=============================================

1st AMOC Beauty Contest Application form

From August 2 (10 am) till August 4 (10 pm)

=============================================

Greetings ,

You are cordially invited to participate in the
1st AMOC Beauty Contest .

What is this Beauty Contest???.. you’ll ask..

What you are suppose to bring is the horse you’re breeding that you think it’s your precious beauty and show it off.

A Contest board will be up and the ones that get more votes will be the one that wins.
Why a contest board.. because that way you don’t see who is winning till the very end! Oh yeah…. we’re mean like that!
Plus the contest board will only allow one vote for person and also, if you for some reason vote on the wrong one you’ll have the change to discard the previous vote and vote for the one you really wanted to. Also everyone will be allowed to vote even if you did not enter.

Now what can you win:

Beauty Queen/King (aka 1st prize)

A jumbo mix pack
and a crown and ribbon for the horse… or avatar.. if you rather use it ,-)
1st Runner-up (2nd place so we’re clear)

25 food
a tiara and a ribbon
2nd runner-up (aka 3rd place)

6 food
a tiny tiara and also a ribbon
On the last day, Sunday at 7 pm we’re going to do something funny…..

we’re going to model but with your horses!!!

After that tiny show…. we’re going to announce the results of the voting that lasted for those 3 days.
Now Rules that must be followed:

Only 1 horse per person.

You need to put in the board behind the horse a picture or art work (if the project is not finished yet) of the horse along with a notecard with the its traits. if you want you can add some info or history about what led you to do that project.

This is a totally free event for you! you will be not charged for the use of the prims. but you will have to bring your own food and salt!

Here is your ride to come check out these beauties!!

Hey Everyone it’s Wednesday ! Hoping you having a good breeding day !

Hey all let’s take a ride on the Reading Railroad ! LOL

Do you read ? The Manual that come in the boxs with your new breedables ? There is really alot of information there !

Well lets take a look at the Horse Manual

This manual will give you the basics on how to start breeding your own Amaretto Horses.
First read these items below about the horses, they will help with future questions:
****DO NOT OPEN THE BABYBUNDLE YOU WILL BREAK IT! ****
*To get started, rez a BabyBundle you purchased from your inventory on the ground. Click the bundle and select the “birth” option to rez your new baby horse, foal. Your new little foal has a default range of 5 meters from “home” which is the spot where you birthed them. To move your foal just select edit and move, or the foal can be taken into inventory and re-rezed to the new location. To set home position in the future click the foal/horse, select settings, set home. Home position does set automatically on rez when you re-rez a horse. The Range is set in Meters and is the radius of a circle with the home point as the center. (The Radius of a circle is measured from the center to its edge)

**THERE IS NO TIMER ON THE BABYBUNDLE THEY DO NOT EXPIRE**

*The foal will get a little bigger each day until it reaches full maturity at age 7 (days). When they reach maturity the fervor will start to rise as long as the happiness is above 75%. Once the fervor reaches 100% they will be able to mate.

* Pregnancy lasts for 3 days. After having the “bundle” it takes 4 days for the female to recover, then 2-3 days for it to get back 100% fervor. The male recovers immediately and begins to gain fervor.

*You can ride your horse once it reaches age 7. To ride you horse first turn off movement on the horse you want to ride, take them into your inventory. Wear your horse from your inventory. In the horses menu you can choose the animation you would like and height adjustment. Your horse will gain happiness while you ride but will also tire faster. Once the energy gets to zero it will detach from you and go back to your inventory. You will need to rez the horse so it can sleep and gain energy back before riding again.
*Please DO NOT send horses, notecards or instant messages to the Amaretto staff or the creator the ONLY way we will be able to assist you is if you file a ticket on the support site. http://support.amarettobreedables.com/

If your Salt licks read 0%!!
Check the description field of the salt lick. Right click and choose edit. You will see something that looks like:
42: Owner Only
The 42 is the number of “licks” left. The hover text may display wrong but the description field is what is important.
As of Update 3.2 Salt licks now have an on/off switch so they can be turned off when not needed by your horses.

****REMEMBER TO RESET HOME POSITION IF YOU EDIT MOVE YOUR HORSE
****IT IS BEST TO RE-REZ YOUR HORSE NEXT TO THE FOOD INSTEAD OF EDITING IT OVER

Well we won’t go into the consumables but they are listed in there also !
Please be sure to read over the manual that comes in with the breedables it is very helpful .

Today I want to talk about why it is important to send your breedables in to us in folders with your name and ticket number on the folder when you need to have them repaired.

First check out your own inventory, look in the objects category. I’m sure you have some items there. If you drop an item to someone, this is where the item usually goes.so when we log on and look in that folder we see that obviously someone has sent us something, we are not sure what or why so then we get a surprise that usually ends up in causing us confusion.

. Now think about all the breedables that get sent to me and the other CSR’s everyday. If they are not sent in the folders like we requested, they may end up lost and in the trash., because without a folder labeled with your name and ticket number, we will have no way of know who the items belong to.So the two most important items to put on the folder is your ticket number and your SL name.

.

Now creating a folder is easy

1. right click (or command click if your using a mac) in either the My Inventory folder or another folder (like the Objects folder)

2. click New Folder then under the folder you clicked on, a New Folder will be created and ready to rename with your name and ticket number.

3. Right click on the folder and select Rename, now rename the folder with your ticket number and your SL name.

4. Once you are done changing the name it will fall in order with the other folders and be ready to add your inventory to it.

5.. After you have placed the horses / K-9s/ barnyard birds, bundles / kennels / nests and any additional information you can add for the ticket pull our name up in search and drag the folder over to us and we will get it (even if we are off-line!) and we will respond in your ticket if more information is needed or if no info is needed you will have your fixed breedable sent back in the folder that will say Amaretto Breedables from CSR NAME -REPAIRED

You do NOT need to send a note card separately or an instant message to the CSR. If you do instant message a CSR have your ticket ID on hand, we talk to so many people when you randomly message we have no idea who you are.

Below are the ticket guidelines

• ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND YOUR TICKET WILL BE CLOSED WITH POSSIBLE LOSS OF SUPPORT PRIVILEGES.

• PLEASE put both your full SL First name and Last name (if you do not have a last name put resident) in the ticket do NOT use display names

•All communication MUST be in the ticket. CSRs will not respond to in world IMs or Note cards! To ensure your ticket is resolved as quick as possible, Please keep ALL responses/communications in your ticket.

•Tickets may take 48-72 hours to get a response from the support team, please have patience.

•Do not respond to the emails, we do not get those, you must respond inside the ticket itself for us to see the response.

•No response to tickets from the user in 3 days and the ticket will be closed.

•Do not wait to be contacted inworld regarding your ticket. Please log in and check for responses to your tickets.

•Please do not file multiple tickets for the same issue, it only slows things down and the duplicate tickets will be closed.

•Refrain from refreshing your page on the ticket system, it will duplicate your tickets

•You must be the owner of the horse/bundle, K-9/kennel and Barnyard Bird/Nest to file a ticket. Please do not file tickets for others.

•Please include any pertinent information regarding your ticket/issue this will help expedite your ticket through faster.

•BE SURE TO GIVE AS MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUNDLE/HORSE KENNEL/K-9/BARNYARD BIRD/NEST AS POSSIBLE AS THIS WILL HELP SPEED THINGS UP

Today I am going to talk to you about keeping your Horses and K9s happy! I will briefly cover each breedable and how to keep those animals smiling!

Let me start out by saying Happiness in your Horses and K9s pertains to breeding only. If you do not intend on breeding your animals they do not have to be happy.

Ok now on to keeping them happy…

Let’s first start with horses….

The most convenient way to raise a horse’s happiness and keep it up is using Salt Licks. The Salt Lick helps to increase the happiness of the horse. It can be used when you are trying to increase the Fervor of the horse for breeding. The Salt Lick gives a 1% increase in happiness over time. One Salt Lick last 2 horses 2 weeks.

To use a Salt Lick

1. Open boxed Salt Lick and rez close to the horses you wish to increase the happiness. For the horses to use the Salt Lick it needs to be within their set range, just as the food and water is.

2. Click the Salt Lick to set options for Owner only, Group only, or All.

  • Owner only: Will only be consumed by the owners horses.
  • Group only: Will only be consumed by horses in the same group as the Salt Lick is set to.
  • All: Any horse within range of the Salt Lick will be able to consume it.

Once the Salt Lick has been completely consumed it will disappear.

The other way to increase a horse’s happiness is to ride a horse. Riding a horse is not only an enjoyable time for you but it is always a great way to increase the happiness on your horse. Please make note that even though it does raise your horse’s happiness, your horse also tires easier. Your horse must age 7 and above to ride your horse.

Ok, let’s move on to keeping those K9 happy!

The most convenient way to raise a K9’s happiness and keep it up is using Chew Toys. The Chew Toys help to increase the happiness of the K9. It can be used when you are trying to increase the Heat of the horse for breeding. The Chew Toy gives a 1% increase in happiness over time. One Chew Toy last 2 K9s 2 weeks.

To use a Chew Toy

  1. Open boxed Amaretto Brand Chew Toy and rez close to the K-9’s you wish to increase the happiness. For the K-9’s to use the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy it needs to be within their set range, just as the food and water is.
  2. Click the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy to set options for Owner only, Group only, or All.
  • Owner only: Will only be consumed by the owners K-9’s.
  • Group only: Will only be consumed by K-9’s in the same group as the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy is set to.
  • All: Any K-9 within range of the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy will be able to consume it.

Once the Amaretto Brand Chew Toy has been completely consumed it will disappear.

You can also increase your K9s happiness by playing with your K9. To play with your K9 it must be connected to the K9 HUD. While the K-9 is attached to the HUD they receive a boost in Happiness. This is an incremental increase that will rise as long as the K-9 stays attached to the HUD.

To use the K9 HUD

1.Wear the HUD – It will attach to your screen in the upper left corner

2.Touch the K-9 you want to interact with and chose HUD from the Blue Menu

3.Touch the Connect button on the HUD – It will confirm in local which K-9 is connected to the HUD

4.Now you can choose to have your K-9 do one of the activities listed on the HUD

Come, Stay, Follow

I hope this helps make you and your Horse and K9s happy! Until next time…. Happy Breeding!

The Forever Foal makes a Retired horse so that it will not require food anymore and the Perpetual Puppy make a Spayed/Neutered K9 so that it will not require food any more. The horse and/or K9 will still function as a normal retired horse or spayed/neutered K9 would. The hover text will read “pet” after they have been turned into a Perpetual Puppy or Forever Foal. Home Home set your range!

Today I wanted to talk to everyone about setting the range on your horses.  I cannot stress how important your horses range is when it comes to pretty much everything.  The range is set in meters and is the radius of a circle with the home point as the center. (The radius of a circle is measured from the center to its edge). When a horse is first birthed its default range is set to 5 meters.  This means that you must also have food within 5 meters of the horses in order for them to eat.  When they are old enough to breed the horse you want them to breed with must also be within 5 meters of them.  So you see the range you set is important for a few reasons.  If you have a lot of horses or even just a few I suggest using the Global Pony System or the GPS on your sim.  With this wonderful device you can set the stats on all of your horses at once, range, animation, movement, and sounds, all of it! It’s really handy and saves tons of time.  Plus I find it’s nice to know that all of my horses are set to the same range so I don’t have to keep checking them. Just remember if you have special projects going and need ranges set to a different amount on certain horses you will have to manually do this as the GPS will change the range on the whole sim.

One of the main topics of the tickets we receive is about horses not eating. If you are having issues with your horse not eating please try the following tricks before filing a ticket.

  • 1. Re-rez fixes 99% of the issues.
  • 2. If the land is set to a group, are the horses and food set to that group?
  • 3. If the land isn’t set to a group, are the horse and food set to the same group as each other?
  • 4. Check to see if the horse is set to the type of food out (more stats)
  • 5. Re-set home position.
  • 6. Sometimes giving them a Horsey Snack will help them start to eat so you may also want to try this. Remember your horses only eat once every 43 minutes so you may not notice a change immediately, be patient it takes 3 days for a horse to reach 100% hunger.

Until next time, Happy Breeding everyone!
