems to be unhappy and not gaining happiness

2.. Rezzing out a salt lick with your food will make your horses happier. This stat booster gives a 1% increase in happiness over time. One Salt Lick last 2 horses 2 weeks.

Also you have two other consumables at your disposal to help raise the happiness level some.

A,. Sugar cubes, when used give your horse a 15% increase to the happiness. You can only give this consumable to them once in a 24 hour period.

B. The second consumable that affects happiness also affects all the other stats of the horse and that’s the Amaretto Cocktail! This wonderful little concoction is just what your horse wants to feel happy and ready to start producing bundles by raising energy, happiness, and fervor by 5% and decreasing nourishment by 5% ensuring that your horse can stay up late with his favorite mare! Note that again this consumable can only be given once every 24 hours.

If you want to read up on the consumables available, here’s a link http://wiki.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Food,_Salt_Licks,_and_Consumables

Now the K-9s

1.Playing with your K-9 will make your K-9s happiness increase over a length of time!

So if you have a K-9 that is feeling a little blue you can use the hud to bring up their happiness so they will be ready to breed.

If you do not have a Amaretto K-9 hud you can get one by clicking on your K-9, then help, and get hud

Ava has made a K-9 hud video for a visual explanation on how easy it is to use!

http://amarettobreedables.com/videos/7/9/amaretto-k9-hud

2.The Amaretto Brand Chew Toy gives a 1% increase in happiness over time. One Amaretto Brand Chew Toy last 2 K-9s 2 weeks.

The K-9s also have 2 other consumables which you can use to help happiness increase

A.The Rawhide Lollipop will increase one of your K-9s happiness by 15% . This consumable can only be given once every 24 hours.

B. Mega Woof Vitamins This wonderful little concoction is just what your K-9 wants to feel happy and ready to start producing kennels by raising energy, happiness, and fervor by 5% and decreasing hunger and thirst by 5% ensuring that your K-9 can stay up late with his favorite gal!

And now the Barnyard Birds

1.Orange Rinds

These delicious orange rinds are used to build the vivacity of your Barnyard Bird! These are important as your Barnyard Bird must have 85% or higher vivacity coupled with 100% vigor in order to breed.

2.Vivacity Corn will increase one of your birds vivacity by 15%

3.The Poultry Glow provides a 5% increase to Stamina, a 5% increase to Vivacity and a 5% increase to Vigor.

Now that we have them happy we just have to wait for that bundle, kennel, and nest to arrive!!!

Until next time
