Busy Weekend Ahead !!!!

For the next few days, sit down, kick back and relax, cause starting Thursday there’s going to be singing, dancing, partying, and lots of walking in store for the weekend.

That’s right, Karrie and Jaymee get us started Thursday at 11:00 am (slt) with some Karaoke. Its not to late to drop them a note card and let them know you want to sing. Now I would sing but…… the K-9s tend to start howling when I do, and its not a happy howl, so I think its best not to aggravate my K-9s
Now Karaoke is a fun event for all, so don’t miss out on this one.

On Friday July 12th at 7:00 pm (slt) A.M.O.C. is having a party… so pull out those dancing shoes and lets boogie.

Saturday July 13th and Sunday July 14th is Relay For Life. This is such an awesome event, its all day and opens Saturday with the Lap for Survivors and Caregivers. Come on out and show your support for them and what they have been through and still going through.. Along the road way you can light luminaries in Remembrance of a friend or loved one.Lots of vendors and displays to see, and different events to go to while you are there too!!!
Amaretto has an awesome display there. We will all be there, so come out and join us, and help raise money for a cure!!!

So lets see… Thursday we go sing, Friday we dance and party, and Saturday and Sunday we walk… Sounds like an awesome weekend of fun and community get togethers!!! See you there!!!!!

Laughter!!!!

I figured with the crazy weather everywhere, SL acting crazy, and it being Monday that maybe some laughter was needed!

So I have gathered up a few jokes and some funny pictures, so set back, relax and laugh. After all , laughter makes everything better!!!!!

It was a sunny afternoon when Bob said to George,Hey, George, why don’t we get ourselves 2 horses? We could ride them in the summer and in the winter we could put them in the paddock behind the house.” George thought it was a great idea, so the next day they went out and bought themselves 2 horses. They rode them in the summer, but when winter came George got worried. He said “Hey, Bob, how are we going to tell them apart next spring?” Bob said, “Well, I’ll shave the mane off mine and you shave the tail off yours.” This satisfied George, so he did. The next spring when they went back to get their horses they found the horses’ hair had all grown back. Alarmed, George said, “Oh great, now how are we going to tell them apart?” and Bob said, “Well, you can have the black one and I’ll take the white one.”

A cowboy goes into a bar, has a beer, walks outside and finds his horse has been stolen. He walks back into the bar, fires his gun through the ceiling. “Which one of you stole my hoss?” he yells. No one answers. “All right, I’m gonna have one more beer and if my hoss ain’t outside by the time I finish, I’m gonna do what I dun in Texas.” He drinks another beer, walks outside, and his horse is back. So he gets on it and gets ready to ride out of town. The bartender walks out of the bar and asks, “Say pardner, what happened in Texas?” The cowboy turns to him, and says, “I had to walk home.”

Three race horses stood in their stalls. One said to other others: “I ran 20 races and I won 15 of them!” he bragged. The next said with a snort, “Well, I ran 30 races and won 25 of them!” Then the third horse spoke up proudly, “Yeah, I ran 41 races and won 39 of them!” This seemed to settle the topic when the horses noticed a Greyhound outside their stalls. The Greyhound said, “I ran 100 races and I won 99 of them.” The horses looked at each other in amazement and one gasped, “Wow!

A talking greyhound!”

This Kentucky horse breeder had a filly that won every race in which she was entered. But as she got older she became very temperamental. He soon found that when he raced her in the evening, she would win handily, but when she raced during the day she would come in dead last. He consulted the top veterinarians and horse psychologists to no avail. He finally had to give up because it had become … a real night mare.

I bought a horse for 10 Lindens!

Hey guys and gals out the in breedingland! I do hope that everyone is doing well today and got to enjoy a great bundle, kennel, or nest!

I wanted to talk to you guys about something that is pretty serious for a minute. It’s very important that we as breeders, sellers, and even barters take the steps necessary to protect ourselves.

Amaretto has to take a position not to be involved with after market sales disputes. We have taken this position for over the past year, so please remember when buying, selling, or trading that you are entering a agreement with the other person not Amaretto.

If  you find yourself in  a situation like this you will have to work it out with the seller, Amaretto will not be able to step in and make any judgement calls as to who is right or wrong, or who the breedable belongs to! You can abuse report and file tickets with linden labs when you encounter issues with another resident.

For the same reasons will not be able to assist you with missed-priced issues, you will need to contact and work it out with the buyer.

Another important thing to remember is that when setting a breedable for sale that you do it in a way that no one can buy the Breedable for the default 10 lindens. The new viewers that we are using these days has made this much easier with the apply button.

I hate to see people taken advantage of, so please be careful when you are making these transactions.  Remember if it seems to good to be true is probably is!

I know that most of you guys already know this stuff but I just wanted to remind everyone its easy to get comfortable and forget to take the extra steps necessary to protect yourself. As much as I would like to believe everyone is honest and aren’t people that will take advantage of you or the situation at hand,  it’s simply not true and we must be proactive Breeders, Sellers, and Barters!

Until next time Happy Breeding this is Ava over and out!

Plant a Positive Seed

I think a breath of fresh air is good for the soul, don’t you? I was messaged by a member of the community and told a very touching story that reminded me why I love my job so much.  It also got me to thinking how we always get to hear when things aren’t exactly what everyone wants them to be, but we so very rarely get to hear positive things.

So I have decided to start a thread on the Amaretto forums and call it Chicken Soup for the Amaretto Soul.  I want everyone to go and post positive things, share stories of why you breed your horses and how you’ve drawn happiness from the exciting bundles. Stories of how you’ve met that special someone while horse shopping, lol keep it clean please (Avalon made me say that part). Does not have to be anything fancy, not a long post, nothing too personal just inspirational stuff that fellow breeders can read and maybe remember why they love breedables too!  Share your story and plant a positive seed to grow in the minds and hearts of others.

I will start the thread off with my own post so I hope to read what everyone else writes soon! Who knows maybe your story will end up on the Dakota Show one day!

Hello everyone its Tmzasz here and today I would like to quickly talk about a very important topic, Updating your breedables and why it is important! First off let me begin with the most important reason to always update:

Amaretto does not support older versions. What this means is that say you have a horse that’s gotten sick and wont accept a healing kit or eating its way out of hunger, well this horse happens to be a 3.2 version horse. Well when we repair the horse we always send it back at the most current version which in this case is 3.5. So say you have a horse that has glitched for example or you are super partial to the old 1.3 style horses, in this case we do not support the glitch and when remade it will come back at the most current version and as it is supposed to be and the same applies to older versions like stated above.

Next important reason to update to the latest version:

The latest version of any of our breedables always has the most current bug fixes and generally are better in many areas, some bug fixes in the updates are not always apparent but they happen in the background to make your breeding experience more enjoyable!!!

Now possibly the reason most people update is to be breedable to the new starters that come out with an update as they have to be of the same version to breed!

Now you can see why its always best to make sure you update to the latest version of our breedables 🙂

Goodbye Old, Hello New

Well, it’s almost time for the New Year!

Saying goodbye to the Old Year.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about the past year. A lot of good times, that will stay in my memories and also some sad times that have taught me things and made me a stronger person.

Saying hello to the New Year

To new beginnings

Let us all start fresh, and make this the best year we ever had.

To our Dreams

May everyone find a path that leads them to fulfill their most wanted hopes and dreams, a path that is lit by happiness,

To our friends and loved ones

Let us not forget to take the time to let them know how important they are, and that we cherish each and everyone of them, and how much they mean to us to have them in our lives.

Recipe for a Happy New Year

Author: Unknown

take twelve whole months, clean them thoroughly of all bitterness, hate, and jealousy. Make them just as fresh and clean as possible.

Now cut each month in to twenty-eight, thirty, thirty-one different parts, but don’t make up the whole batch at once. Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients.

Mix well into each day one part of faith, one part of patience, one part of courage, and one part of work.

Add to each day one part of hope, faithfulness, generosity, and kindness. Blend with one part prayer, one part meditation, and one good deed. Season the whole with a dash of good spirits, a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play, and a cupful of good humor.

Pour all of this into a vessel of love. Cook thoroughly over radiant joy, garnish with a smile, and serve with quietness, unselfishness, and cheerfulness.

Your final results may vary depending on your attitude.

Have a Happy New Year!

For those of you who go out for New Years Eve, please be safe, don’t drink and drive, and be aware that there are others out there that are drinking and driving.

From Mal to all of you….YOU are special to me!!!

Happy New Year

Hey guys just stopping in and wanted to share some Christmas Cheer!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”

Happy Holidays everyone! Until next time this is Ava over and out!
