Amaretto Breedables Customer Connection

Hello everybody today i would like to discuss a tool that many newer browsers have implemented that can help you if you are having troubles logging into a certain site or going to vote on our current open vote. This tool is called Privacy mode. This mode works by denying cookies from a website and denying read requests to that sites cookie which can help you log in. A little background on cookies first: Whenever you go to a site that has some sort of login system a text file containing the connection info and various pieces of data is stored in your web browser, This is a cookie. Under normal use these can be beneficial like when you check remember me that cookie gets that piece of data and the next time you go to that site you will still be logged in. Unfortunately this can also work against you at times like with our voting site if something happens to the connection and you haven’t voted the cookie doesn’t know this but it does know that you have been which results in a redirect to the results page. Privacy mode fixes this by denying all cookie requests for the duration of the mode ( till you close the Privacy window ). So as you can see this mode will help most instances of being unable to login or participate on sites such as the voting system.

The Privacy mode is named differently on most major browsers:

Internet Explorer – In Private Browsing the window is activated by pressing ctrl shift p

Google Chrome – Incognito the window is activated by ctrl shift n

Apple Safari – Private Browsing the window is opened from the safari menu

Mozilla Firefox – Private Browsing the window is opened by pressing ctrl shift p

With these modes if you find that the voting link given by the vote box doesn’t work copy and paste that link into the Privacy Mode window and it should work though there are instances where it wont. Hello everybody its Tmzasz your Webmaster.

Today I would like to talk to you all about the registration/login process. As you may know both sections on the website have a separate registration / login system. Now I would like to cover both processes for you real quick.

Main website this is for everything but the ticket system.

First point your external browser (a browser other than the built in media browser inside second life) to

http://amarettobreedables.com (you need to use an external browser as the in world browsers do not work all the time)

Now at the top of the page click Sign up and it will take you to the account creation/registration page

Fill in your email address set the password you want twice (do not use the same password as your email or second life account) and in the profile address you have to put an alpha-numeric word in the box. You create this and it has to have at least 1 letter in it but can have letters and numbers, i.e. tmzasz1 this is for the url of your website profile page and it would look like this http://amarettobreedables.com/profile/tmzasz1 don’t put the http:// or anything else in just put what you want to be behind the last /.

Next change your time zone and language, complete the recaptcha and then read and agree to the terms of service of the site (which are located here: http://amarettobreedables.com/help/terms).

Press continue to go to the profile information page

Here you fill in what will appear on your profile page

For first name use your SL first name and for last name use your SL last name or resident if you don’t have one

Everything else on the page is optional and completely up to you if you want to fill it in.

Click save and wait for the confirmation email (should arrive within 5 minutes) and then confirm the registration and login that’s all there is to it 🙂

Now for the ticket system

The reason the website login does not work with the ticket system is because the systems use a separate user/password style and they can’t talk to each other.

Ok to register to the ticket system point your external browser (a browser other than the built in media browser inside second life) to http://support.amarettobreedables.com (you need to use an external browser as the in world browsers do not work all the time)

On this page in the center is a register button that looks like a red silhouette with a brown + sign on it click it to start the registration process.

Once you click the register button please fill in the account fields:

Full Name please use your second life name not your RL name

Email please put the email you wish to use to login to the ticket system and put a password (do not use the same password as your email or second life account) and finally fill in the recaptcha and click sign up. Once you do you will be able to login using the login box to the right of the screen about halfway down.

Once you login you can fill in the profile information if you choose to but it is not required.

After logging in at the top where it says > Home > View tickets > Submit a ticket > Knowledgebase > News > Troubleshooter click on home to go to the front page or Submit a Ticket to go straight to the ticket submit ion page.

I hope this helps everyone be able to login easier and clears up any confusion.

Hello everyone today I would like to talk about something new we have released to help users place their ads on the website!

Starting today you can pay for your ads using PayPal OR L$ in world. the process for L$ payments is simple:

Create your ad on the website give it a title/url/desc/picture and create a new or choose an existing campaign.

Now when you go to place the order to pay by lindens ignore the pay with PayPal button and check your email, you should receive an email within 60 seconds containing slurls to the locations you can pay and a URL for your ad. Go to any of those locations and touch the terminal it will ask you for the URL to the ad please copy/paste the URL in the email on the channel in world and the terminal will look up the details of the ad for you. If the ad is valid it will tell you to pay the terminal a certain amount ( based on the package price you chose when creating the ad ) and give you 60 seconds to pay the terminal. Once you do it will record the transaction and mark the ad as paid then when we go through and see the ad that was paid we will look over it to ensure its appropriate and approve or deny it ( your time doesn’t start until its approved and if it takes more than 7 days to approve you are refunded the price of the ad ).

I hope this system helps more people who don’t use or don’t want to use PayPal to pay for ads get their ads out there!

Hello everyone its tmzasz the webmaster for amarettobreedables.com, over the next few days the system is going to be pushing out emails that have gotten stuck in the queue. This happens when a error in one of the messages stalls the sending mechanism. Unfortunately this isn’t detected until the queue backs up to a point where it alerts us that a problem occurs. We apologize for the amount of messages that get sent to your inbox and we have been working with the software provider to figure out why this has happened again. Also this is the reason that some of you have not gotten your validation emails as i have seen there are a few that are stuck in the queue so those that were stuck should be sent out over the next few days.
