Folders and Inventory

Hello everyone today I am going to talk about folders and inventory management.
Linden Lab has put together a nice KB article on managing your inventory over at: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Inventory-management/ta-p/700093

I want to discuss why its Important to send your items in a folder rather than a box or all separately.

The reason we ask for a folder with your name and ticket number on it is because its easier to sort and look for a folder than it is to find an object or a horse and a notecard and it helps us help you faster and more efficiently!

Now the fun part ideally we want all folders to have 2 parts to their name like so ( Your SL name ( no display names please ) – Your Amaretto Ticket Number ( i.e ABC-xxx-xxxxx ) ) this will help us find your folder quicker and be able to quickly find your ticket number please be sure that your ticket number follows this format: ABC-xxx-xxxxx the easiest way is to copy and paste the ticket ID from the ticket system.

Keep in mind that if you have more than 42 items ( including any folders inside the folder ) that you will have to make a second folder to send them as SL does not allow more than 42 items in a single transfer so in this case please indicate on the folder name that its a second folder for that ticket ( like putting #2 on the end )

Now when we send you back your fixed horses/bundles you will get a folder like this ( in this case when i send the folder mine looks like this: Amaretto Horses/Bundles from Tmzasz Luminos -Repaired ) all folders from the CSR’s follow the same naming scheme Amaretto Horses/Bundles from CSR NAME -Repaired this way when you get the folder back you can use the inventory search feature to find the folder easily and be able to enjoy your fixed horse(s)/bundle(s) sooner 🙂

Now creating a folder is easy all you do is right click ( or command click if your using a mac ) in either the My Inventory folder or another folder ( like the Objects folder ) and click New Folder then under the folder you clicked on a New Folder will be created and ready to rename to whatever you want to name it. Once you are done changing the name it will fall in order with the other folders and be ready to add your inventory to it. After you have placed the horses/bundles and any additional information you can add for the ticket pull our name up in search and drag the folder over to us and we will get it ( even if we are offline! ) and we will respond in your ticket if more information is needed or if no info is needed you will have your fixed bundle(s)/horse(s) sent back in the folder described above!

I hope this helps everyone understand the folder system better and be sure to check that link out at the top for even more inventory management tips.

Transaction History

Everytime you buy or sell items, or even give items to someone, or get items from some one, even if it is for 0L a transaction history is made.

When you send a ticket about duplicated or lost items that you have recently purchased, we may be asking for a transaction history to verify your purchase or exchange, if it becomes necessary. To speed up the answer to your ticket, please include this when you file.

You ask, Where do I find my transaction history? The answer is simple, at the top of your screen you will see the word WORLD, left click, then left click on account history, and find your transaction. Then copy that and paste onto your ticket.

HORSE HUMOR

Did you hear about the horse with the negative altitude? He always said “Neigh”

What kind of horse has trouble keeping track of his Macintosh? An Appaloosa!

What’s the hardest thing about learning to ride a horse? The ground!

What duo were famous for stealing horses? Bonnie and Clydesdale!

What disease do horses fear most? Hay Fever!

A man left for a trail ride on Friday, and came back three days later on Friday. How? His horse’s name was Friday!

The eastern lady who was all ready to take a horseback ride said to the cowboy, “Can you get me a nice gentle pony?” “Shore,” said the cowboy. “What kind of saddle do you want, English or Western?” “What’s the difference?” asked the lady. “The western saddle has a horn on it,” said the cowboy. “If the traffic is so thick here in the mountains that I need a horn on my saddle, I don’t believe I want to ride.”

Third Party Products

Amaretto gets quite a few tickets and questions each day about a few Third Party Products so I thought I would use my blog to talk about them.

First off the Automatic Feeder by Ritzy Breedables that is made by Richie Carami.  Yes the General Manager of Amaretto Breedables did find the time to make a 3rd party product for the community LOL. Richie put this product out way back when Amaretto Horses first started and it is just one of many that are out there for purchase in the community. This is not an official Amaretto product it is indeed a 3rd party product. If you have issues with this product as stated in the instructions that come with it, you need to contact either Richie Carami or Tmzasz Luminos.

Next is the breed book by Avalon Crystal.  I’m sure many of you know Avalon as the most adorable of us CSR’s but she is also an accomplished photographer and takes some of the best pictures for Amaretto.  Well in her spare time she also decided to put together the Breed Book for the community as she saw many in the chat group asking for one.  This also is not an official Amaretto product, it is also a 3rd party product so if you have any questions about the Breed Book please contact Avalon Crystal.

The last product is actually a service, one that many of you use daily, myslhorses.com. This website is designed and maintained by NZ Shepherd and Calista Janus.  Although myslhorses.com has the Amaretto Breedables *Seal of Approval* and they work closely with us to provide this system, they are not an official Amaretto product they are also a 3rd party product.  When breeding Amaretto horses myslhorses.com is an invaluable tool that anyone who uses it normally swears by!  It provides you with all the information on your horses without you having to write a single thing down, that’s pretty sweet!  We all know how hungry Second Life can be at times and if you need to file a ticket with Amaretto for missing/lost horses going to your myslhorses.com page and finding the horse by name then clicking on edit will give you the horses uuid number and us CSR’s will be able to replace that horse a lot faster for you!  Now that rocks right  If you have issues with myslhorses.com they have a great CSR themselves named Storm Munforth and you can contact either her, NZ Shepherd or Calista Janus and they will be happy to help you.

These are just some of the products there are tons of other 3rd party products out there for use with Amaretto Horses as we have one of the most creative communities in Second Life!

Many of  you have been affected by the server issues from yesterday and the entire staff is here working extremely hard to do everything we can to get your issues handled.  Some of you know me personally and can testify to the fact that I don’t understand a lot of the technical mumbo jumbo that the scripter and the guys at the office talk about so I am going to try to tell you in my own words what happened yesterday.

When our server company did the backup yesterday something went wrong with a table and a lot of bundles that were dropped did not register on the server.  That means that some of you who saw the stats on your bundles and knew what you had still don’t have a viable bundle that registered to the mother horse.  You will be seeing a response in  your tickets that looks like this: According to our data base the mother horse did not have a viable bundle. Please send both the mother and the father of the bad bundle to (whatever CSR has your ticket) in a folder with your full SL name and Amaretto Ticket number. I will set both horses at 100% fervor and will send you a true random bundle. These are being handled as if you received a Bad_bundle because we have no way of replacing a bundle that did not register on the server. The true random bundles that are being sent do have the ability to have the same new traits as any of the starters that you would buy at the Amaretto Store locations.

**PLEASE INCLUDE UUID NUMBER’S FOR THE PARENTS ON YOUR TICKET**  Having the UUID’s of atleast the mother of the bundle will speed up the processing of your ticket.  You can locate the uuid by right clicking on the horse and copy and pasting the entire number from the description line into your ticket.

The entire team is saddened by this last issue and want you all to know the server has been migrated to a larger more stable server and now that the backup phase and migration are complete we are hopeful that these are all issues that have been solved and will not happen in the future.  We appreciate all your patience and support and again we extend our most sincere apologies.

Written by Dakota on behalf of the entire Amaretto Family

Hey guys!! Yay! Its Monday again!!  I know I have  missed you guys.

Ticket system is back up and running!
The main website is back up and running!
Amaretto Network! Spread the word add your friends! Advertise! Add me !!  SO be sure to go to http://amarettobreedables.com and sign up! Upload pics of you and your horses!! This is a great way to stay in touch  with other breeders, auctions, and markets!

New servers now up and running! What does this mean? Hopefully an end to any issues that were causing errors due to server issues.

I know that it has taken longer than we first anticipated to get everything up and running but all lights are green now!!!

Lots of exciting things happening at Amaretto!!

Today there is a few things I would like to speak with you all about.

First we have the issue with horses moving in all directions. This is caused by a release that LL did this morning. We are working hard with LL to get this fixed. We have been told the fix is being tested by LL and will be released next Tuesday in the weekly release. At this time we do advise everyone to make sure to turn movement off and make sure the home of the horse is set within range of the food. Remember this is just until LL does get the fix in next Tuesday.

Next thing is something I’m sure everyone has noticed… that is the server issues. The server is not in fact “going down”  it is just slowing down. This is due to all the wonderful customers out there that have made Amaretto what we are today. You all have made the company soar past  our exceptions. With that being said, we are working with our server company  to get a few more servers in place.  We are doing so so we can get things flowing more smoothly for now and for the future of Amaretto.  This process, however is taking a few more days to complete while the server company gets everything setup. We are monitoring the server 24/7. If the server starts to bog down we are on top of it. We do strive for great customer service and do want everyone to have a wonderful experience with the horses. Also, if you have any horses that do not birth during this time please do not pick up the “white” horses, they will reconnect. If a horse does not drop its bundle as soon as it is out of Pregnancy give the horse some extra time, it will drop it. All these issues will fix themselves if you give them time.

Myslhorses has been temporarily  taken off of our data base. This is to decrease the load on the servers. As soon as we do get the new servers in place we will be putting myslhorses back in place. Please keep in mind MySLHorses is a third-party product. It is not owned or operated by Amaretto Ranch Breedables LLC.

I would also like to mention one other thing. I have noticed a lot of people filing  tickets for “Mother Had Second Bundle Error”. Jaymee did a blog on this already. ( http://amarettobreedables.com/connection/?p=353 ) I want to just remind you if you do get a bundle that says ” MOTHER_HAD_SECOND_BUNDLE_IN_THREE_DAYS” , This is not a viable bundle. In 99% of the cases, the mother  has a viable bundle and these are 2nd bundles that can be deleted. Please note, Twins are NOT possible with the current version.

I would like to say thank you to all who have been patient with us while we work hard to improve your experience with Amaretto Breedables.

Protect your investment

Everyone needs to be aware that there are people out there that just go around and try to get horses for 0L and 10L. A lot of horses have been picked up in markets and auctions for 0L and 10L recently, they take them when you are repricing them or setting them for sale. when you set you horse out make sure it is priced correctly, and at auctions, set the price of the horse to a large number so they can not be taken.

We all forget to check our horses at times, and if someone does take your horse for 10L or less your amaretto team will be able to help you, but if it is over 10L, which is default setting we can not.

Another thing that is happening is people stealing fervor of other peoples males

If you have a horse out in an area that other people can bring their horses around, make sure your horses are set to owner only breeding, because people will bring their horses around to get a mating from other studs.

I would like to explain to the community how much nicer it is for the Team to come to work each day since Jaymee wrote her blog about getting along. I do not think people realize or remember that each of us on the Team are real people with real feelings. When we receive private messages and notecards, when we read forum posts and group chat where people are being really mean and nasty it can be very upsetting. Myself and the rest of the Team understand completely that you in the community have real money invested in this product, what I would like you all to know is this… So do we. We, just like you, love these horses and want nothing more than everyone to have a great breeding experience. In fact if you were to go and look on the Amaretto Website that was the exact reason that Josaphine and Jaysin started Amaretto Breedable. To emphasis this point to everyone in the community  I was thinking it would be nice for the community to get to know the people behind the avatars, to let you know a little about the Real people on the Amaretto Team that work so hard every day to try and make sure you have an enjoyable breedable experience. After reading this you may decide, much like I have, that calling ourselves the Amaretto Team is really not an accurate description. We should henceforth be known as Your Amaretto Family!

Our Owners/Creators, Josaphine & Jaysin Cooperstone

Josie & Jaysin are a real life couple! They are engaged to be married and share a home in California with Josie’s kids, 3 spoiled rotten dogs and 2 snobby cats.  Before Second Life Josie was a nurse in RL and Jaysin worked in Heating & Air Conditioning.

The CSR’s,  Jaymee – Maleficent – Tmzasz – Karrie – Richie – Avalon – Dakota

Jaymee Caproni is Josaphine’s RL sister!  Not only are they sisters in real life, but I can say from countless hours spent with these two ladies they are indeed best friends.  Jaymee lives a few houses down from Josie and Jaysin with 4 of THE most entertaining children I have ever met. Jaymee was also a nurse in RL before SL.

Now the mother’s in the family.  I would like to say that these two women keep the rest of us in line, but I refuse to lie. LOL We have to keep our eye on these two at all times!

Maleficent Farshore lives in Virginia with her RL son Tmzasz Luminos.  She enjoys long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners ….oh wait that was suppose to go in her personal ad.  She is an office manager during the day and CSR extraordinaire by night! Tm as many of you know is the Webmaster for Amaretto, as well as a CSR.  Prior to SL he worked as an electrician before leaving that to pursue being a full time computer geek!

Karrie Woyseck just happens to be MY real life mom!  She lives in South Carolina with my dad where I grew up. Besides me, her favorite and only daughter, she has 2 other headaches, I mean I have 2 brothers.  Before SL Karrie worked in retail.

Richie Carami our big city country boy! Richie moved to New York from Kentucky and New York hasn’t sounded the same since! Before SL Richie was a Stage Hand setting up for many of the top acts in the entertainment industry.

Our little Ava. Avalon Crystal might technically be Richie and Jaymee’s daughter in Second Life but she’s been adopted by everyone on the Team. Ava lives in Georgia and before SL was a Customer Service Manager ….hey I bet that’s why she’s everyone’s favorite CSR!

Then there’s me, Dakota.  I live in Indiana with my husband and kids. Before SL I was an office worker, working as a Secretary and in Accounting.

So there you have it, a little real life information about each of us.  I hope that makes it easier to remember your Amaretto Family are humans, and we are trying our best to make this wonderful world of Amaretto Breedables an enjoyable experience for you all.

Hello Horse lovers!

I would like to start my blog out by saying that each and everyone of us here at Amaretto appreciate each and every loyal supporter out there. Amaretto would not be where it is today if it wasn’t for you. We at Amaretto try to do all things possible to make everyone happy and content with their horse raising and breeding experiences. Unfortunately, as everyone know, it is virtually impossible to do so. There is always going to be someone who we were unable to please or satisfy, and this does sadden us. We want Amaretto to be an enjoyable experience for all. As Amaretto grows… changes and fixes are inevitable, and for all of you who have stuck by us through the changes, we just want to say you are very respected and appreciated!

With that being said, Amaretto has pride in it’s company and will no longer allow our groups and forums to become a breeding ground for downing, trash talking, or plain out slandering of Amaretto, the individuals who work for Amaretto or Amaretto customers. Constructive criticism is ALWAYS accepted when offered with concern or care but, a line has to be drawn somewhere. If anyone is found in the groups, forums, or support system, trashing talking Amaretto as a company, the individuals that work for Amaretto, or Amaretto customers, it will not be tolerated. The person/persons found to be doing these such actions can and will get their rights to all groups, forums, and the ticket support system revoked, as we deem necessary to stop the issues. The Amaretto owners, developers, and Staff work long, hard hours to try and make this a memorable and fun time for all. Let’s please keep the groups and forums calm and peaceful. The groups and forums are meant to be an informative, enjoyable place for all to come. And please, keep the support system free from negativity and rude nonconstructive comments. Our support system is meant to help individuals with technical issues for the horses and bundles. It makes the CSR’s jobs harder and more time consuming having to shift through the negativity and find the tickets of customers that are truly needing help.

Basically, Amaretto wants horse breeding and raising to be an exciting and fun time. We know a lot of people have left or closed the groups and miss out on important information because of the constant turmoil in the groups and forums. We will be cracking down on the individuals responsible for the ruckus and will not be allowing Amaretto, Amaretto employees, or any other individuals to be belittled or talked down to. Again, the groups, forums, and support system are there to help our customers, to keep our customers informed of Amaretto news, and to allow customers and fellow breeders a place to come and share their positive experiences with the horses.

Thank you again for all who have supported Amaretto. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Until my next post…….
