Happy Wednesday Everyone!  Well Thanksgiving is almost here and I would like  to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!  Before you know it Christmas will be here, it is right around the corner.  That just means it’s getting cold outside and winter is almost here!

Well what better way to get them pounds off after Thanksgiving then skating. LOL

Amaretto is having an Ice Skating event on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00am Sl time.  DJ Dakota will be streaming the tunes. So get them skates on an join Amaretto for a freezing good time!

Remember starting today any bundles born from your horses between 12:01 AM SLT November 21st to 11:59 PM SLT on November 25th have a chance of giving you a Gobble Horse, the only requirement is that your horses be the most current version.  Any kennels born from your K-9s that are most current version give you a chance at birthing a Happy Thanksgiving 2012 K-9 during this time.

I can also let everyone know now that the Gobble Horse has the ability to pass:

Wild Hair: Wild Turkey Rainbow

Wild Hair: Wild Turkey

AND

Wing: Wild Turkey Rainbow!

Wing: Wild Turkey

From the Happy Thanksgiving 2012 K9 the Collar: Fall Leaves has the ability to pass!  So good luck and Happy Breeding everyone!

TGIF! Hope everyone had a great week with many wonderful bundles, kennels and nests! I have seen many beautiful ones posted in the groups! I asked in the Main group what I should write about today, and the community suggested “Tips for Breeders/Sellers”! So with the help of a few long time breeders/sellers I have compiled what I think is a very handy list of tips that can hopefully assist breeders of all kinds!
Breeders/Sellers are responsible for their 3rd party sales and purchases. Amaretto does not get involved in that aspect of the market so one of the main rules to always abide by is this:
Seller/Buyer Beware! If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!
(These tips are in no particular order, they’re all important in their own way)
• As with anything whether it’s RL or SL always remember Customer Service is a key to a successful business. Be nice to those repeat customers!
• SPAM, SPAM, SPAM! Not that kind of Spam, the advertising kind. You can join the Amaretto Advertising Group at any store location, but you can also check profiles and find other advertising groups that way.
• Remember to double and triple check that you actually set the breedable for sale. I know I’ve priced them and forgot to click that button myself too.
• If your breedable is out for sale, I know many who say it is a sales deterrent if the breedable is set to pet food. For sales purposes most find it valuable to have the animals on breedable food.
• Do NOT put your breedables out for sale if it is in a red ban lines area. People can’t buy things if they can’t get to them.
• Asking for pricing help usually does not get much help, the best suggestion you can get from anyone about pricing would be to go look around at different markets and see what things are selling for.
• It’s very important to be realistic with your prices though. Remember the market changes according to the time of the month. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t set your prices and stick to them it just means you should be willing to adjust. Never have a panic sale.
• Try to create a nice display at your store, one that will attract buyers, or at least make it easy for the buyers to see what you are selling.
Now if you’re selling your horse at auction here are the biggest things to remember:
• Do your notecard at home before you leave for the auction. Include the full UUID even if it’s a bundle get it from the description line while in edit mode.
• Set the price on the breedable at home before you leave and set it for a very high price so it can’t be swiped for 10L when you go to set it for sale.
• Ensure you are wearing the correct tag before you rez anything.
• Always check auction rules before you rent your panels as different auctions have different rules.
I hope these tips are helpful to all breeders and if you see someone in the groups asking for help, link this blog to them!
Until next time, Happy Breeding everyone!

Best In Show Wolf!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you guys are enjoying a great start for your week! I wanted to take some time to send out warm wishes to all of the US Veterans that are out there! So I thought I would share this poem with all of you!

Without you this country wouldn’t be the same;
You fight and you battle
For our common name.
Your level of courage is oh so rare
You’re dedicated and faithful;
You’re always there.
You’re my hero.
There are over 1 million people that are currently serving in the United States Army and risk their lives and their loved ones to keep this nation safe! So if you know someone serving or a veteran please let them know how grateful you are today!
Well now that the mushy stuff is out of the way!
I also wanted to share with you something that I think is pretty cool!
Its the Best In Show Wolf!
Look at this beauty I think it is my favorite Best in Show yet!! Its not to late for you to get one! A few things to remember when breeding for a Best in Show K9:

*Beginning November 5, 2012 to December 4, 2012 any kennel dropped from the breeding of any 2 Wolf K-9s had the chance at being a Best in Show Wolf.

*The Best in Show Wolf can be randomly birthed by breeding together any two K-9s that have Wolf Coats of any color. No other qualifications necessary, they just have to be Wolves.

I have included a picture below so you guys can check it out!
Best in Show Wolf can NOT pass their coat.
The Warrior Eye DOES have the ability to pass.
The Warrior DOES have the ability to pass

You can check it out here as well: http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Best_In_Show_Wolf

Happy breeding everyone this is Ava over and out!

TGIF! Hope everyone had a good week and received many amazing bundle, kennels and nests!

In group this week I have noticed a few times people asking what to do when their paired horses, K-9s or companioned Birds don’t breed. Well I have compiled a list of the fixes that I have seen posted in Amaretto Group chat by our awesome Community that have worked for many. Keep in mind these tips work for all 3 breedables.

1. The 1st step is always going to be to Re-rez them.
2. Check to be they are opposite sex – 1 male and 1 female. Don’t laugh it’s happened to all of us!
3. Check that they are the same versions. If not you can pick up a free updater at any store location.
4. Break the pairing/companionship on both menus and repair them.
5. If they are paired/companioned check the spelling of the names. If the name was spelled wrong when they were paired/companioned then it’s not going to work. Break the pairing/companionship and start over.
6. Check that they are not asleep.
7. Check that they are at full fervor/heat/vigor.
8. Check that they are breeding age.

If you’ve tried all these and they still have not bred:

1. Take to another sim and rez them out, sometimes they just like a change of scenery.
2. Try turning on movement for a bit, sometimes they just need a little exercise.
3. Pass them to an alt or a trusted friend and then have them send them back, sometimes a little trip can be nice.

Now after all that they are more than likely in the family way, but if you’ve tried all this and still are having trouble then please file a ticket on the support site and we’ll be happy to help you.

Until next time, Happy Breeding everyone!!

Hey guys its terrific Tuesday! I wanted to take a few moments to remind everyone about two of our great products!

The Forever Foal and Perpetual Puppy!

The Forever Foal makes the Retired horse so that It will not require food any more. All other normal functions for a Retired horse will still operate normally. Hover text will say Pet instead of Retired. This only works for Retired horses (Retired Horse-Horse that is greater than 120 days old) and can be used for both male and female Retired horses.

The Perpetual Puppy makes a Spayed/Neutered K-9 no longer require food. Of course ALL other functions for a Spayed/Neutered K-9 will still operate normally. Hover text will read Pet.
It’s important to know (cause we don’t want to turn any good breeding K-9 into a Pet prematurely) that the “Perpetual Puppy” will only work on Spayed/Neutered K-9s (over 126 days old) and can be used on either a male or female K-9

These are both great options to make those pets forever!

You can read up on both of these at the following links:

http://wiki2.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Perpetual_Puppy

http://wiki.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Forever_Foal

So be sure to read up on these and take advantage of them if you want to! Until next time, breed on!

Hello everyone. This week we have seen alot of tickets on people needing horses replaced. Well we all know SL can eat them or make them Poof, but heres something that we have noticed alot of people doing. NEVER highlight and take a group of horses, K-9s, bundles, or kennels into your inventory. Most of the time when you do this, you will lose all the items as they will not rez back out

Also if you find a breedable in your inventory and you know that you already have it out, you can right click on the item in inventory, look in the description field and compare the numbers from that with your breedables number. If you set it out and you already have it out, both copies will duplicate.

When SL does a sim Rollback, it takes the sim back to a previous state. If you have purchased a horse from someone, and the sim where you purchased the breedable from has a rollback, it can create a duplicate issue., maybe even someone else has come along and also purchased the same breedable. This is why we ask for transaction history. If this happens you can contact the seller for refund. Please don’t just assume they are selling duplicates on purpose. Talk to the seller. Things can be worked through.

I have noticed a lot of problems have been happening with breedables disappearing at auctions, some by SL roll backs, some by lag when trying to rez them, and others when taking them after purchase. When you go to an auction you have to fill out a notecard about your breedable. It only takes a little extra time to record the UUID number on the notecard.

Go to edit on the breedable, in the description line that is the uuid number. That number is very important and can help a lot if you need to file a ticket for a missing breedable, highlight the number and copy , paste to notecard. Doing this is like taking each one of your breedables’ fingerprints!! It can be a big time help if anything ever does happen to your breedable.

Having your breedable named can be very helpful especially when SL eats you Horse, K-9, or Barnyard Bird. We need information to remake your breedable. What we need is the Name of breedable and/or UUID number. If you leave you horse, K-9, or Barnyard Bird as Amaretto Breedable Horse, Amaretto Breedable K-9,or Amaretto Breedable Barnyard Bird, it can make it harder to find and sometimes impossible. The same goes for kennels, bundles and nests

.

We can only replace, remake your item if we have the information, so please take the time to name all your breedables.

Names can be as simple as using a number. It will also help you keep track and know when you are missing a horse, K-9 or Barnyard. example (White Walker Female, White Walker Female 2, White Walker Female 3)or for bundles, kennels, and nests, BW/Gar/LL/DblGloom, BWGar/LL DBLGloom 2

When you get a bundle, kennel, or nest and you decide not to birth it, name it before you take it into your inventory. Lets say a few weeks down the road you decide to birth that bundle, and the horse stays white and doesn’t birth. or you go to rez it out and it dissapears. You probably dont remember who the parents of the bundle were, but if you have named the bundle and paid attention to the bundle name before you clicked birth, you now have some information to give us that can help in finding out about that bundle. Again try and make the names different, even by using a number. You can start naming your bundles/kennels/nests by starting with a number and then naming the bundles in the next number order (1 BW/Gar/LL/BblGloom, 2 BW/Gar/LL/DblGloom, Etc)

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you have all had a wonderful week and received lots of wonderful bundles, kennels and nests!
