Jaysin & I hope that everyone has enjoyed hearing from each of the CSR’s this week. It has been interesting for us to see what each of them chose to write about. I found the topics to be very informative and hope that everyone in the community did as well. I would like to say a public thank you now to our littlest CSR, Avalon Crystal, as this blog was her idea. Thank you Avalon, you might be small but you sure have some giant sized, great ideas!

I know everyone is extremely anxious for the pairing issue that came up during the 2.0 update to be fixed and I also know that you are all tired of hearing the team say the word soon. So! I am going to be the first to tell you all right here on the blog, that this issue will be fixed this week!

That’s right the fix is almost done, and will include fixes to a few more things that I won’t go into any more detail on yet. Lets just say I think that most people will be pleasantly surprised.

We will not be sending daily notices each day next week, but I want you all to know that the CSR’s are going to continue to blog here each day of the week so be sure to bookmark the page and check back each day, with this team you never know what the topic of the day might be! Hello everyone!  It’s finally Friday, and finally my turn to burn up the blog. *YaY*  As promised earlier this week I’m going to use my blog time to share some of the things that the Amaretto Scripter, Lexxure Lock, had to say in the group this week.  The entire team was very happy that Lex took time to come join us all in the group and answer some questions from the community and also to jump around to different people’s horses and chat with them about concerns they may be having.  The big topics when Lex was in the group was food and salt licks. We have heard those of you with concerns over the food consumption and the happiness levels loud and clear and this is why we asked Lex to join us in the group.  I will list some of the things he had to say for you now:

1. Horses don’t eat more in 2.0 than they did in any other version
2. A horse at 50% hunger will eat at triple the rate. That’s a food setting NOT a horse setting
3. The script was changed to allow a 100% hunger horse to eat out of sickness.  That part of the code is independent from the current eating patterns, and is set to a separate timer entirely
4. There is a known bug regarding the happiness.  A male horse at 100% fervor will not use a salt lick.  The issue is fixed on my test horses and will be out on the next update, whenever that is
5. Happiness is tied to energy and salt licks, If it’s under 30 energy it will drop regardless of the use of a salt lick.  It will probably still be above 50/70 before it goes to sleep, and it will gain some likely when it awakens
6. You don’t lose fervor in a horse. Happiness can drop though over time based on energy.
7. The happiness WILL drop though if the horse is overly hungry, above 50% hunger and every point gained after. Every point above 50% hunger, the happiness will drop by one  if you use the “Awaken” option, happiness drops by 5, and it’s detrimental since you won’t get the bonus from 100 to 70 energy
8. The food is unchanged, the only change to hunger is that you can now have a horse eat its way out of starvation.  The food has a triple consumption rate when the horse is above 50% and a double rate above 20%, but this has been the case since day 1
9. A horse does not change its range setting on rerez, it will stay at what it is.

Rest assured Lex is constantly running tests and looking for ways to make the horses better. We hope the information he provided this week helps alot of people and remember if you have questions or concerns please submit a ticket on the support system.
