Category : K9 Information

Hello everyone its Tmzasz here and today I would like to quickly talk about a very important topic, Updating your breedables and why it is important! First off let me begin with the most important reason to always update:

Amaretto does not support older versions. What this means is that say you have a horse that’s gotten sick and wont accept a healing kit or eating its way out of hunger, well this horse happens to be a 3.2 version horse. Well when we repair the horse we always send it back at the most current version which in this case is 3.5. So say you have a horse that has glitched for example or you are super partial to the old 1.3 style horses, in this case we do not support the glitch and when remade it will come back at the most current version and as it is supposed to be and the same applies to older versions like stated above.

Next important reason to update to the latest version:

The latest version of any of our breedables always has the most current bug fixes and generally are better in many areas, some bug fixes in the updates are not always apparent but they happen in the background to make your breeding experience more enjoyable!!!

Now possibly the reason most people update is to be breedable to the new starters that come out with an update as they have to be of the same version to breed!

Now you can see why its always best to make sure you update to the latest version of our breedables 🙂

Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone had a great week and that your breedables dropped something amazing for you!
I want to talk today about what permissions on your breedables should be. When selling your horse, K-9 or Barnyard Bird all you need to do is click the sale box and insert the price. No other permissions need to be changed. This also applies to zero sales or transferring your horse to a friend so they may ride it. If you are using the Firestorm viewer you will have to set the permissions to original because the default is copy.
If you do buy a breedable and receive a folder containing the contents of the breedable, this means that someone changed those permissions and you will need to file a ticket with us to have your breedable repaired.
This is another good thing to be sure you check when purchasing breedables. Always make sure you check who you are buying from and if the permissions are set properly. I hope this helps prevent some of the issues with permissions. Until next time, Happy Breeding everyone!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a great time at the Pirate/Trivia event this morning, it was lots of fun!
I witnessed a disagreement about traits in the group this morning so I thought I would use my connection today to go over this topic again.
It is important to remember that racing traits are counted separately because they can be different levels. Meaning you can have Class Stamina A and Class Speed D depending on training. I hope the lists below helps to clear up any confusion there may be.

The Best in Show Mystique can be randomly birthed by breeding together any two K-9s that have Mystique Coats of any color. No other qualifications necessary, they just have to be Mystique.

Best in Show Mystique can NOT pass their coat, however they do have the ability to pass the super cool Runes Crystal eyes and the Moonstone collar!

This month’s new eyes!

Hello everyone its Tmzasz your friendly neighborhood webmaster/script wrangler  and today I would like to introduce this month’s new eyes!  But there’s a catch! The K-9 zodiac eyes this time around are no longer based on the Chinese zodiac but instead they are following suit with their horsey brethren and going month and something else!!!!  This eye CAN be passed on to its offspring .

CapGarnet

For the horses we have the Snowdrop Garnet!!! That’s right introducing the birthstone flower eye for this month ! You can have a chance at one of these exciting Non-Starter eyes as they are randomly dropped into bundles at the time the bundle drops. Your horse needs to be version 3.5 and higher for this eye to drop. These eyes DO  have the ability to pass on as well.

Gather ‘round and listen here

K-9 kennels are birthing near

Bred from two Holiday K-9s, New or Retro

Something “wild” is about to unfold

Would ya look at that, is it so?

A Giraffe putting on a show

And over there, behind that tree

Is that a Zebra staring at me?

Ahh! Oh no! What made that tremendous growl?

It is a ferocious Jaguar on the prowl!

My goodness, could it be true

A fierce little Tiger is wandering through!

Now you know the savage truth

It’s In to the Wild for me and you!

So grab your Holiday K-9 and put them together to breed

The Kennel you get from them could be a WILD surprise indeed!

That’s right…

If you breed any of the holiday K-9 together, The 2012 or The Retro, you have a chance at getting an “In to the Wild K-9”. These are amazingly cute little pups! The coat, eyes, and collar are passable from the In to the Wild K-9!!  So gather up those Holiday K-9 and start breeding them together! I have included a pic for you to drool over!

Happy Friday! We made it through another week! The groups have been bustling with so many beautiful horses and K-9s being bragged about in there, that I thought I would remind you all of one of the special ways Amaretto has for you to keep your favorite breedables!

Amaretto introduced a product called “Perpetual Puppy” in Feb 2012. The Perpetual Puppy is a great feature as this takes any Spayed/Neutered K-9 and turns them into a pet forever! Meaning you will never have to worry about feeding your K-9 as after becoming a “Perpetual Puppy” it no longer requires any food. A “Perpetual Puppy” K-9 will look and function just like any other Amaretto Ranch Breedable K-9. This only works for K-9s over 126 days old (Spayed/Neutered). You can pick this certificate up at any Amaretto Ranch K-9 store.

Once you purchase your Perpetual Puppy certificate you would follow the following steps to have your K-9 converted:

1) Create a file folder in you inventory with the title “Perpetual Puppy <your sl name>”.
2) Place in the folder the certificate that you purchased along with your Spayed/Neutered K-9 that you would like turned into a “Perpetual Puppy”
3) Send this folder to … Jaymee Caproni

Once your K-9 is successfully turned into a Perpetual Puppy, it will be returned to you in a folder named “Perpetual Puppy from Jaymee Caproni.

As we have many people taking advantage of this feature we offer, it’s important to follow the above instructions to ensure a process that goes as smoothly as possible!

**IMPORTANT NOTE**
Although the certificates are transferable, they MUST be turned in by the PURCHASER ONLY. The reason this is a requirement is because every certificate is checked against our transaction data base. Once a certificate is redeemed by the PURCHASER it is marked as Redeemed and becomes void. The reason we have the certificate as transferable is so the purchaser may pass the certificate to Jaymee Caproni for redemption. Again, please remember, the certificates CAN NOT be purchased and transferred to another avatar for redemption. I will not be able to redeem the certificate, and it will be returned.

It’s really important to remember that once a K-9 is turned into a “Perpetual Puppy” there is no going back. This is something that cannot be undone. So please do make sure this is what you really want to do before you send in that K-9.

Last and certainly not least. There are many that ask “Can my Perpetual Puppy be updated” the answer is Yes! You can update your Perpetual Puppy anytime you wish or you may choose to leave it just as it is. However if for some odd reason your K-9 needs to be repaired it will be returned in the most current Amaretto Breedable K-9 version.
So for all those special pups that you just can’t part with, Perpetual Puppy is the way to go. Until next time, Happy Breeding everyone!
