Happy Thursday! Today I’m so very excited to shine my Spotlight directly where a spotlight was meant to shine….. on Elvis!!!

I asked the group to send me projects that they were working on and I got the surprise of my life when one of you messaged me and said you were working on an Elvis horse.  *Swoons* I was raised on the music of Elvis Presley and many of my best childhood memories include times with my family hearing Elvis music while listening to family members talk of their love for this Superstar.  Thankfully I have passed this love of Elvis and his music on to my own children and grandchildren.  Nothing has warmed my heart quite like listening to my little grandson try to warble his way through Hound Dog!

So when Angelwith Wingtips messaged me and said she was working on an Elvis horse I knew I had my next blog in the bag!  I’ve known Angel and her partner Brook since 2009 when they were both regulars at my daily auctions so I am pleased to share her special project with you all.

Her goal for the Elvis Horse is to put the following traits together:

Elvis Horse Stats

Coat: Black Piebald

Eye: Capricorn

Mane: Upright Long

Tail: Upright Long

Horn: Shadow

Wing: Blizzard or Gold

Saddle: White or black

Gold: Bridle

Of course I had to ask Angel what made her choose these particular traits for the Elvis horse and she had some pretty good reasons for each one.

Angel said she chose the Black Piebald because Elvis had black hair and this particular horses looks like it has sideburns.  His hair later in life was kind of tall so that’s why the Upright longs.  He was born on January 8th so his birth sign was Capricorn.  Then Angel chose the Gold to represent his jewelry and outfits and then the white and black looks good and stands for his outfits also.  This sounds like a beautiful project to me and I cannot wait to see all those wonderful traits compiled on one horse.  I may just have to give this project a try myself, how about you?

Remember, let me know what you’re working on and the Spotlight just might shine on you!!! Happy breeding everyone!!

Happy Thursday!  Today I wanted to shine my Spotlight on an Amaretto project that has been in the works for some time now.  Back in January we opened the new Horse Museum and the 1st week of February we opened the new K-9 Museum.  Now today I am proud to be the one to announce that the Barnyard Bird Museum is ready for visitors!

It is a lovely fenced area with all the Barnyard Birds out on display.  I’m sitting here on a bench in the middle of the museum writing my Spotlight and admiring all the beautiful Barnyard Birds that have been released since the start of the Amaretto Barnyard Birds.

Of course looking around at all the breedables at the different Amaretto Museums inspires me to start new projects with my horses, k-9s and birds so hopefully it will inspire you all as well!  I love how you can look at the teleport board when you get to the Museum and teleport directly to the section of birds you want to see! If you do visit please notice that you can click on any of the information plaques and it will take you to the appropriate wiki page so you can find out more details about that breed or coat!

Amaretto Breedables all begin with the “Starter Breeds” that are sold in farmers and clutch packs as well as individual Hen or Rooster packs at all the Amaretto Barnyard Bird stores.
The Class stat classifies the birds stats.
They each come with possible hidden breeds and traits. The hidden breeds/traits may or may not be Non-Starter. When breeding new starters together, it is important to remember that the hidden breeds/traits may or may not drop in the first nest or even the last nest. You just never know!
Remember, once a starter always a starter.

Jester Class

The Jester Class does some amazing things to your Barnyard Bird. Benefits of Jester Class are:

Raising Barnyard Birds is fun and exciting! Did you know that if you turn their animations on and their extra animations on that you can bump your bird from behind and it will flap its wings, run a squawk? Well try it sometime it is fun to watch them!

Until next time, enjoy breeding!!!

Howdy breeders! Today I would like to cover the GPS. We have a GPS for each of our breedables. We have the Global Pony Settings barrel for horses, the Global Pup Settings hydrant for K9, and the Global Peck’n Sort silo for birds. These nifty devices were created to make life just a bit easier for breeders. The GPS turns possibly hundreds of clicks into a handful of clicks. The GPS is a FREE device that is given out at any Amaretto Horse, K-9, or Barnyard Bird Store.

Before we get into how these awesome devices work, it’s important to point out that the GPS will set all the horses, k9, or birds in a sim that are listed under the owner’s name. It’s important to remember this if you have special pens set up to manage special projects. Please also remember that there is a separate GPS for each of the three Amaretto Ranch Breedables.

When you get your Amaretto Global Pony Settings (GPS) from the Amaretto Store, you’ll open it to your inventory and find inside Instructions, Land Marks, TOS and the GPS itself. When you rezz your GPS and click on it, you will find the following Global Settings options

Set Range

This will allow you to set the range on your breedables. When you click this button you will put in local chat the range you wish your breedables to be set at.

Activate

Once you have made all the changes you would like to make to the settings of your breedables click Activate from the drop down menu and all your settings will be activated. If your text setting is left in the on position, you will probably notice the text on your K-9s will go off and then come back on.

Home Set

With this option you can keep the Home setting where it was or tell the GPS to reset the home on all rezzed breedables to their current location.

Text Off

This allows you to set the text to off.

Sounds On

This allows you to set the sounds to on.

Sounds Off

This allows you to set the sounds to off.

Anims On

This allows you to set the animations to on.

Anims Off

This allows you to set the animations to off.

Move Physic

This allows you to set the movement of your breedables to physical. When set to physical your breedable will not walk through other objects.

Lets Pair up!

Hello everyone its a lazy Sunday! Hope you all are having a great weekend and are ready to kick off an awesome week!

I thought I would take some time and talk about breeding and pairing!
Many use pairing when you want 2 special specific breedables to mate!

Let’s go over the basic requirements of pairing your Amaretto Breedable.

Both breedables have to be the same version!
Please make sure your breedables are of breeding age!

Here are the steps on how to pair your breedable:
Click on your breedable you want to pair.
Click on Breeding in the drop down Menu
Click on Form Pairing or Companion.
Then you will type the name of the horse/K-9/Barnyard Bird in local that you wish to pair with.

Then you get a drop down menu asking you to confirm or cancel the pairing you would choose confirm

(Example)
In local chat it will say

Mike is now paired with Katie
Now your breedables are paired and will breed with each other when the time is right.

Remember once they breed pairing is automatically broken so if you wish the same 2 to breed again be sure to re-pair them.

This is Ava over and out! Happy Pairing everyone!!!

Happy Thursday Everyone!  We’ve had a lot of excitement in the past few weeks with the new update, new starters, new Haven Horses and the new Fall Limited Editions.  Today I wanted to shine my spotlight on a couple of new things that I keep seeing people ask about in the main Amaretto group.  These things came directly from the creativity of the Amaretto Community!

Back in June we held the Amaretto Country Fair and at the Country Fair we had 12 different raffles that the community was able to enter for a chance to win a special prize while all the proceeds went directly to Relay for Life.  Well I keep seeing people wondering where a couple of really cool new traits came from and I am happy to tell you that they were won by lucky members of the community at these raffles.

On one of the raffle boards you had the chance to win this: **Create your own Horse Eye** This eye will be all the winners design and come on the horse of your choice. The winner of this was stefane Klaber and he created the beautiful Sun & Moon eye that you see in the picture below.  This is a gorgeous design and one of the “must have” eyes on my list of must haves! Congratulations again to stefane for supporting RFL and for creating such a marvelous eye to share with the community!  Way to go stefane the Sun and Moon eye is awesome!

On another of the raffle boards you had the chance to win this: **Create your own Horse Branding** This branding will be all the winners design and come on the horse of your choice. The winner of this raffle was JonSnow2012 Resident and he created the beautiful Rainbow Star Branding that you see in the picture below.  This beautiful branding is the first color branding and if you haven’t seen it yet check out the picture below as it is just a gorgeous as it sounds!  Congratulations again to JonSnow for supporting RFL and for creating such a beautiful branding to share with the community!  Way to go JonSnow the Rainbow Star Branding is awesome!

There were plenty of other winners at the Amaretto Country Fair and you can see the list of winners at this link:

http://amarettobreedables.com/connection/?p=7554

So the next time you think you want to be able to create your own trait for the Amaretto Horses, K-9s or Birds remember you never know some day you may get the chance to do just that!

Until next time, Happy Breeding!

8 Ball Branding http://wiki.amarettobreedables.com/index.php?title=Branding

I know that most everyone has seen the newness that came from the 5.0 update, but did you see the new Cobra albino eye?

Cobra

Amaretto Albinos have become somewhat famous in the Amaretto Community. To have such a prized horse born is very exciting. Plus they come with a very special eye that will be sought after by many.
Albinos come with very special Albino eyes that can be passed on to their offspring.
The Albinos come randomly from full siblings. Full siblings are siblings that come from the exact same mother and father. Siblings do not have to have the same traits they only need to be full sibling.
The Albino coat does NOT pass.
However, breeding an Albino with another Albino does slightly increase your chance for another Albino.

Well hope you guys like all the newness on the wiki this is Ava over and out! Happy breeding everyone!
